So, I'll start with the better things about this place. The ambiance is very nice and cozy and romantic yet casual setting. The hostesses were super nice and welcoming. The food presentation was fancy, but I wish I could rave about the flavor. My friend had ordered the Lamb pasta special of the day and her dish was extremely delicious, but my plate which was the Frutti de mar - was quite bland. The seafood on my plate was quite overcooked. It just lacked the bold flavors and fresh seafood I had hoped to taste. The Basil Pina Colada was delicious, it just needed a bit more Malibu Rum, and the dessert I ordered which was the tiramisu was OK. It too was quite bland. Not sure if they use Decaf or what, but it didn't have the bold taste of café it usually has at other places. Overall, I would go back and perhaps try a different dish.

Outstanding menu (fish!), great cocktails, enthusiastic and attentive servers. SLAMMED on a recent Saturday but stayed right on time with our reservation. Thumbs up! Solid spot.

Really enjoyed my entire experience! The rolisotto balls are excellent as well as many of the pasta dishes. Service was great as well! Super cute small restaurant with tasty food and quality service.

I will give this place two stars because it was absolutely adorable inside and their bruschetta was delicious. The waiter was the most rude person my friends and I encountered. 2/3 of us sit down and I get my phone to check in. I get a notice for a pizza and bottle of wine for $20. Once our third friend arrives we decide on drinks and I mention the offer. The waiter argues why I could not use that because we weren't seated at the bar for HH offer. He continued to tell us the front asked us as seating which isn't true and we didn't know HH existed it was on offer when we checked in. Adding shrimp to my salad was 3 shrimp for $9! Throughout the night he was rude, short, never asked how to split the check (and we waited 40 mins to pay)Roberto absolutely made the evening very clear to never return.

Called in for pickup after a great dine-in experience a few weeks ago. $11 for a "side ceasar" that could fit in the palm of my hand and a mystery extra $2 for the pizza (website menu price is $16). Extremely disappointed this time around and probably won't return in the near future.

Delightful place to enjoy fresh, delicious Italian meal. The service was excellent, valet parking is available with courteous valet attendants. There is also self parking available in certain areas at certain times. Also, recommend making reservations to ensure seating as it can get busy. The ambiance is semi dressy, but also casual. Can visit for a date or catching up with friends. We ordered appetizer Bruschetta Misti, which was served in three variations. I tired the wild mushroom & burrata and enjoyed it. My two friends enjoyed theirs one was tomato & basil and the other cannellini beans & anchovy. I did have a glass of their red sangria. It was good, nothing notable other than refreshing & was a bit tart. I tried the Pasta alla Besciamella, and it was what sold me on having to return. The chicken was savory & wood fire grilled chicken, the Parmesan sauce wasn't overpowering. Prior to choosing a menu item, I did ask if they could make a Cacio e Pepe and was told they could. Might try that next time. My friend enjoyed the roasted lamb chops di Montalcino & finished his plate with no complaints. Finally finished the night with chef crafted in house cookies & cream gelato. Light & not overly sweet. Didn't feel guilty having it.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Houston. I go every time I'm in town.The restaurant location and decor is very low-key and inviting, but the service is like fine dining. The waiters and waitresses are attentive & know the menu and specials from memory. They're always kind and accommodating.Their pizza is delicious! The bread is fresh and the sauce and cheese are perfection.My personal favorite is the short rib ravioli. I'm drooling just typing that. It's SUPER rich, so even though it only comes with about 4 ravioli, it is definitely filling. I don't eat seafood, but my boyfriend swears by the frutti di mare. Definitely definitely try this place out. You won't regret it!

Delicious food in a lovely Italian bistro. We ate here Easter Sunday & were very happy with our meals. I had the chef special - grouper with lump crab meat served over lemon risotto. The sauce was incredible & the fish was TOP quality - so Very FRESH. My husband had the short rib ravioli with a delicate mushroom sauce.My son had a prosciutto arugula pizza which he throughly enjoyed. We will be back & highly recommend.

This is a true neighborhood restaurant, small, but warm and inviting. We have always had good service at the restaurant. I've had had the chicken marsala, pepperoni pizza, and onion soup. Everything was great. The owners just opened up a gelato shop next door. The quality of the gelato and service are also great at Gelato Rossa. Please help support small businesses. Skip the big chains. Go enjoy these gems.
