It's worth a drive for me. I can spend about $25 and stock up my fridge as my personal ice cream truck. You can't beat the prices (individual pops or for a dozen) love the variety of flavors. Definitely best place to get ice cream for summer and avoid those high ice cream truck prices.

If you're in the area and need to pee, bae, then stop by El Pibe. They don't have a bathroom, but at least you'll be able to slurp one of the most delicious paletas (Mexican popsicles/ice lollies) imaginable while all that golden nectar is running down the insides of your embarrassed thighs.What to get: Try all the flavours. They're dirt cheap but they taste far, far better than dirt.What else: It's a f***ing crime that only 1 other person has reviewed the most popular Paleteria in the Barrio of Houston. It just shows that Yelp is *extremely* skewed towards some demographics and away from others. Not at all representative of the entire population, percentage wise. Maybe someday that can change. Comprender?El Pibe has Perfect paletas. Probably the best I've ever tasted. The milky horchata ones are great too. The prices are insanely good. I'm so shocked and dismayed that it's not more popular, especially given that it is so close-ish to the expanding hipsters of The Heights (they're like the plague you know. Soon there will be no Barrio). People will go pay $4 for a popsicle at Steel City Pops... well these are under $1 each and are literally 438,453,267 times better. On a bad day.Wake up Hipsters. Go to El Pibe. K. Thx. Buy.Everything is ridiculously cheap and we're talking about some of the best Paletas as you will ever get anywhere. Not to mention the amazing variety. They probably have 30 or 40 different flavors on hand and they make all of them right on site... in fact you can see them manufacturing them through the window.Barbie: "EP is like having your favorite paletero in store form! Their paletas are so delicious and so cheap, it's insane! WTF go there right now and buy some paletas!
