Summary- Venezuelan food trailer in mediocre spot serves great food.Food- 5 StarsGiant sloppy and wonderful pork Patacón was a full out mess of deliciousness smushed in between two giant fried plantains. So awesome. Atmosphere- 2 StarsRight in the Exxon lot on the corner of spring cypress and 290 feeder isn't the nicest location. They have a few tables and a small patch of grass. Value- 4 StarsNot super cheap but lots for the money

Excellent service! Authentic flavor and meals are plenty to share or go hungry! Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a Delicious Venezuelan meal!

Edit: the food was amazing, well worth the wait. The closest thing you'll get to an authentic patacon. Keep in mind they work on Venezuelan time so their opening times are "flexible". I'm deducting a star for a long wait for them to open, way past their opening time.

This was my first experience with Venezuelan food and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The food was delicious and the owner was very warm and inviting. I had the Patacón with sweet and savory plantains and shredded beef. Very crispy, delicious and full of flavor. Highly recommended if you are in the area and looking for a good bite. Their busiest times are on Thursdays and Fridays in the PM.

This place is heavenly!!! I am so glad that finally I found a place this good close to home.Everything I tried so far is so delicious and I am planning on trying everything! I am Colombian so the food tastes like home made (we are neighbors) but my husband is from here and he also loves the food. Since now on this will be my favorite spot.

Great place! Food was very good and the price very fair I would definitely come back, I had a pork Patacón and a meat arepa and they were both so good!!!

This place was absolutely amazing!It's located in the gas station close to the Kroger plaza. We ordered two empanadas (beef and chicken) two tacos (beef and chicken) and a shredded beef patacón. We ordered everything "as is" with all the toppings and it was all amazing!Our two little kids loved it too, there was no food left at the end of the night!

El Patacon, a Venezuelan food truck in Cypress nonetheless. There's not too many of these around in Houston and I'm so happy I found this place. What I got: Shredded beef patacon (fried smashed plantain bun sandwich) with cabbage, tomato, fresh homemade queso de mano (mozzarella like), a delicious mayo/coleslaw like traditional sauce, and grated cheese. (my tasting rating - 10/10) I paid $9.73. Cleanliness: 10/10. Non greasy to go box. Was given plastic to go utensils. Paper is self serve outside. Picnic table provided next to the truck, was clean from what I saw.Advertisement: 10/10. Great photos and picture of the menu online. Simple but well functioning menu design. There was one cook working when I came at around 12pm on a Tuesday so I didn't get my food immediately, but I didn't have to wait too long. There was two other people who came before me. Very friendly and good customer service provided from the chef that was there, he let us sample the fresh queso de mano. Customer service: 10/10. Location is in the driveway of a gas station at the intersection of spring cypress and 290w. I'm the same plaza as Kroger, cinemark. I live in Cypress about 15-20 minutes away from it so I'm glad it's close to home!I ordered it to go and ate it 30-45 minutes later. It was still warm and everything was still fresh and flavorful. The shredded beef was moist and flavorful. The sandwich had a lot of sauce and it was absolutely delicious. The fried plantain bun was so sweet and good and the edges were crispy. The mozzarella was definitely fresh and I got a chance to try a piece before I got my food. The veggies were all fresh. I couldn't really ask for more. Overall I loved this place and I most definitely will be back, see you soon! I think I've developed a new love for Venezuelan food.

I think this place is under new ownership. I went there and the service was great. I went there for the first time last Friday but the ripe plantain patacón with pork was so amazingly delicious that I had to go back for more today as I could not stop craving it. It was just as great as the first time!!! I thought the prices were reasonable and the amount of food was more than enough for one person. I can eat a patacón and feel completely stuffed 3/4 of the way in. I will be coming back for more and highly recommend you give them a try if you like latin food. You won't regret it!

I was about to settle on Buffalo Wild Wings for a quick bite before a movie when I came across this truck. Thank god! It was better than I could imagine. Delicious shredded chicken Patacón was filling and scrumptious. Definitely will be back soon.
