This place is a Houston staple. Yes, it's in a gas station. Yes, it's a dive. YES, it's the best gyros in town. Enough said!

I asked my Greek friend what the best Greek restaurant in town was and he said it was Ekko's hands down. So I came and ordered a few different items to sample the menu and everything was soooo delicious! Easily the best Greek food I'd ever had. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

If you're looking for a place that serves authentic gyros, this is the place to go. I've been to Ekko's Greek American Deli multiple times. My go to is the gyro plate which comes with a side of fries and salad. Most times I substitute the fries for extra salad. Portion sizes are great for the price!

Food was greasy, and the salad was not fresh. Might be good for a quick bite for lunch if you work in the area, but I wouldn't drive back out here for a meal 15 mins away from home.

Good food at fair prices. Complete gyro sandwich meal with a drink and fries was about $10. You'd be hard-pressed to find that anywhere else in town. This place seems to be frequent led by rideshare drivers and neighborhood insiders who know a good deal.Service was fast and friendly. Salad was fresh and gyro was on-point, as were the fries. Meal was eaten inside. As for ambiance, yes, it's inside of a gas station, but that's part of the charm.

Well, I was craving some moussaka, so I came across Ekko's from Yelp. I ordered the moussaka and gyro sandwich. I ate the gyro one day and saved moussaka for the next day. What can I say about the gyro. Although not completely terrible, it really did not have much flavor. Even the tziki sauce was not flavorful...it did not have that refreshing cucumber taste. I have had many gyros over the years, but this was not to my liking. The moussaka was simply terrible-- it also had very little flavor. The bechamel layer had a weird texture...I will definitely not return. I should have known nothing too great could come from a restaurant in a gas station; but I decided to try due to positive reviews. I would next time go back to Anonymous Cafe for moussaka.

Just one month short of exactly 4 years ago when I wrote a review for this establishment. Still very consistent, except for the fact that they no longer sell those nice, thick, starchy steak fries which would've been great with my sandwich. I picked up a Gyros Sandwich with extra tomato and taziki sauce on the side this afternoon. It was awesome, well-seasoned, juicy, tender and very delicious with a great, fresh, slightly toasty pita and fresh veggies. The taziki sauce was very good, thick, homemade and cool. Most places make a bad and runny taziki sauce giving away a very flawed gyros in addition. Not here. Ekko's and Niko Niko's are the only Greek spots for excellent gyros down here imo, otherwise, go to NYC for excellence in this category. Every single other gyros I have had in TX has been terrible, whether they lack seasoning, too crispy, too soft like lunchmeat and lacking flavor simultaneously, etc. YY Mary's was great, but gone since 2020. However imo, still a step below Niko Niko's and Ekko's here.

I ordered takeout from here on a Wednesday and then turned right around and dined in on Thursday. The gyros are top notch and the fries are decent as well. It's counter service and inside a gas station but super comfortable and convenient for a weeknight dinner where you don't want to cook. Service was pretty neutral. Quick but not overly friendly. This will become a new regular spot.

It's inside a gas station so it's unassuming on the outside. Don't be dismayed, the food and portion sizes are great!
