Really pleasant Sunday lunch. Both soups wonderful and full of flavor. My wives cow au vin was excellent albeit a bit too large after the hearty soup. My Moules were prepared perfectly with the sauce being just right. We did not have wine though there were many nice options. Wait staff was efficient and not pushy allowing us to enjoy the meal and talk without interruption We got there just in time as it was full by 12:20.

Came here for a quick lunch with a group of people and the restaurant staff were very accommodating and so pleasant! I got 2 appetizers but my friend got the risotto which was very good too and some of our other colleagues got the burger which also looked good! Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Escargot - Butter was a bit on the sweet side. But the escargot was still just the right amount of chewy and soft. And there was soo much better left for dipping with bread.Beef tartare - was very smooth, not too tangy. Was actually a sizeable portion for the smaller one and I felt really full just from eating this.

My son and I convinced my husband we had Togo try this restaurant for a Saturday lunch. The service and food was worth the drive in from The Woodlands and my husband is a French food convert. From appetizer through dessert, every dish was on point regarding flavors, presentation and the overall cook was on point. If I had to pick one dish as the star of dishes it would be the mussels. Our waiter urged us to get them as they had just arrived and they were amazing! It was the first time my son had mussels and he's now addicted. The broth was flavorful and I had no shame drowning my bread in every drop. We will definitely be back, sooner rather than later!

The place is close to the Rustic off the feeder of 610 south. The service is very formal and polite. The mood is very cozy and somewhat upscale without all the jazz. I came here for the salmon, so I ordered the Pavè De Somun Roti which is so delicious. It is a fillet of salmon with the fish skin fried on a bed of black eyed peas and a soft green. I recommend this with either sparkling water or a white whine. It was magnificent!

Mes compliments au chef! This place was recommended by the passport lady at the French consulate nearby and she specifically said to try the moules marinières. So i did and I wasn't disappointed! The mussels were huge and so well cooked and tender. The only surprise was the creamy sauce rather than the typical wine sauce but it was nonetheless excellent.I ended with an Ile flottante with pistachios and again the chef or his pastry chef are showing that they know their stuff. Will be back when I am in Houston.

The food is excellent, good quality, well prepared and well presented. But there's a big problem that does not let you enjoy your food as one would like. The sonority of the room is terrible, you cannot hear your partner but you can hear the conversation of other people from far away and there is a constant noise of mixed voices.I would suggest to contact an engineer in sound and find out how this can be remedy. May be just a few changes will do it.Another problem: people facing the entrance door are blind by the outside light that does not let them see the person in front of them. A shade like the one in front of the window should solve the problem. Also the lights inside should be a little bit brighter, one can hardly read the menu....I want to insist that the food is excellent and I always recommend it to my friends.

This is the second time I have been to Etoile, and the first time for a regular meal. My last visit was to catch the happy hour steak special. This visit, I had the mushroom ravioli. followed by the braised short rib in bordelaise sauce. I finished the meal with the Pastilla au Chocolat. The food was excellent, from end-to-end.The service was excellent. The waiter was very pleasant, but professional. The service assitants kept my water glass filled and bread on the table.I was in the outer dining room, which is nice, but the inner room is clearly more intimate. The one downside was that I was given a less desirable table, as I was dining alone. I was in a corner, next to a fabric screen, meant to block people entering the restaurant from being seen by the entire dining room. It felt isolated and a bit cramped. That was the only downside to a fine meal.
