Fajita Flats

We've been to the other flats location and finally made it to the this location. 5 of us semi-foodies ordered a plethora of goodies and everything was very tasty. The chili on queso bowl was very good. The pechuga del mar was enjoyed by my wife, shrimp and chicken and avocado. On buddy got the platos mexicanos and she picked two cheese enchiladas with black beans. I got the chicken fried steak with white gravy, fries and a salad. I shared some of it with my son and both of us enjoyed it. One of us enjoyed a margarita on the rocks with salt on the rim. I think we decided we'll be back for more. The service was good too.

Not sure what happened but this is not Fajita Flats anymore. I stopped by when I saw a new sign up stating all day Happy Hour. It's now named Fajita Grill. Not sure if anything inside has changed other than the letters on the wall that now state FAJITA GRILL. The prices are pretty cheap compared to other Mexican restaurants I have been to. Ordering to go and will advise how everything came out once I dig in. Hopefully they will make a profile on Yelp for the new establishment. Got home and opened up the food and presentation wise was on point. The food was very reasonable priced and they gave a nice amount of food. The food was actually delicious. Everything was good. The warm salsa was very good and chips were fresh and warm. Chile con queso was nice and thick and my son could not stop eating it lol... I ordered the Plato Mixto with ground beef instead of opting for the shredded chicken. The taco was soggy because I don't stay close by but was delicious along with the quesadilla and taco were flavored and tasty. My only complaint was the charro beans were not the best. Guacamole could have used more seasoning but I added salt at home. It also didn't have onion, jalapeños and the normal things I normally see in it. Overall I would definitely come back again. Definitely come check out this new establishment...

I prefer Fajita Flats to Sopapilla Sharps.Pretty standard Tex-Mex fare, which isn't nearly as good as some of the better Tex-Mex places in town, and Tex-Mex food itself isn't nearly as good as most of the other cuisine in town, such as real Mexican.But having said that there are some attractive people working here and some friendly people working here, and if you can wade through all the fake reviews, you might even find a few decent dishes.

Disappointing fajitas especially because their name is Fajita Flats; extremely mediocre to bad. The charro beans and chips were very good. I just wish my main entre, fajitas were good. They were mediocre.The waiter took my order served my food and never checked back with me once and then he expected a tip. I gave him one but he did not deserve or earn it.I guess you know that I will not be going back.

Tried this place for the first time today and just from walking through the door my group and I felt welcomed. The salsa was amazing and they gave us free vegetable soup on the house it was so yummy I wanted more the flautas were huge and crunchy and everyone loved their food. Definitely coming back.

I love that the menu is vast, with emphasis on seafood. Margaritas are muy delicioso! Service consistently good and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Not fancy so no need to get all dressed up. Particularly like the Murphy Road location.

Went to stafford location after a movie with my wife. The parking lot was very empty (Saturday night at around 8:40p). I had been here twice a few years before and it was always busier than this. We sat down and ordered our drinks. Ambient was so much louder than i remember even though there were only 3 other tables being used. Music was very loud at times, to the point where my wife and I almost had to shout to hear each other, and other times it was almost silent, as if they were just messing with it instead of a standardized ambient volume. I ordered some cheese smothered chicken breast covered in cream sauce and my wife had the fajita quesadillas. Cheese that was used on the chicken was the one normally used for the tex-mex style enchiladas, chicken felt very dry, almost like it was reheated on a microwave before being covered in the cheese. Im not sure what happened with the cream sauce, i didn't see it. Normally you get tortillas at other places for plates like these, not here. I found a bit of a bone in my plate, im not sure why. And my knife seemed like it was rested on the hot plate and melted at the handleFajita quesadillas were very different. Hard to explain the texture of the flour tortillas used, but it was almost crunchy somehow. The meat itself lost its flavoring among the greasiness of the unit as a whole. So greasy.. First chance I got i asked the waiter to please bring me my check so i could pay and leave. We hadn't even made it back to our vehicle when my wife was almost overwhelmed by nausea due to all the greasiness. Lets be clear, i don't want to get anything out of this rant, just sharing my honest experience. If you're looking for either good Tex-Mex or Mexican food, this isn't it

Worst chalupa I have ever tried....nothing like the restaurant was in the early 2000's....used to love their food...not today...made me sick...paid and left.
