Food definitely hit the spot. Local hidden Honduran gem located in the heart of South Philly. You know its good when you see a lot of locals. I ordered the fish with shrimp dish smothered with chipotle sauce and oh boy, it was sooo gooood. They also gave us a side of fresh home baked tortilla and it was definitely the best I had from a local Spanish spot in Philly.

Incredibly, delicious food. A true hidden south Philly gem. A must try!Their fish dishes are so fresh, so so so good. My go to favorite is any of the dishes with "con Camarones en Crema Chipotle". Delicate and light sauce with a really nice spice, it has a bit of heat that isn't too hot or overwhelming with perfectly cooked seafood. Chicken Pastelitos - huge crowd favorite. You get four puffy, fried pastelitos, with their lightly pickled red onions. Two pastelitos is enough for one meal, so enough to share or for leftovers. Montucas - the sweet corn Hondurian Tomale is so tasty it could be a dessert dish. Everyone devoured it. Guacamole - nice size portion, love the addition of the pickled red onions. Very fresh, a solid go to. Carne Asada Platillos Hondurenos - the meat is tender, and delicious. Great flavor. Comes with tender hand pressed tortillas. Enough for two. Mild spice. My dad doesn't like super spicy dishes - he ordered the Pechuga a la Mexicana and was thrilled. The sauce had tons of flavor with a mild spice that was perfect for him. Chicken was tender and again, the portions were enough for two. By far the crowd favorite was the Chicharron pupusas. The pupusas come with a yellow slaw and the most fantastic dipping sauce. Use your hands, tear off some pupusas, pack some slaw in the middle, dunk and enjoy. Highly Highly recommend!I know in my review I noted that several of these dishes are a mild spicy level, they send a collection of sauces with the order, that are perfect for upping the heat and flavor level even more. For myself and my wife, we love spicy food, and really enjoyed the sauces with our meal. I've ordered both on Grubhub, and in person. Both were incredible fast. Food arrived hot and fresh!

"Catrachos" are native Honduran, and this restaurant serves Mexican and Honduran food. I believe this is the only place in the city with Honduran food. The first thing we ordered was a chorizo and potato pambazo, pambazos are Mexican sandwiches where the bread is soaked in a red sauce. I had an awesome one at American Sardine Bar ages ago. While I liked the sandwich, especially the spicy meat and potato filling, but I think the bread soaking is a tricky art form and I wasn't completely sold. We were, however, totally blown away by the al pastor tlayoco. Tlacoyos are a street food I remembered from Mexico, they are masa patties that in addition to serving as vessels for proteins, are also stuffed with things like beans. We got them topped with al pastor ($7). Besides enjoying the tlacoyos themselves, we have to talk about the pork. This may be some of the best al pastor style pork in the city! So crispy, so much flavor. Oh, and the pupusas we took home were pretty good too.

I tried ordering food and I called and ask about delivery first to see if they came my way and they said is 30 min max and I'm 15 min away and they checked and they said yea I'm good and when I order all my food and I'm ready to pay I hear the delivery driver saying no that he'll be in traffic on his way back that he not doing it and the lady tells me their delivery driver said that is out of the way that he won't do it, it's really disappointing because they had me on hold several times to take my order correctly and to go through all that and get told they can't make the order is unprofessional of them.

Very good food. The prices were average and the portions were big. For two entrees and two horchatas, our bill came to about $32. Street parking is available but you mate need to circle the block a few times depending on the time of day. I went on a Friday evening and parked 1.5 blocks away.

Made my Honduran family happy. Large portions, good value. Traditional Honduran dishes prepared well. Service was a little bit slow and the dining area is very small and can get tight. Worth a visit if you enjoy Honduran food.
