Typical Chinese takeout. I have no complaints. It's convenient, always hot and fresh. Surely an option on those lazy days when I don't feel like cooking. The people are friendly. Service is fast. It gets the job done.

I ordered seafood delight. 3/4 of the dish was broccoli. All of the seafood was in the dish. I know that these places use imitation crab (pollock, gelatin or tapioca starch, egg whites, sugar, salt, chemicals, and food dye). The sauce was clear and so thick it was like clear wallpaper paste. I ended up rinsing all the food in a colander. If you order this, ask for no broccoli and the sauce on the side. The person taking my order at the window was polite!

I got the fried chicken wings with pork fried rice. Taking it back home, I noticed the smell of it wasn't particularly enticing but when I got it home and ate it, it was pretty good but not as nearly as good as those at Panda House in Garner. So, I can't give this place a high recommendation other than to say you do get a decent amount of food for your money.

Objectively, this place isn't terrible, especially when you factor in how disastrously low the bar for edible things in Clayton, NC is. If you're having a large group over and don't feel like cooking - 100% go here. You'll have leftovers for days that don't degrade with time in a 'fridge. The food is honestly okay. It's not a five star review because it's not a five star restaurant, but the food won't make you sick, and it's generally not bad. I honestly might have given this place 4 stars for that. But I have one major gripe with it: the chow mein. I've eaten here three different times, once in person and twice for takeout, just to be sure this wasn't a mistake. I even scoured through Google just in case MAYBE it's that every other Chinese restaurant I've been to around the world maybe just didn't make authentic chow mein. But no, literally EVERY SINGLE SOURCE describes chow mein in the same way: "stir-fried noodles." The words Chow+Mein literally mean stir-fried or sauteed + noodles. So please explain to me, Emperor's Choice, why every time I've ordered your chow mein, I get white rice and some weird soup of vegetables and pork with 0 noodles anywhere. It's not bad, don't get me wrong, it's just NOT. WHAT. I. ORDERED.

The wings are pretty good and the house lo mein is also. But it's your typical Chinese food, nothing to exciting. It's better than most in the area, so I'll definitely come back to this one.

Food was nasty. I got shrimp lo mienRice was way too sticky. The lo mien was way too cooked over cooked. A few shrimp only. Paid for hot oil and the woman told me it was in the bag. Of course it wasn't . Will never go back and word of mouth will get around. I said this one other time but definitely will not go back .

The service and food is always excellent. My absolute favorite is the Dragon & Phoenix. I order several times a month. They are truly the best in Clayton and I've tried them all.

Ordered pork egg foo young, chicken on a stick, hot and sour soup, egg rolls. Hot and sour soup was delicious and very fresh! Large chicken on a stick and cooked great with great flavor. Egg goo young was also great packed with veggies and the gravy was smooth not to thick and flavored well. Egg rolls were also cooked well without the soggy shell. It was crisp and flavorful on the inside. We will eat here again and I'm my opinion the price could not be better for the amazing food. I would put this up against the other far more expensive local Asian restaurants for sure. Servings are large with abundance of leftovers.

Subpar chinese food. Nothing special. Very greasy food not like fresh and clean chinese food if you know what i mean. My sesame chicken was soggy bc of the amount of sauce they dumped on it. Rice was ok and egg roll was ok.
