Good: good food but nothing outstanding. Went for brunch and was a bit disappointed that it only had brunch items and not some of its regular lunch item that I wanted to try. The focaccia is good, but they brought us butter instead of ricotta. It's still good but well it's not what it said it is. Service: slow so go with friends and enjoy some drinks! Good to consider it's a lazy Sunday brunch. Ambience: has a rooftop, inside it's kind of dark but you can still get big floor to ceiling windows. I think it's more suitable for dinner.

I've been to the other Etta location in river north (recently closed) but this was my first time at the Bucktown location. I like this one a lot better! The space has more character and sitting on the rooftop patio was so nice on a beautiful Saturday! We came for lunch around 1 and there was plenty of seating. They were still serving their brunch menu which has a range of brunch plates and their pizzas. We split 2 pizzas between 3 of us and it was the perfect filling amount! we got the Margherita and the wild mushroom and both were delicious, though we all liked the Margherita better. The sauce was so fresh and flavorful! I'd like to come back and try their pastas, as I enjoyed the brunch when I went to the other location previously. Definitely can't go wrong with Etta!

After a couple of years, some friends wanted to try this spot back in December and I was in the mood for pasta so we came back for lunch and I was much more impressed this time. It was a weekday lunch so a little more quiet and our server was still attentive and friendly. Booth seating and decor is very nice. Gin drink - would skip, could only taste the gin and even then it was slightly watered down. Ricotta Pillows - delicious, ricotta was soft and the sauce was sooo good. I liked the spiced black walnuts on top and fresh rosemary. Farm Greens Salad - refreshing salad, the apples were really crisp and vinegrette was lightChitarra Cacio e pepe - perfect creaminess and the shaved parmesan on top was. shaved so light so it melted in which was really nice. Pappardelle alla bolognese - was decent but I wouldn't feel inclined to order again DIavola Pizza - absolutely delicious. The pizza is thin, the meat has a kick and the calabrian chile honey was perfect. What I loved even more was the sauce and spice pairings! The giardiniera pepper was amazing - could buy a jar of that home and spread it over everything.Personally, I'd skip the brunch and go to lunch!

Really cute rooftop spot to eat at, but not a place to get full unless you have money to spend. It makes sense that there are small bites as most folks seem to come here for drinks. Compared to the location in Scottsdale, AZ, I was a bit disappointed in portion size.Ordered the cacio e pepe and grilled beef. The pasta was great, not too salty as some places do it. Unfortunately, the grilled beef was so little food for $47. It was also under the "For the Table" category so I thought the portions would be larger - if not put it in the "Starters" section! We were still quite hungry after but decided to go somewhere else instead of order more. Overall not a bad place, we just had the wrong expectations going in.

I picked up to pizzas from Etta. I placed the order online and the food was ready before the promised time. Pickup process was straight forward, in and out with no issues. I ordered their Margherita pizza and their Diavola pizza. Both pizzas were delicious. The Margherita was made traditionally with red sauce, mozzarella di bufala, olive oil and basil. The Diavola had soppressatta picante, Calabrian chile honey and basil. The pizzas were definitely on the smaller side, especially for the price, but they were delicious and worth the price. The pizzas came with quality and ingredients and very flavorful. The crust was perfectly charred, and despite the pizzas looking small, they were still quite filling. Will definitely be returning.

We received a gift card to Etta for Christmas and decided to stop by for dinner on a Friday evening. Our service was fine, but not particularly notable. We ordered the Meatballs, Potatoes and the Bolognese. The potatoes were amazing, meatballs were great, bolognese was good but nothing to write home about. The ambience was weird...we were seated under a fake olive tree in the middle of the room? Overall, I would say we had a decent time, but we don't plan on returning (especially given recent events).

Came to get dinner with my best friends for one of their birthdays and thankfully the front desk was able to acknowledge my request for a table upstairs in the patio area. We got seated right away, but our server did take quite a long time throughout our whole dinner. We ordered the America waygu meatballs, margherita pizza, grilled waygu bavette, and cacio e Pepe. We loved the waygu meatballs which were thick and hearty and also liked the crust of the magherita pizza. We wanted our waygu bavette to be medium rare and unfortunately it was super rare. We were hoping to ask our server for it to be recooked, but he was hard to find in time to ask. It then took us 30 minutes to see him just for a water refill. Thankfully he remembered celebrating our friend's birthday with shots of a unique liquor and mini cookies. Service was underwhelming, but my friends and I were all enjoying each other's company.
