I ordered from here through Uber Eats and felt like I should write a review considering all the negative ones. I ordered three soul food platters, lemonade, and chocolate cake. From what I can see, a couple of the reviews should be aimed at the delivery apps and not the restaurant. To be honest, I also had issues with the whole delivery because it was delayed and was missing a whole platter - which is an issue with Uber Eats, not with this business. The delay didn't bother me too much (ordered at 12 pm and received the order at 1:50 pm) especially because the restaurant called me to notify me and apologized ahead of time. However, when the order arrived I realized a whole platter was missing. The way this issue was handled is a large part of why I wanted to write this review. I called the restaurant and ended up speaking with the owner who explained that the Uber driver left behind part of the order. When they called the Uber driver, the driver did not return to the restaurant. They then helped me get the missing platter and provided some extra food because of the issue. The owner (I unfortunately can't remember her name) was very apologetic and tried her best to fix the issue. All that aside, the food itself was amazing! Just what was craving. The baked chicken was so tender and well seasoned. It went perfectly with the mac n cheese and collard greens, which were both delicious. Downed all of them with the refreshing pink lemonade. And the chocolate cake... so moist and decadent. Overall, I'll definitely be ordering from here again (just not with Uber eats)!

Being in Philly and wanting soul food I thought this place would be good but it well under whelming and the pic shows this. The shrimp was not tasty at all and they did not seemed to be cooked through. The French fries was also not good. I do not recommend food from here.

I was wrote in by the buy one get one wings which was the biggest mistake of my night. You can tell the wings were frozen because the bones were black. Furthermore, they insist to put some type of breadcrumb on it, but when they go into a box, it becomes soft to the touch and quite disgusting. I would not recommend ordering.

If you want GREAT soul food, then order from here. You can order on Grubhub for delivery or order it on that app and pick it up. I've done both! I love their macaroni and cheese and sweet potatoes which I get every time. You won't be disappointed. They have desserts too.

Their license should be canceled. Worst decision that I've ever made is to order food from this place. Please save your money and don't order from this restaurant, if you can call it that. I love supporting new/small businesses but they don't deserve to be in business if they can't even make edible fried chicken.

Trash! My brother ordered a "chicken sandwich" with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles....First of all the food took FOREVER!!!When he opened the box it was 3 none crispy "chicken tenders" on 2 pieces of white bread with fries that looked like they sat and were refried, everything was cold and clearly thrown together like THROWN together.One of his boxes had some cheese on the side and bits of lettuce at the bottom, IT WAS ONLY "chicken tenders" & BREAD so clearly the box was reusedIm a chef so when he opened the box I genuinely cracked up! like I laughed for a good 5 minsI really could not believe people are serving food like that, i told him not to order the food after I checked out the reviews and he did anyway and was highly disappointed lol

Ordered on Uber eats and it was hands down the grossest food i have ever looked at. Fish sandwich was green none of it had any flavor and couldn't even eat half the food. If you are thinking about going here save yourself the money and the probable food poisoning and go literally anywhere else in philadelphia.

The BAD: The first thing I would do is ask the chef to do a few "Favors" for the city of Philadelphia. Favor #1, don't cook anymore. The waffles, shrimp and grits were horrible. The waffles were soft and not fully cooked. The grits were lumpy and oily. The number of shrimp distributed in our 3 orders of grits & shrimp were not consistent. The Good:The manager Curtis was very professional in hearing and handling our complaints. End result, we collaborated with GrubHub and Curtis to get a refund. This place only gets a star because Curtis was incredibly professional in handling the situation.

Never again will I order from this place. There was hair in my food and my chicken was raw. I also ordered a slice of chocolate cake and it was old and mildew. I might report these people. Such a huge health hazard.

Im bout to be brutally honest. I only had favors three times. The first time was good and the second time was ok. Third time was horrible. This time there was no favors in anything. I have got ribs, Mac and cheese and greens platter. I also ordered a bunch of sides like yams, potato salad, and mashed potatoes with gravy. I just wanna point out the only thing I liked was the Mac and cheese. Everything else was nasty. The ribs was stale and to the bones drench in bbq sauce. The greens were ok but was missing some type of ingredient and it was a huge piece of leaf , it was cut very well.The mashed potatoes with gravy was most disgusting thing out of everything. It was chunky with just gravy on top and no favor. The potato salad wasn't bad it just had too much mustard and eggs in it not enough potatoes. The yams kinda of conflicting because it was ok in the beginning then far down the container it tasted different. The yams wasn't sweet enough.Whoever made this one , shame on you and they probably need a better cook of something because they going down hill.
