Wow, this place beyond exceeded my expectations. AMAZING quality food, amazing taste, and highly seasoned. The atmosphere is so fun and beautiful, I can't recommend it enough. I am typing this as I finish eating and am stuffed, but it was sooo tasty that I want to eat the whole meal again. We tried the skinny margarita and the cucumber jalapeño margarita, both were great. The service was incredible too. I just highly recommend this place!! We will for sure be coming back. I saw they also do table-side guacamole. The hot red sauce served with the street tacos is amazing! The quality of the food is so much better than any other close by options. If you want authentic food then this is the place to go.

Honestly, I do not understand the haters giving El Jimador low, low ratings. This place is wonderful!!And full disclosure: I am a Mexican food SNOB!! I was born and raised in Southern California, so you can bet I know great Mexican food!Now, was El Jimador the best I've ever eaten? No! But their food is very solid and there is plenty on the menu for people who don't want queso on everything. Their main salsa is admittedly super mild, but our server brought me two spicy salsas, one red one green, that were serviceably spicy. I had Huevos Rancheros and my wife had the Enchiladas Deluxe. We both enjoyed our food and left stuffed. When the bill came, we were both very surprised at how reasonable the meal cost too, so big plus there!The service was friendly, fast, and attentive. Everyone we came in contact with was absolutely wonderful!!And the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful!! Thoughtfully designed and artistically executed, they clearly thought of every detail!! The booths and tables are custom hand-carved with figures of tequila harvesting and rural Mexican life. There is fresh, vibrant art everywhere and custom stonework everywhere you look. And their bar!!! It's a thoughtful and beautiful center-piece to the room!We were there for an early lunch and it was already getting busy. But we never felt rushed or neglected. I imagine the place gets mobbed for Friday and Saturday dinner service. But as opposed to being crowded, I get the impression this is one of those places that just gets more and more fun!!I'm happy to find a place that serves solid food, it's inviting and welcoming, and is both modern with a deeply cultural feel. We look forward to coming back for dinner and margaritas!! So happy to have a wonderful new place in the neighborhood!!

What seemed like the black sheep of Knightdale, this failed location has finally gotten a total makeover into a real Mexican restaurant, its vibrant and as authentic as your going to get in this town. The usual LARGE and bustling multi page Mexican restaurant menu offers the rich and diverse nature of Mexican cuisine, but if your considering a margarita, be warned of the Margarita Chalice! This grandiose glass is not just a vessel; it's a fiesta on a stem! Big enough to quench the thirst of a mariachi band! So being one of 5 Mexican restaurants within such a close proximity of each other, it is clearly the best option for Mexican food and thankfully it's NOT another chain restaurant in "Franchiseville." Good service and fresh food, this restaurant has a bright future. Cheers!

The service was fast and friendly. The building was uncomfortably hot, maybe the air wasn't working, not sure. I liked the food. I ordered the wings for an app and they were good and spicy. My daughter ordered the tacos, she likes them, but the ordered was larger than she could finish. Bonus points for her having lunch the next day. I ordered the Texcano that I shared with my husband. It was delicious and the order was more than the both of us could finish. It came out with little cheese sauce but they were nice enough to bring a side of cheese. I enjoyed my large drink. The drinks were pricey but okay. I paid $17 for the large semi-frozen drink. I will try the place again.

Our server, Antonio, was very friendly and helpful. This beautiful new restaurant has been under remodeling for months, and we all have been waiting for it to open. The property is immaculate, and the interior is full of hand crafted stone and marble. There is plenty of seating. Antonio suggested the fajitas for my folks to share, and I tried the steak enchiladas. The food was very flavorful. All of the staff were friendly. I hope this new business thrives. Give it a try, but be patient with them as they work out perfecting their service in a new building.

Went to this place for the first time and it truly was amazing food! Great taste, the severs are excellent in their communication and presentation. Food comes out fast and fresh, and the Baja fajitas I ordered was delicious. Only thing I would say hence why I gave it 4 stars is there was not enough meat in my fajitas, it was a lot more veggies and I've gotten some opinions from family and friends and they've said the same thing. Other than that, the fajitas were still the BEST! Even if I only bit into veggies, they were soft and cooked to perfection coated generously in the amazing flavor.

Saw this restaurant while driving along the road and decided to stop just based on the outside. The inside is even better, and the food is top notch! I will definitely be returning with any family visiting from out of town.

I was a bit apprehensive about this place since it has quite a few one star reviews but to my surprise, it was fantastic! First of all, the atmosphere is just fantastic. It is larger than it looks from outside and second, the server was very attentive. You could tell the server struggled with English but he was so nice and made sure my little one was happy. The food is also reasonable price and great. I would definitely come back again for the margaritas!
