My first time at El Tiempo's Kingwood location. Chips and salsa were good. Green sauce is excellent. Didn't really care for the red sauce. The chicken fajita nachos were really good and some of my fav nachos for the area. The Michelada came with ice cubes in it. Not a fan of that. Service was friendly and took good care of us. The prices were a little on the high end. I would Deff be back for the green sauce alone.

So happy Kingwood got an El Tiempo! This is definitely one of the nicer Mexican restaurants in this town. The service was great and the inside of the restaurant is very cute and homey. Great for small and large parties. My shrimp fajitas were bomb! I would recommend getting those. I had a bite of the quail too which was divine. I also got a frozen margarita, but would rate it 3/5. The guac was okay. Their salsas are great & the tres leches was amazing! Overall, great restaurant with a big menu to pick from.

It took way too long to get my order considering that there was only two other diners in the restaurant. It was 1:30pm. When the food did arrive it was not hot at all. The melted cheese in the enchilada was already hard. Additionally, the food and the sauces were almost tasteless. I see now why the 3 star rating. I would give it about 1 star.

Best days to go are Mondays and Tuesdays as some of their menu meals are half price and frozen margaritas are half as well. Other than that, expect to pay for the over priced expensive meals that are bland, chicken that looks like it came out of a can, either under or over cooked other meat dishes. The overall quality and customer service has taken a nose dive among the chain of El Tiempo restaurants with this particular Kingwood location being one of the worst.

El Tiempo in Kingwood never disappoints! My husband and I come here from time to time, and we always enjoy it. The Chicken Taco plate is large enough to share, and so delicious. Alex was our server, and he was fantastic! You will never have to wait long for your food here. They are on it! Great service, ambience and quality fresh food are all part of the experience! We love El Tiempo!

Im very sorry to say that they failed at the 3 main factors that are most important. Taste, service, and value. Husband and I shared the chicken/beef combination fajita dish for 2. The chicken was dry and not tasty. The fajitas were so so. There also wasn't very much meat. We had to ask multiple times for soda, chips, even our bill. We are always kind when we ask, even so our Server was cold and acted like we were bothering her. Ultimately our view was that for quality and amount of food as well as the lack of good service, the value to visit again is just not there.
