Had brunch here on Saturday with my wife and some friends. Great little place to stop in and have some brunch. Menu has a broad range of items and I had the shrimp& grits with Tasso ham and applewood bacon bits. It was great and had an amazing flavor. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Such great food! The staff and owners are so friendly. We ordered several items on the menu to share with our table, they were all great. The Bloody Mary's are out of this world.

‼LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ‼Stop what you're doing and go to Ed's Bistro. I don't typically write reviews, I'm mostly just a photo reviewer but this is necessary. Not only was the food fantastic but the atmosphere was outstanding. First we were immediately greeted by Ed, the owner followed by his wife. He showed us our table and recommended a couple of drinks. We were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable waitress next. They were so accommodating and attentive.Next let's talk food. We went during brunch and the menu was full of delicious options. We decided on the prime black angus eggs Benedict with a side of cheddar grits and the shrimp and grits. O.m.g amazing. I can't stress how tasty everything was! My mother typically doesn't finish her meals but this time she ate it all! Overall, I can't wait to go back and try their dinner menu. A great little hidden gem. Do NOT pass this place up. Trust me and go give it a try!!! P.S as cute and quaint as it is I would recommend reservations

Excellent food and charming ambiance! Sea Bass with risotto was preceded by a fried green tomato and mozzarella salad. Both very delicious! Oh, and the marscapone cheese cake for dessert paired with a dessert wine was fabulous. Creme brûlée was second to none. This could easily be the "go to" romantic restaurant to impress a special someone or just for a casual gourmet meal to be shared with family and friends. Great wine list. Friendly service. Lovely decor. Can't wait to go there for brunch! A++

I've been waiting months to eat at Ed's Bistro and it was worth the wait! My first meal there was the crab cakes and the Bistro Burger. The crab cakes were just the right blend of crab and bread crumbs and the sauce drizzled over them was so tasty with just a hint of spiciness. The burger had a soft brioche bun and the meat was very high quality. The carmelized onions were a savory yet sweet touch that made the burger truly special. My next meal, I hit their early bird breakfast drive through and had an epic burrito. Scrambled eggs, choice of meat (I chose bacon), a hash brown patty, hand-smashed pinto beans, American cheese and a piquant salsa to brighten it up. So delicious and way cheap!!I hit the place up again for another dinner and had the Wedge Salad...best one I've ever had!!! The thinly sliced Granny Smith apples were a delightful addition! My last meal was on the way out of town and I got the drive through breakfast again. This time I got Hot Biscuits and Gravy. Again, the best I've ever had. The biscuit was buttery and flaky and the gravy was divine. Just the right amount of sausage and spices and it wasn't greasy at all, like a lot of B&G can be. Every time I went into the restaurant, it was near capacity which is always a good sign that the food is delicious. The owners, Ed and Jody, really seem to take great pleasure in creating a great dining experience in little ol' La Porte. They have a well stocked bar with a HUGE wine list. Everything was new and clean. And fresh flowers and cloth napkins were a fine dining touch in an atmosphere that almost makes you feel like you are dining in Jody and Ed's home!! Don't miss out on this new gem in town!

Eat at Ed's! Ed's Bistro is a quaint little restaurant off Main Street with several tables and bar seating. The service is always amazing as Ed is continously checking on all parties in the restaurant making sure everyone is well taken care of. I've eaten here several times including a wine pairing dinner, brunch, and most recently dinner. All times have been incredible. The menu is small but perfect as you can everyone can find something that's suits their craving. The bar tender really knows her stuff as the key lime pie martini is to die for. Will definitely be back for that alone.

I can't say enough about this place. Food, service and Ambiance are all fantastic. Took my wife there for a brunch, now mind you everything wasn't perfect but the owner quickly corrected any issues we had. We will definitely be a regular at this place.
