This is the best mexican food in the area. my fiancé and I have been living in this area for about a year now we've tried a lot of different Mexican restaurants considering there's a lot in the area- But this one hands down has the best quality and service around. People who complain about the price don't appreciate the quality of food. The meats and the preparation is high quality, well seasoned, and the drinks are strong for the price. 10/10 we've been 4-5 times and it's always good.

My husband and I stopped for lunch after Church on 9/17/2023. Finally a cool enough morning to be able to sit outside. The food was good, a little pricey. Our son's wanted us to bring them home lunch. When we got the check - there is a charge for $1.80 package fee. What the heck. We eat out several times a month. We like the food, but unfortunately we will not be returning. I feel like the prices are high enough to cover packaging a take out order.

We have been coming here for years but sad to say this place is on a downward slide. The food is now very inconsistent and the value is very poor. The food quality is a shadow of what it was and not for the better. Many new faces and there seems to be missing that more friendly atmosphere. Staff apathetic when dirty glasses silverware and dishes are served. We will be going down the street.

Location, Decor, Ambiance: 5/5Food & Drink: 5/5Service: 5/5Pricing: $-$$Location, Decor, Ambiance: There's bar seating and table/booth seating and there's always open seating when I'm there so I never have to wait for a table. It's a great place to go for larger parties as well and the parking lot is pretty big. Food & Drink: I love getting their beef OR chicken/beef fajitas and it's SUPER filling and full of flavor! The chicken isn't dry and the beef isn't over cooked. I never leave here hungry. I also tried their fish tacos which weren't bad but still not as good as the fish tacos you find in California! They also have flan which is absolutely delicious but I often find myself too full to have room for it at the end.Service: Every time I come here, the service is great, they're always super nice and efficient.Pricing: I find it pretty reasonable especially given how big the portions are.Would Return? YesP.S. They also do catering! We ordered chicken and beef fajitas for our engagement party and picked it up and everyone loved it! They gave plenty of chips and salsa, beans, guac, sour cream, etc.

We loved EC, it was one of our favorite weekly stops. Unfortunately, it has priced itself out of a reasonable budget compared to its peers in the area. What used to be $35 stop is now $60. The food is good, and the service is great, but it's just too overpriced.

As two people who could live on nothing but fajitas and margaritas, my wife and I always love trying new Tex-mex restaurants around town.We visited El Chapparro on a Friday night, and were seated right away. The interior is nicely done in a generic "neighborhood" restaurant kinda way, and seems like a good place for families and large groups. We sat inside but they also have a covered outdoor dining area that looks comfortable,Their giant skinny margaritas were delicious (but at 15.99 per, a bit pricey). House tortilla chips and salsas were some of the better ones we've had, and our dinners were above average in quality.I had the Tampico dinner - a small cut of fajita beef with typical sides and a cheese enchilada. My steak was a little overdone for my liking but was seasoned well and wast dry. My wife had a combo Poblano fajitas dinner that was among the better fajitas she's had. Bottom line - it's a decent place to get really good food, drink, and service. Maybe I'm being scroogie by giving only three stars, but this is Houston - there are hundreds of similar restaurants and food trucks, and many that I'd give 4 or 5 stars.

I would recommend going here. It's our second choice for my family. Food is good and service is on point. They never let your drink go below half. Lighting is normal.

We have been coming here for years. Our go to. Having said that. New owners. Margarita not actually frozen. . Food brought almost too fast. Felt rushed. Hadn't finished eating. Ticket put on table. Not would you like anything else. Another margarita? Everyone rushing everywhere. People. Slow down. Make us feel welcome. Fix the usually wonderful margaritas!! Be more friendly. The food is still very good!!
