My son was accosted by a middle aged white woman at this restaurant. While sitting at the bar attempting to read and have a dinner, this woman starts yelling and accusing him of not talking to her or purchasing her food and drink. He explained that he was studying, to no avail. He was taken aback a bit. Initially, he thought maybe she was joking, but no! She went as far as calling him a 'nigger' in a very threatening manner. If that were not troubling enough, the staff at the restaurant witnessed the entire scene. They said nothing! It was business as usual. He called for a manager. They apologized, but this rude woman was not asked to leave. So, he left out of disgust. Please think twice about patronizing this establishment. It is potentially unsafe! By ignoring this poor behavior, they are condoning it. The funny thing is he's a regular customer at this restaurant, they all even know him by name. However, he will not be returning, and neither will my family or friends.

Do not order the Shrimp enchiladas! Nothing more than tiny shrimp rolled in a tortilla. No sauce, no cheese. I brought mine home and doctored them up since it was a $17 meal.

I used to come here with my family when the place was smaller. As my kids have grown and we all have moved in different directions. My dad always asks where do you want to eat. I always pick this place. Here are some pics from our last meal. Everything was tasty. This place has expanded. So clean, family owned, and vibrant decor.

Well first of all the food here is Tex mex, the tortillas are store bought and the food is very bland. I didn't even finish my food so instead I went to coulvers instead. Stay away from this restaurant there is better ones in the area

Had lunch at El Ranchero tex mex restaurant. Very good. Highly recommend. Staff very nice and very good. Food very good. Had a very nice dining experience. I ordered fajita nachos. Very good but the cheese was not to my liking. My husband liked my dish. I'd just had different cheese at other tex mex restaurants. I plan to order another dish next time. I hope I found a tex mex restaurant to frequent. The fajita meat was delicious. Husband had a combination plate. Taco, enchilada, beans, rice. Can't go wrong. Restaurant pleasant, appealing decor. Give them a try.

There are some negative reviews, but they do not reflect our experience. Yes, the food is Tex Mex (I'm not sure what some people were expecting.) but it is well done and served hot. We eat here fairly often, and they get the basics right. The service is generally fast and responsive, albeit without a lot of chit-chat. And the prices are very reasonable, particularly if you catch the margaritas at Happy Hour. A good neighborhood option.

20 years they have been open and that's how long we have been going. It's a Friday night tradition. Budget friendly, kid friendly and I love their food. Salsa is good. Charros are good. Enchiladas are good (gravy sauce!!). Pico is the best I have ever had!! Rice is good too. My 2 favs are the Friday special and Pollo con Mole (sub verde for mole). Mmmm
