El Carbonero Restaurant

We popped in here looking for a quick breakfast and we were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious, the coffee was perfect and the service was outstanding! We will definitely be back!

My family and I love this place, we come here often and always have a good time :) I order the pechuga a la plancha and pupusas every time. I see a lot of negative reviews, but they all seem a few years old. The place is clean, and the waitresses are always welcoming. They also sell yummy pan de quesadilla and pan de elote.

I love this place.I've been a few times now and the food is delicious. My only gripe with the food was that the Fajitas for 2 do not come with two plates of beans and rice, which I thought was the whole point of fajitas for 2. Their pupusas are some of the best restaurant pupusas you'll get. The rice ones were a bit hard and not how they should be, so I wouldn't recommend getting them.Their tamales were delicious and had a surprising amount of chicken in them.My server was attentive and helpful, I have nothing against them on that. Overall a good, cheap, and authentic eating experience.

This place is horrible. As soon as we walked in we noticed how dirty the floors were. Nevertheless, we opted to try it as we heard the pupusas were great. We ordered, and over 30 minutes later we received our food. We ordered a cheese pupusa for my daughter that tasted like paper. The salad that comes with the pupusas tasted old. My mother in law asked if it was old and the manager came out and told us he had just tried it and it was fine. He then proceeded to take a handful of the salad from her plate and taste it in front of us saying "it tastes fine." Before I stopped eating, (again, manager just took a handful of salad off of her plate with his fingers and ate in front of us). The chicharron and cheese pupusa was ok, the bean and cheese pupusa tasted like cleaning solution. The fried tamale was harder than cardboard and had no flavor. I told my wife to stop feeding my daughter the food. $50 dollars later we were out of there. Had the manager been nice, I would have ranked this 2 stars, but treating customers like that is absolutely unacceptable. Will not be coming back and certainly will warn others.

I always place to go orders. They are very fast and careful with food. No big deal with customer service. The price is fair compare to other restaurants nearby. The place is kind of small and parking is limited.

Love the pupusas and great pricing. Great place for a family breakfast and they stay open until 9pm! Nice bakery next door as well!

Gave my grandpa the wrong food, we were charged $102 and lady who attended us didn't know what she was doing plus the owner had a very bad attitude. DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL

Servicio muy grocero, y lo peor es que la comida que sirven está podrida y no vergüenza les da. Cómo van a servir un aguacate negro? Mejor digan que no hay. No es la primera vez que la comida nos sale mala, pero si la última. Ya no planeamos en regresar. Las pupusas son pasables pero comida, la verdad es que hay mejor comida en otros lugares.

The service is absolutely horrible. Waited 20 minutes for drinks . The waitresses all have attitudes and i would rather go to a different salvadorian restaurant than this one even if it's more expensive.

Compre un caldo de gallina la sopa no tenía sabor pura agua, y el arroz estaba helado y se sentía que ya se estaba arruinando mal servicio este día , fue en el nuevo carbonero sobre el FM 1960
