El Quetzal Bakery & Restaurant

Very disappointing personally. I always leave gratuity but I never noticed they include gratuity already. Who knows if it actually goes to the employees. I'm iffy about restaurants that do this. Regardless I'll keep coming because the bread is good.

Great place, authentic Guatemalan food. Very nice, clean, and plenty of COVID 19 precautions.

El quetzal is unmatched when it comes to latin breads! My family has been buying from these guys for so long. Growing up there was always quetzal bread on our table. I have sent so many people to el quetzal over the years nd they have all been satisfiedKeep up the great work guys!

El Quetzal was a great stop for a nice Colombian meal. The staff was super friendly and practiced full COVID protection. The empanadas were uniquely Colombian, small but perfectly crispy cornmeal batter. The sancocho de coda was creamy tasty and delicious. The Colombian platter was an assortment of meats rice beans plantains and topped with a fried egg. Get an iced coffee and don't forget the bakery !!!!!

Amazing food and hospitality. But the bakery... goodness-fresh baked goods everyday. Melt in your mouth all around deliciousness. If you haven't tried this gem of authenticity your missing out on authentic Guatemalan food and baked goods!

This is an amazing restaurant, it is incredibly spacious and food was really good. I'm of Guatemalan decent so I really wanted to find a place to eat so I don't have to constantly cook food that I grew up with. I got the garnachas and they were freshly made, tortilla was incredibly crispy and there was a lot of flavor in the cabbage that was on top. And the sauce that came with it wasn't overpoweringly spicy. Watermelon juice also tasted freshly made. The staff there are very friendly, they helped us out with the menu. Place is clean and spacious. Best part of everything is the menu is incredibly cheap. Most things are under 10 dollars which is hard to find when the meals taste that homemade. I will definitely return to try the rest of the menu!

This place had been on my radar and I got to visit today for a quick bite. I stepped in and realized it's more of a brunch spot than a bakery. I had my food to go, but the restaurant has a super cute, sunlit atmosphere. One day I'd love to dine in. I enjoy going to restaurants where I see items I don't know. I tried the following:- Rellenito: pan-fried sweet plantain ball with black beans inside as a dessert: 5/5- Chipilin: chipilin bean leaves in masa - vegetarian and very light: 4/5 - Chuchito con todo (with everything): masa dough with meat inside and topped with what looks like orange tomato sauce and queso fresco: 5/5The chuchito con todo and the rellenito were clear winners for me but the other one was delicious as well. One day I'd love to return to explore other items.

I had previously visited another place for my cakes for special occasions and sadly was let down on my last event. I decided to try out this place a friend of mine recommended and I am so happy I did! I came in with a few ideas-/pictures but was not sure on what design to do. After talking to the lady, she showed me a picture for a suggestion for the cake and we changed it up a little so easily. I also made a last minute change of color of cake through the phone and they did not mind it at all. I was so happy with the final result and definitely will be coming back for events. Great people, service, and everything!

1st time trying Guatemalan food and it was good , the aqua's frescas are really good , employees are nice , and restaurant is very clean .It won't disappoint.
