El Taco Veloz

first time here and i loved it. bomb tacos. especially the chicharrones. chefs kiss. inexpensive and fast. they take cash and card. great customer service.

I was craving some breakfast tacos and searched Yelp. This place popped and and decided to give it a try. They had a special for their traditional breakfast tacos for $1. We ordered some traditional tacos and barbacoa tacos. The tacos are very tiny. The size of street tacos. For $1 the traditional tacos are worth the dollar, but the barbacoa tacos were not worth the ~$3 price. They Yelp hype didn't meet my expectation. It's a one and done visit.

Why 3 stars? Because I had high hopes, but came away pretty unimpressed. --- --- ---I often drive past this place on my way to play softball. As tempted as I am to stop by here before my games, I usually eat an early, healthy dinner pre-game so I'm not running around with a belly full of tacos. And I try not to avoid eating late. But in this case, I had spent the week traveling and my healthy-eating was all out of wack, so I decided to finally stop here post-game.The atmosphere was actually kind of lively with some upbeat, Spanish music playing. There were several families dining, despite the fact that it was around 10pm on a Thursday. And I was really impressed with how clean the tables were, as well as how many servers were attentively walking around.Unfortunately, the food left a bit to be desired. I ordered quesabirria tacos and a steak fajita taco. Both came out within a few minutes, but both were much more "lukewarm" than hot. And the quality was just okay. It was definitely low-end beef in the single taco and the quesabirria was fine, but not something I'd rush back to order again.I think it's cool that there's a place here for late-night eats, but I wouldn't go expecting anything memorable, beyond the fact that it's one of the only places open during those odd hours.

So, if its a hot summer day... or any day that my gf is hungry and looks at me in the car with those questioning eyes and fires off that ohh too familiar question, "what do you want for lunch", I know without a doubt a safe and excitable answer is "tacos?" She... we... love tacos and it's far past time that I left a review for Taco Veloz. Always being our number one choice, Taco Veloz never fails to deliver. First of all, a shout out needs to be given to the servers who stay out in the heat and humidity taking orders car-side and carting food to those of us nestled comfortably in our cars. They're the unsung heros of many a hot and hungry day. We thank you all. My usual is 2 Pastor tacos and 2 chicken tacos with hot salsa, and horchata. My gf speaks beautifully fluent Spanish and gets an order i still struggle to pronounce, but I'm learning. The tacos are always well made and never fail to hit the spot. Simple, well made, hits the spot, and doesn't break your wallet. Taco Veloz is a solid choice for lunch at any time, and now that I'm thinking about it, I'm going now for tacos. If you're in Conroe I highly encourage you to stop by.

Great food but definitely more of a pickup or Togo restaurant. They harassed us for bringing in our personal water bottles trying to promote their water bottle sales when it's almost $4 for a 16 oz bottle. We sat down and ate and enjoyed everything we got but next time we'll sit in our truck or bring it home.

Fantastic work by the team and great food - i wised that they would offer something earlier to drink but they smile and are happy - just great simple food!!This place is absolutely amazing. Saw it driving down the road and had to stop. We got the quesabirria and fajita taco salad and it was absolutely amazing. The customer service was amazing. I will definitely come here everytime I'm craving Birria! The staff even turned the outside fan towards us as we ate outside and we felt nice and cool on a summer day. I left there in the best mood!

We ordered the gordita with fajita--amazing. Crunchy outside, the masa was flavorful, and the beans were satisfying. 2 corn tacos- 1 fajita- kinda fatty, and 1 barbacoa- unappetizing. The flavor on the barbacao taco reminded me of fajita marinada in a Michoacana. When you buy the meat, and it's coated in that red "sauce"... yeah... not good at all. Last was the queso birria plate. The tacos were red on the same sauce like the barbacoa, and was not appetizing either. It has an overbearing flavor--- and it stains! Not fun.

I was never a huge fan of this taco truck, but it is convenient so | decided to stop by to grab some fajita nachos. I think they may have forgotten to put the fajita? But wheres the cheese? Thanks for the onions but maybe next time let customers know that the fajita nachos only come with 5 mini pieces of fajita

These people are crooks, they're racist, and they're not good people. The service was trash, no customer service , the tacos were cold, and the places smelled like a dead mouse. I also saw a roach go across the wall which made me lose my appetite. I would never go back EVER . I ate a bite of the taco and wanted a refund since they were cold and they didn't give it to me.
