The portions are very generous but that is probably the best thing I can say about this truck. We had a tlayuda with barbacoa; two tacos, one al pastor, one carnitas; and a chicken tamale verde. The meats were very bland and could have used salt or just about any seasoning. Except for the carnitas-they were salty and that's about it. The tamale was by far the better choice. The banana leaf wrapped scented the tamale and the chicken was nicely cooked. The salsa verde was a bit overbearing, though. The truck had a bilingual menu available, if necessary, and the staff speak English.

Amazing! Our company was kind enough to bring us this truck for a recent lunch and all of us were blown away by the quality, taste and quantity.Do know that as great as the tacos are (that I saw and heard about)...they also offer burritos and my personal recommendation...the chicken fajitas! (see pic)...oh so flavorful chicken with peppers and onions and their green hot sauce is phenomenal. I have passed by this truck on Capital Blvd many times and have now learned that passing it by is a mistake. STOP and enjoy!

Convenient location on Capital Blvd, we ordered a few tacos along with a tlayuda. Wait time was around 10 minutes, more or less exactly what we were told when placing the order. No seating available during our visit so we took back to the office to enjoy. The tlayuda was enormous and enough food to be enjoyed over at least two meals if not more. Tortillas are handmade and fantastic, some of the best I've had from the local taco spots. A lot going on in the tlayuda so it was a bit difficult to pick out and comment on the individual components. My dining partner enjoyed the tacos and we both look forward to a future visit to explore the menu further.

I wanted to try something different at a taco truck this time so I went for their torta. I got their torta especial and I'm so glad I went for it because it was insanely delicious! The meat was so tender and flavorful and packed onto the sandwich. It was huge! The avocado was creamy and delicious and their bread was really fluffy and tasty. They served it with two salsas and I really enjoyed dunking my sandwich into the green salsa which was just enough heat to give it a kick, but not so overwhelming. Great experience and I hope to try it again soon.

Food Truck Time: El Rey del Taco at Bombshell Beer CompanyOrder the tacos!! I was able to try the Al Pastor and Veggie tacos, they were both so fresh and delicious. Can't wait to try more, next time I'll do my research to see what food truck is at the brewery so I don't eat dinner before.

Great authentic taco place I would HIGHLY recommend you check out. They are typically at the gas station on S. Saunders street in Raleigh on the weekdays. It's my usual gas stop and I always see it and that particular day I was craving tacos so I decided to go check it out. The tacos were reasonably priced from $2.25 to $2.50 and I've gotten the chorizo, asada, and carnitas on their default corn tortilla. I never liked corn tortilla and always opted for flour but these were delicious. You could probably ask if they had flour tortillas I have never cared to. I also tried the torta for the first time and that was good too! Looks can be deceiving... the taco looked basic with just the meat, onions and cilantro (no frills) but man it was so flavorful and filling! I would recommend at least 2. I loved the grilled pepper and onion they put on the side, it's a nice kick and good for people who don't want those toppings. Their green and red hot sauce is also good. Trust me, these are the best quick stop tacos for the price in the Raleigh area!
