Drinks ice cold. Food another story how could you go wrong with Mexican food but it happens.

The food I ordered was pretty good actually, the service was better, the ambiance was ok.Let start with the food, I ordered the molcajete with spare ribs and fajitas, and substituted the nopal for a Chile relleno, it all came on a bed of onion with a large grilled jalapeño and topped with a delicious red salsa, accompanied with beans rice guac and salad, and they had an option to upgrade your drink from large to extra large off of the menu, all of this was good maybe even great, the short rib wasn't over cooked, and the fajita was juicy, combined with the Chile relleno and the homemade tortillas every bite tasted as good as the last, all in all I would definitely recommend to the people in that area and I'd say it tasted as good as other higher rated places, I can see why there isn't as much foot traffic (during the week) as there should be though as there isn't enough parking for all of the businesses and it is near a gas station which is what originally made me feel like not going in the first place, but I was pleasantly surprised and happy I decided to go.

Been here a few times for lunch. Place seems pretty authentic and they have good lunch specials. Parking can be hard to navigate during the day as this place is located on a weird location by a gas station. Service is good but the place feels kind of dirty inside.

The girl who took our order Thanks for being kind to me. I do not speak Spanish even though I look like I should but she stayed with a professional smile and took my order. Awhile back when I ate here once maybe 3-4 years ago I had a waitress with a bad attitude because I ordered in English. Keep up the great customer service. Food is different, good.

El Regio Mexican Grill & Bar is an authentic Mexican restaurant located in a shopping center with a gas station and several other businesses so parking won't be a problem. As you walk in, there's a large sit-down dining area. If you walk toward the back of the restaurant, there's a bar area with dim lighting to add to the ambiance. I've sat in both areas and I've liked the bar area more as it's more casual. The first time there, I ordered the sampler platter which comes with flautas, nachos, and quesadillas. While an app, it's enough to serve as a full meal. The second time, I ordered the barbacoa tacos which was a lot, and I mean, a lot of barbacoa. You can either order half a pound or a pound. The pound is a good deal so that's what I went with and it turned into three or four meals. El Regio has a solid cocktail list with your standard margaritas and some creative tropical cocktails. You can even get one of those margaritas with a corona in it. It comes in a huge mug so one of those will do some damage. The picture on the menu doesn't do it justice, it's huge! I highly recommend getting one. Overall, the food won't blow your socks off but I like the authenticity and the bar.

I come here at least three times a month. The street food section is my fav . They only have Talapia for fish , I wish they have red snapper as well. The margaritas are very good and a little cheaper the the Tex max chain restaurants. The service is always above average

The service was good, but I've had better Mexican food to be honest. I ordered the beef enchiladas and they were kinda dry. The rice and beans were great. The salsa was very watery.

I've tried this place twice and it's an easy quick stop. First time I had the chicken flautas and they weren't all that, maybe a 5/10. Second time I went in and had a sit down meal and it was a bit busy but not crazy. Had to wait more to put in my drink, wait for the server to take my food order and that took longer than how long it took me to eat. I had the 5 mini tacos and were okay. Needed a bit more flavor and salt.

I tried this place for the first time and I'm mad I hadn't tried it sooner. Tasty, fresh and seasoned well. I'll definitely be a regular.

It might not be fancy, but the food here is solid. Personally I love the tampiquena. Better than Lupes by a mile.
