Farmer's Fresh Meat

Ordered the premium oxtails plate from Ubereats. Been hearing about this place since forever but yesterday was my first time trying. All i can say is WOW!!! Foods were still hot when they came, Oxtails were so savory and tender, generous portions and great price. Worth every penny spent!!! Will definitely be coming back to try their other foods( pork feet and fried chicken). Food 8/10Price 8/10

Thank you the boudin was a hit at the bbq...beef, chicken and especially the spicy pork, just enuff heat. Service was great and prices just as well.

Ugh. Parking is trash depending on what time you go. It's right next door to the liqua sto. Upon opening the door there is a smell, I can't describe it, but if I had to think about it, old blood and mildew. The place looked clean though, so I wasn't alarmed. Just like when you go to granny house and it's a distinct smell but it's CLEAN. I got the crawfish boudain. Then went to the hot section. Friday afternoon, 1st of the month, they ain't have no Yams, macaroni and cheesey, cabbage or sock it to me cake. I really don't know why they were even OPEN. I got the oxtail and they were luster. API AND GREASY SPOON have the best oxtail in the city and idk who disagrees! I won't be back. They didn't even have any spicy cracklin!

Had a sunday craving for pig feet. saw this was one of the only restaurants that had what I was looking for (besides the big soul food eateries). pig feet were delicious, and large portion! the greens were mushy and flooded in juice -- not my liking. yams and cornbread delicious as well. will order again for next sunday meal craving!

Unfortunately, my experience at Farmer's Fresh Meat was far from stellar. I visited the meat shop in search of quality cuts, but the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, offering minimal assistance when I inquired about their selection. The meat, while adequate, didn't justify the lackluster service. Perhaps it was an off day for the establishment, but it left me with a subpar impression. I hope they can address their customer service issues to make the overall shopping experience more enjoyable.

Went on yesterday and went to cook the meat on today. It's bad! The smell is horrible. I know they had to smell this before selling it to me. But it's ok, I'll stick with going to H‑E‑B.

They went down to 2.5 stars for me due to their lack of customer service and getting my wife & I's order wrong! Though it was through Uber Eats. Someone did not look at the details in the notes we put! Food is still decent, though they use a little to much oil in some of their food. Main reason for the 3 stars is because the lady who provided poor customer service had a serious attitude.

Meh, good fried chicken. Greens were cooked way too long and were mushy.

I used to frequent this location before moving to the Northside near the Mesa location but I was nearby and I deserved a good meal. I arrived at 10:30am and ordered some sausages and hog head cheese, the butcher was dry, unfriendly and rushed so boy was I greatful he took the time out of his busy schedule to assist me! Got home and discovered the cajun beef sausage was spoiled and an attempt to salvage it was made by the butchers by overseasoning it. Money down the drain. I stood in line for the hot bar at 10:45am and the line grew longer and I watched them gradually bring out steam trays. I knew by their speed that they weren't fully prepared because lots of meats and sides weren't brought out. The kitchen opens at 11:00am but by 11:20am someone's auntie shouted from the kitchen that what was available was all they had and it would be another half hour before the full menu was available. Of course what I wanted wasn't out yet so I opted for something else because I was already irritated. I ordered a beef tip plate with mac n cheese and cowboy beans and meatloaf with mac n cheese and black eyed peas. The sides were bland, cheese was runny and beans were hard, the meatloaf wasn't cooked throughly and the meat still looked pink, instead of risking food poisoning I passed on the whole plate. The beef tips weren't tender and could've been cooked at least another 30 mins. The fountain drink machine had water leaking water from the ice machine down from the dispenser so you got a nice mix of water/ice. It was a hard pass.
