I stopped by here bc I wanted to try their food and had the taste for egusi and fufu. First let me say I almost missed it because it's kinda tucked away but I was able to locate it after speaking with a sweet person on the phone. I wanted chicken egusi, but they only serve smoked turkey and goat egusi soup. I opted for the smoked turkey, fufu and cabbage as my side. The egusi soap was ok but it was too smoked for my liking and also salty. I did not like the fufu at all. It was more gritty than what I've had before and the cabbage was just ok. They do cook the food upon ordering so it's fresh and hot but I just didn't care for the taste. The ambiance was very quiet as I was the only one there besides staff. It was vibrant and cultured. I am glad I gave it a try however I think I will pass on it, in the future.

I found this restaurant after doing a search online. Everything I read had me excited to try this restaurant and cuisine for the first time. The next day I went in and all I can say is WOW!! The owner was so nice, and after I told him I'd never had goat before he offered me a sample:: not just the goat but other items on the menu too. I was very pleased. Everything was cooked excellently, and it wasn't heavy on my surgically reduced stomach. I can't complain about anything that I ordered. Even the red velvet cake was good --and I don't normally eat that type of cake .This is my new favorite restaurant and I HIGHLY recommend you try it out if you want a good, healthy meal!! NOTE: I got the egusi soup w/ goat, oxtails, spicy jollaf rice, coconut black beans & rice, plantains, green spinach, and fufu (this was for two people with enough for leftovers two days later).

Based off a recommendation from a coworker, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the peanut butter chicken with pondu and jollof rice. I also ordered plantains and a beef samosa. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I'm also pretty new to African food so I can only speak to taste based off my own preferences, I have no comparison for authenticity. The peanut butter chicken was tasty and tender. The portion size was generous. The chicken was served over the jollof rice. The flavor combo was very good. I was able to try the rice on it's own and enjoyed it without the peanut sauce as well. It was slightly spicy but not overpowering. I enjoyed both the chicken and the rice. I would definitely order both again. I wasn't a huge fan of the pondu but I was also taking a chance, knowing my own taste. I think it is prepared with salted fish so the dish was a little strong with fish flavor for my liking but the cassava leaves had a nice texture. The plantains were delicious. A perfect slightly sweet compliment to the peanut butter chicken and rice. The samosa was okay. I expected a little more flavor from the filling but the pastry was nice and flaky on the outside. They also had empanadas that looked good. I would like to try some other dishes. The restaurant is small but it was clean and had a good sanitation score. It's definitely worth checking out.

Amazing and authentic. The oxtail fell off the bone, fish was grilled and seasoned amazingly, and the Egusi and Fufu filled me up. Even the jerk chicken empanada was so delicious. The owner was very hospitable and welcoming. The cakes are made by the owners as well. Will be coming back.
