EL TACO NATO

The taco truck was outside Cidercade and I decided to try after seeing how great everyone's food looked. Walked to the line and passed someone with nachos. They were so cheesy and topped with corn. Very tempting, but I went with the bistek street tacos. They were delicious! No fat on the meat and they were gracious with the cheese. Highly recommend.

Likes to no show on paying customers and then refuse to issue a refund on the deposit until the customer takes down their negative review.

el taco nato was at my apartment complex last week for dinner time so it was kind of a no brainer to try it. I ordered the street tacos for $11 and tried the beef chicken and al pastor. I asked for no onions and they kindly obliged and just put the fresh chopped cilantro. I loved the corn tortillas and the shredded cheese on top of the tacos. They all held together nicely. I have to say that the al pastor was by far my favorite! It was moist and flavorful with the little bit of sweetness. I didn't get a chance to try any of their salsas or toppings.

A definite hit! El Taco Nato was the food truck of choice at the Kirby Ice House on 21 July 2021. I chose their $12 combo plate - two Mexican sliders, and two street tacos with chicken (beef and pork also available), onions, cilantro, and queso fresco. Very fresh food, great taste, and an excellent sized portion for the price. The toasted bread buns for the sliders were as they should be - crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, the tacos, chicken, cilantro, onions, and side of cilantro dressing were also all exactly as they should be - fresh and flavorful. For $12 this is a definite win in the food truck space. Highly recommend!

Not a very good taco truck. The street tacos were just ok. I had the beef and the pastor. We have two stationary trucks within a mile of Woodwind Lakes. Both are much better. Don't leave thick stems of cilantro in my taco.My wife had the nachos. The guacamole was weird, kind of glutinous, like out of a bag, not fresh. The cheese was like the kind you get at a ballpark. By the time I got it home, maybe 4 minutes, the bottom chips were like soggy corn flakes.I was expecting something different for our neighborhood Wednesday food truck. The truck was rundown looking. The people were nice. Try to elevate your game.

They were booked in August for an event on October 29th. Deposit was made. Day of, no show, no reply no nothing. They would not reply to refund request until a Facebook post was made. Then they threaten that if the post wasn't taken down the deposit wouldn't be refunded.. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these scammers. They had the audacity to go to the Astros game instead of fulfilling the contractual agreement, then posted about it on their social media. Get your priorities straight.

(From July 2021)This taco truck was at Kirbys Ice House at the end of July. My date had the munchies so we saddled up here after guzzling some brews. She ordered the nachos and I had the shrimp taco. The taco was tasty and a decent size. Nachos were ok, chips got soggy quickly due to being smothered in queso. Nonetheless she scarfed them down and felt happy.I'd be open to trying other taco items such as the street tacos. They seem to be on Kirby's rotation so I know I can catch them again.

"Loaded nachos" had about five small pieces of meat on them, and were made with grocery store quality chips and high school football game quality queso. Would never spend my money at their truck again.

The quesadilla was satisfying and delicious; just what I needed after a long, cold shift at work. I'd absolutely recommend supporting El Taco Nato!
