El Taco Veloz

I enjoy seeking authentic Mexican tacos and I loved their freshly prepared tortillas; I would recommend asada over any other meats; the Al Pastor seemed reheated in too much oil, while the Chicharrón still had crunchiness to it. Though the onions were a nice addition, I wish they had been softer... they give off a better flavor. Great selection of fresh salsas, especially salsa de Molcajete. They have adequate Aguas Frescas- limon, fresa, horchata and other drink selections ($$). Calm and clean atmosphere, with reasonable service. Place your order at the register and return your dishes to an assigned area. Restrooms are clean, but the ceiling in women's could use some TLC. $$

Pay with cash. They accept most credit cards (no Amex) but it's a small business that makes delightful food. I'm here at least once a week because it's just delicious. All of it -- the tacos, the salsas, all of it. Bonus: Get yourself a frozen marg while you wait for your tacos.

Me and friends stop be here after a long day of hiking and I wanted to try some authentic tacos in Denver. Overall the tacos were good. I also got a drink with my tacos was the watermelon Fresca which is so refreshing. I love watermelon . The is the best tacos I found in Denver Colorado when I was visiting. The service type was pay then sit and they serve your food which is fast and easy . Parking lot is a little small . Overall the place was chill and they also have an open sauce bar as well. I got the green and orange color sauce . They were both solid sauces ! I enjoy the tacos !

We were in the area and decided to try this place out based on the good Yelp reviews. This place has awesome tacos! They actually have a variety of more unique tacos like tongue, cheek, intestines but we weren't that adventurous. We got the chicken flautas taco plate and a few gorditas. Both had a good amount of meat so i was definitely full. They were both very tasty. I also got the horchata drink and my friend got the bottle of 7Up made with pure cane sugar. Prices very very reasonable. The restaurant has a lot of seating and parking was easy. Great place to go for tacos!

Super good tacos. One of the best asada taco I've ever had. The pastor was also excellent. My wife enjoyed her chorizo tacos

I'm not a denver native, so i don't know the city at all. But this area didn't seem like a good area to be around, especially after dark. However, i was coming down into denver from WY from a roadtrip and wanted to get some mexican food. i ended up getting two burritos, one al pastor and the other barbacoa. Both were good, but on the smaller side. the burritos were on the greasy side, but the flavor of the meat were good. I also got two churros which were actually my favorite item. It has caramel inside and it was nice and crunchy. they have agua fresca and a lot of other items... tacos, tortas, sopes and quesadillas. They also have a nice selection of sauces and mexican style pickled veggies. As for the interior, there are a lot of seats, and a small bar in the back near the bathroom. The bathrooms smelled pretty bad, but were clean.

El Taco Veloz looks a bit rough on the outside but inside is so cute! It's beautiful decor and you know the owners take a lot of pride in their business.The Yelp feature on here that says "many vegetarian options" is inaccurate. They don't have any vegetarian options. I read other reviews before coming here and the beans are not vegetarian as they are cooked with bacon. I had to request a modification to the quesadilla to only include veggies and no meat. The gentleman at the counter told me they normally don't made modifications and won't be able to accommodate me again in the future (ouch).Aside from that, the food was so flavorful, reasonably priced, and delicious. You place your order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table. They have a whole selection of salsas for you to choose from too. The horchata was also some of the best that I've had! If you have any dietary resections you should probably skip this restaurant. Although if you don't, then it's somewhere I highly recommend.

I've only ever been here after midnight lol... but I will tell you one thing, consistently the best tacos and salsa bar I have ever found. I have never had a stomach ache after eating this, I have never felt like shit after eating this, I have never regretted eating here for any reason. I miss their 50th and federal location!
