El Rio Grande

We tried this as take out and absolutely loved it. Love the large portion size and they had it ready for us on-time! Everyone at the restaurant was friendly even for a pick-up order. The order was correct, we didn't know what to expect but we really enjoyed everything. The tacos were amazing, very filling and flavorful, they go great with the salsas they have available (with to-go containers!). The chicken chimichanga was super flavorful and full of filling.The green enchiladas with carne asada were tasty, not what I expected but really good and with a nice spice to them. Also, the wings were surprisingly good!!We are from Colorado, and craving good Mexican food. This was a winner.I only wish they had green chile, a girl can dream. I look forward to coming back.

Authentic Mexican cuisine for sure! Food was very delicious, and to my surprise I came at the best time for the $2 margaritas they were amazing!! The location is very laid back with great music. The waitress and bartender were fast and very kind. I'll be back for sure

We went on a Friday night, a friend of mine who is a foodie recommended this place. Location: it is located in a shopping plaza Parking: it's free and there's plenty Service: the service was simple, she took our order and brought it to us. I wasn't impressed with the service - I had to go to the bar to get my ticket and when I went up there nobody even looked in my eyes or asked what I needed. Food/drink : 3/10 my boyfriend enjoyed his food he had the Al pastor tacos. I had the steak tacos with beans and rice - it wasn't good to me. They did have a salsa bar which I liked. Will I be back? No. Didn't like the food and the service wasn't the best.

A pleasant little surprise, despite it's appearance. The restaurant seemed like it's had a fairly long and maybe hard lifespan and could use a bit of sprucing, but the service was prompt, the food was good and the portion was ample.My server disappeared after she brought out the food, but I hate a hovering waiter/waitress, so that actually isn't necessarily a "bad" thing.I lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico for a spell and have eaten PLEN-TY of Mexican food and this was the 1st Veggie Burrito that I've had that was constructed as such...Rice and beans (Of course!!) and REAL vegetables like broccoli and potatoes; Not just filler veggies - NICE!!I'd definitely make a return visit! =)

Good food, good price, and I like the salsa bar. Service could have been better but the food made up for it.

Food was delicious and price was very reasonable. And they made it quick . I recommend this place if you love Mexican food

You won't be impressed by the outside. You won't be impressed by the inside. You WILL be impressed by the food. So you always start with chips and salsa, but they take it up a notch here. They give you the normal chips and a salsa with some chunk of tomatoes, onions, cilantro and other seasoning that is clearly visible. It's clearly made in house here. I loved the flavor of all the ingredients; my only note is that it was a bit too watery to substantially stick to the chips. Small thing, but I did think about it on each chip I ate. If for any reason you want a different salsa than the one that is brought to the table.....THEY HAVE A SALSA BAR! I think that is really cool. Lots of different homemade salsas you can try. As if that wasn't enough, they also serve a Mexican rice and chicken soup to start. It was even better than the salsa. I got the carnitas for my entrée. Might be the best carnitas I have had. The pork was so incredibly tender and juicy on the inside and the outside was the perfect amount of crispiness. Sometimes I think places get too much crisp on the outside making it either burnt or at least dry and hard. Not here as it was absolutely perfectly browned and crisped. I will say don't be ordering these expecting a lean cut with fat trimmed off. They certainly left it on here, but if you are ok with that, it will really add a ton of flavor and juiciness to the dish. They serve it with rice, beans and a Mexican salad, and some tortillas as well. All of those were very good too and I especially liked that the tortillas were slightly charred on the grill before serving.If you don't need ambiance and just want some really excellent Mexican food, come here! It's the best place around.

We were driving on the interstate, and as is my habit, I use Yelp to help us find great local food. The community is obviously going through a revitalization and has great public spaces for kids. Some of the homeowners are struggling, but don't let that stop you from following the directions and going to this local gem. I absolutely LOVED the salsa; we travel the country and have had lots of different and delicious salsa. I could eat that stuff for soup. Just enough heat to enhance the fresh cilantro, tomato and onions. I also loved that they offer American and Mexican dressing for the tacos. Great street tacos, and my husband got his standard Taco salad. The bowl was actually fried to order. Such a great stop, I wish it was closer to home.
