El Capitan Seafood & Mexican Grill

It's great atmosphere for small crowds but dumb af for large crowds. They'll act like they'll accommodate you and split tabs but will still combine them regardless.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon because my mom wanted some Mexican seafood. We were the only 2 people there. Based on the interior this place is supposed to be like a party spot. It has a stage for live music and they steady have music blasting on the speakers. I think during lunch time or when there aren't any customers they should lower theusic just a bit so people can converse wothout having to yell at each other. The menu is extensive, which can be overwhelming. We ordered the filete a la marinera which is a spicy fish filet with shrimps, octopus with a side of rice and salad. It was actually good. I ordered the Filete relleno. It was also good but I do have to say both dishes had huge portions. Each plate was about $23. My humble opinion is to make the dishes a bit smaller and lower the price as well. The filete relleno had good flavor. It had a fish filet covered in a creamy sauce with shrimp and a seafood mix. It cam with a salad, seafood rice, fries and toast. Each these components was good but the fries didn't even fit on the plate. They were placed on top of everything else. Maybe offer either rice or fries would solve this issue. This would be a great place to have a happy hour get together. The drink options look amazing I wish I could have have tried some of them. Although I don't think the drink menu had prices. So be careful before you start ordering these cool looking and elaborate drinks. Make sure you ask for prices.

Had a great time here great place to grab some food and drinks and hangout with friends and family. On the weekends they have a live banda which was pretty cool and really sets the mood. The waitress was great she was very attentive and would check on us constantly.

Great food! A lot of variety. Show included if you're lucky. Complimentary parking. ¡Delicioso!

Came across this place while driving down Richmond so decided to come back and try it. They've only been open for 2 months. Came in on a Sunday and there wasn't a lot of people. Lots of seating area and a good sized bar area. They mentioned they have Banda Fri-Sun and DJ on Thursday. It was extremely loud while the Banda was playing but can't really ask the restaurant to do anything about it ha. Our bartender was very friendly and attentive.We got the "Capitan Roll" and it came with 12 pieces, it was pretty good. Also got a coctel and that had good flavor as well. Their michelada is also good. Lots of drink and food options. Hopefully the good service and good food remains consistent considering it is fairly new.

Service is great ,ambiance calm nothing to loud there wasn't many people. Food the menu is huge lots to choose from if you're into trying new food check this place out a little of everything. Great selection of food to much to talk about but worth a try . Pictures have been attached

Great atmosphere. Food was not only delicious but a beautiful sight for your eyes. Flavors were wonderful without extreme heat, which you can have if you want. We were given time to look over the amazing menu and pick out what appealed to us. It was my birthday which was mentioned to our server.. The entire crew of servers came over with light sabers, a sign and sang happy birthday to me. This is one birthday I will not forget. The margaritas are absolutely delicious.

For a quick fix on your seafood needs go here the food is good the food is plentiful you will have leftovers my personal opinions try the fish soup you might not think it's good it's the bomb everything else is good too
