Emmy Squared Pizza - Queen Village

We came on a Friday without a reservation and we were able to get seated on the rooftop. I didn't know there was a rooftop and its sooo nice!! Defintely will be back in the summer for pizza and drinks. The pizza here is so good! I got the colony and added burrata on it and it was SOOO good. The ceasar salad was delicious as well! Square pizza is kind of hard to find around here. The burger was OK, there is hype around the burger but it didn't live to the hype. I will defintely be back to try the other pizzas!

Definitely not a bring to party since they are pricey for the size. More a small dinner. Since they're thick and greasy you will beBIG HAWAIIAN $19 (ezzo pepperoni, crispy bacon, pineapple, chile glaze) - the chile glaze made this. Even good the next day coldGOOD PAULIE $18 (caramelized onions, sausage, smoked gouda) - would skip this next time. There wasn't much flavor to it. When you did get a bite of the onions it was nice. Otherwise it was just thick yummy bread. Which is fine if you're looking just for thick yummy bread and not pizzaVIP $23 (vodka sauce, red sauce, garlic parsley pesto, sesame seed crust, ezzo pepperoni & calabrian chile)

Why did it take me so long to finally try this pizza?! Stopped in for lunch on a weekday and was seated immediately by a server/host that was friendly, thorough and helpful. The Margherita pizza with fresh burrata (on gluten free crust, available for all pies!) was a so delicious that we bought another to take home for dinner/the next day. Maybe the best lunch I've had in a while. Even the salad (and I do not love salad) was delicious and we took some of that home too! I love the clean, modern and bright feel of the space, which is also available for events and pizza making parties. I will most definitely be returning.

Ordered delivery from here. Order came in perfect with a ton of toppings! I got the Colony with pepperoni, jalapeño, and added mushrooms, sub vegan cheese. Crust was so buttery and crunchy! Was concerned the pizza was too small, but honestly is extremely filling. I would definitely order from here again.

I heard great things about this place and finally I got the chance to try it. Let's just say the hype is worth it. The pizza came as a square (like the name suggests). We had a mushroom and pepperoni pizza. The pizza was super thick. Definitely, the crust and bottom are to die for with the crispy/doughy goodness.

Pizza time! I had gotten a recommendation from my hairdresser when I told her I'd be visiting Philadelphia. She said "you HAVE to try Emmy Squared!" It was sunday night and we felt like having food brought to us, so we ordered via their website/door dash for delivery. We ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, it arrived without the grilled chicken which is why I had to take this review down to 4 stars instead of 5. Without the chicken it really was just lettuce and dressing, we were hoping for it to be a more filling salad since we planned on sharing a pizza. But the pizza, WOW. We ordered the Good Paulie on their gluten free crust. I'm personally not GF, but that crust could have fooled me for having gluten in it. The crust was sturdy yet soft and was the perfect vessel for the smoked gouda, carmelized onions, and crispy sausage loaded on top. This pizza was FULL of flavor. The cheese was so tasty. And the pizza arrived hot! I'm definitely wishing and hoping Emmy Squared will one day bring their magical pizzas to Pittsburgh!

Look, it's a good pizza spot. In fact, the interior really hooked me - I'd love to go here and just get drinks and apps or sit down and eat. It can both ways, and it draws a big crowd. Great energy, lovely design with the floor to ceiling windows...it's a good design. Can totally appreciate their focus on Detroit style pizza - that is my favorite. And honestly, they have a solid delivery. Was it something that stood out and will be memorable? Will I go there to get pizza all the time? Not necessarily, just because the pizza scene is on fire in Philly (so not a full knock against the spot, just takes a lot to stand out.) But I was glad to experience it, and if you are a local to that neighborhood, it is easily a standard go to joint for 'za. My favorite pie was one that I'd never seen anywhere else...the Seoul Mate (vegan spicy kimchi, sausage, peppers, mushrooms.) One of those pies where you wouldn't necessarily crave it, but when you want to venture out and try something different, this thing hits the spot. Spicy and tangy, perfectly paired with the sweet and earthy sausage & mushrooms. I give them props too, because while pizza is their main 'shtick, they have solid salad and apps along with it. Very good espresso martini!

Always make a reservation if you plan to dine in. When we tried to come here before on a weekend, we were told there wasn't any availability for the rest of the night (so we just walked down the street to the other great pizza place). The dining area is beautiful -- sleek, modern, and clean. Our server was a little too engaged in my opinion (very frequent check-ins early on), but she was very nice. In terms of price, it's a little on the higher side, but you do get about 1.5 meals out of a single pizza. Cheesy Garlic Sticks - Lovely bread, similar to focaccia bread. Plenty of cheese and garlic. The pesto sauce on top was a really nice touch. Highly recommend -- really nice for groups. Colony - The dough is great, similar to a focaccia bread. The crust is nicely done, crisp, but not too hard. The honey on the pizza doesn't make it overly sweet, which was my biggest worry. It really does enhance the pizza quite a bit, especially paired with jalapenos. However, my main gripes are the amount of sauce (light compared to the VIP) and the dry pepperoni (unfortunately overcooked). Fixing those two things would have really helped this pizza for me. This is some BOMB.com pizza period. Not only does this place come packed with flavor. My girl ordered the Margherita and I ordered the good Paulie. I was going back and forth between the good Paulie and the angel, but I'm not upset with my choice. I definitely plan on coming good back and trying the angel. Make sure when you come here, you try the cheese sticks. They were soo good!The service here is great. The people are nice and give you a bunch of recommendations. Our good came out super quick, and we just loved the vibes here overall.

I was pleasantly greeted immediately, my server was on top of everything during my entire visit. My pizza was delicious and my neighboring table food, looked delicious as well. Loved the vibe, and there were different sections including the roof top for whatever style dining you're in the mood for.
