Far East Chinese Cuisine

Solid to go lunch options and one of the few prices point you'll still find for under $10 for lunch. No frills take out joint. The lunch egg roll has been downsized a bit here to more of a spring roll. The fried rice is passable but not the best out there.

The food is delicious, but the prices have gone up so much in the last few months, that I can no longer afford to eat here. A shrimp fried rice cost $12 in February 2024, and now it's $15?? I'll pass.

Fresh tasty food? Not for us apparently. Ordered takeout since it was nearby and Grubhub screwed us on an order right before from a different place. Nothing was good at all, egg rolls tasted and looked like the kind you get frozen at the store, sesame chicken was salty/greasy and had that old/dirty fryer oil taste. Dumplings weren't terrible but not good either. Maybe better on other nights or different menu items but not going back to find out. This is why I don't trust internet reviews. Service was quick and friendly but unfortunately that was the only good thing

Fresh Chinese takeout. A very clean establishment . We have never been disappointed. Salt and pepper wings are amazing.

Fantastic takeout. Excellent service. Great flavors. Crispy vegetables and tender perfectly cooked meats.

A very plain, very clean storefront in a tiny strip mall with a mid century modern sign that once may have had neon. Three chefs working hard and the owner managing things. He told me is dad ran the Pepsi/Happy Garden, which was so popular in Chinatown back in the day, and he worked with his father at several establishments. The food is tasty, non overly sweet or salty, and the ingredients are fresh and high quality. Without disparaging the other Chinese food purveyors in NW Philly, none makes high quality Cantonese style food of or even near this quality!

I love Chinese food I don't know what's happening to the pricing in strip malls Chinese restaurants. Anywho I spent $30 for 2 entrees and was deeply disappointed. During the pandemic I flirted withYouTube Chinese recipes and I believe I can do better

I literally never review restaurants but I just feel like Far East has been nothing but exceptional every time we order from them. We have lived in Germantown for 6 years and only discovered them a year ago - feel so stupid for having missed out for so long! The food is great classic Chinese takeout - delicious and still like the takeout you think "let's get Chinese tonight" but also tastes higher quality than many. And the customer service is excellent too. We've had a handful of great experiences with their people. Don't sleep on Far East!

Love Far East! Everything I've tried is super fresh and expertly prepared. This is a gem in the Germantown food scene.

Awesome customer service. The food tasted fresh and not overly greasy/salty. We will definitely go back!
