El Loteria

I found this place online. Seems to be a place few know about as nobody has come in after me and now Im done eating and ready to go. I ordered the enchilada mexicana plate for $12.99. Photo posted. Comes with a large but thin fried piece of meat. Plenty of strong spice/chili. The cook asked what salsa in the squeeze bottles but these did not need any additional heat like many do. You order at the counter, get the little receipt and go pay the lady at the register. Parking right out front. This place is right off 85 south side on Shallowford. Sort of busy traffic there . I think the quality of what I just had definitely above average. Does not come with beans and or rice but you do get the meat!

It's been years since I wrote a Yelp review, but I came back because I NEEDED to rave about this place. This will be one of the best, if not the best, taqueria you will find in greater Atlanta. [FOOD]Barbacoa taco -- $3.29After you have their barbacoa, you will wonder why no where else in the area sells barbacoa like this. It is so tender, flavorful and not at all greasy/heavy though you would think it would be. Tacos are super stuffed with barbacoa, it is worth the $3.29. Carnitas taco -- $3.29You can see the large chunks of pork breaking apart with just your fingers, it's that tender. They do not skimp on your taco fillings, especially when it comes to meat. Taquitos -- $11.996 perfectly rolled and deep fried chicken taquitos with rich crema and cotija cheese generously drizzled on top. It comes on a bed of more cotija cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado and limes. These are so addicting. Enchilada verde -- $12.99Be warned -- this is VERY spicy! I'm not good with handling spice like my husband and he loved it. I had a bite, and it was worth the sweat but definitely very spicy. Portion size is generous, 4 enchiladas per order smothered in verde sauce. [SERVICE & LOCATION]This taqueria (which I think is actually called "cuernavaca") is located inside a small Mexican convenience store called "El Loteria". The parking spaces are a bit tight, and there's more room at the adjacent Shell gas station. Language is mostly Spanish and very little English. I ordered and checked out in English. You order food at the taqueria counter in the back -- walk straight ahead when you walk in and then to your left. Once you receive your items, you will get a receipt (prior to payment) to take to the convenience store cashier to pay your bill. There are counters and tables to eat right there at the store, but we took ours to go.

Delicious authentic tacos in a small cafe at the back of this Mexican grocery store. Yummy!! We'll be back.

I waited over 30 minutes for 3 tortes and live 3 minutes away why were they cold when I opened each one up . I payed $14 for a torta and some French fries. They gave me little to no fries . I wouldn't eat there again if I was starving.

This little bodega (with super tight parking) has convenience items and an incredible kitchen in the back. Their cabesa was my favorite. No habla ingles
