El Jalapeño

If the hubs says, "let's get tacos" El jalapeño is where we are going. The meats are delicious and prices are great. I love the quesadillas and tacos de tripa. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Pro-tip: call before you order or you will be waiting a while for your food.

Im updating my review because something seems to have changed with the customer service the last few times we've been here. Today we called in a order and she put us on hold which we understand it's a weekend and it's very busy so that's not the issue. So when the women asks us what we would like to order we were rushed the whole time and we added one more thing and she told us what else do we want she doesn't have the time to be on the phone taking orders that's she's too busy!! The whole entire conversation she was very rude.It's unfortunate we love this place but there's tons of other taco trucks in the area we can try but we will never go here again. You would think this place would treat there paying customers a little better.

The tripa tacos are the bomb! Totally recommend. The bistec tacos are awesome too! Great food and fast service

I have been eating here as a kid, they're so consistent! Left Houston in elementary and came back and everything tasted the same and brought back a lot of memories. Hot sauce is hot as always

Food truck on Edgebrook across from Tino's Tailor shop.A crowd around at noon, but line moved quickly and food served within 4 minutes.Ordered the Quesadilla Grande el Pastor.All by itself...wonderful, but with the green sauce and onions...amazing!

Tacos are really good, but man oh man... The customer service from the ladies answering the phone is horrible. Very unprofessional. They'll pickup the phone without saying anything and they'll have you hold for a few minutes without them letting you know that you were actually put on hold. (They're hoping for us to hang up). They take your order on the phone like you're annoying them for calling. (Instead of appreciating our business). They end the call by asking the name that the order will be under and once you give them the name they hangup. You get no estimated time in which your order will be ready, no total amount for your order nor a simple goodbye. RUDE!! If someone doesn't like they're job making us delicious tacos, then they should give it up. They should move on to flip a burger or fry some chicken nuggets for a change. Maybe they'll enjoy that job a little better. I blame El Jalapeños poor management for allowing their employees to treat us customers that way. NONE of the other taco trucks have ever been rude, EVER. All we want is some darn tacos and not someones bad attitude.

Full disclaimer I have never been to this place during the day or even at a reasonable hour. Don't judge. El Jalapeño is my place for late night eats. Bring cash, expect a wait after 2. Come before the bar crowd between midnight and 1:30 and boom you have the freshest best late night tacos. I only ever get the bistek street tacos but I had a gordita once, I was blown away. Don't come here expecting a classy crowd or good parking. You should strategically park for a quick get away because I have gotten stuck here and forced to gorge on my tacos in public... the outrage

Pull up an order or call it in. They are always quick with it. Pretty good prices compared to others around. The food items come with a good portion of meat that don't let you down. Parking can be kind of funny sometimes but all else fells park on the outer edges. Usually it's pretty chill unless you catch the after club crowds then it can get kind of loud. They even hook it up with I believe every $5-$10 a order you get frijoles charros (bean soup). Check it out sometime but be aware of your surroundings lol

DISGUSTING not only the drink they expected me to drink but also the lady taking orders attitude when politely asked in Spanish if she could switch my Rusty Moldy drink for a new one. The Mold was exposed once opened. At first she refused to change my beverage for one that I could actually drink. I continued to ask for a different drink and was told no, unless I paid for another one. Until, I started showing the person in line behind me what I was served. The man agreed and said it was gross and that it must be old. After being persistent about how wrong they are for serving something that could possibly make a customer sick. The lady finally asked a man next to her and hesitantly replacing my apple soda... customer service is a zero from me. ESPAÑOL:ASQUEROSO no solamente la bebida que me sirvieron pero también la actitud de la vieja que toma las órdenes. Le pregunté en español si por favor me podrías cambiar y me dijo que sólo si compro otro refresco. Le insistí que era mal lo que estaba haciendo y finalmente me dio otra bebida. Pero fue todo un lio. El servicio merece cero estrellas.

Y'all do not come here if you used to love this spot they just gave me a uncooked hotdog and expired friedbeans they just put a lot of toppings in it so I wouldn't see the uncooked I bit down and I seen the pink 0/0
