Eatwell Bakery Cafe

I walked into Eatwell on the most beautiful Sunday afternoon hoping to sit on the patio, do some writing, and sip some tea. The owner greeted me at the door with a welcoming smile and kindness. I was disappointed to see that it closed at 2 and I wouldn't have long to sit, but his invitation drew me in. I saw the handwritten, simple menu and I was hooked. Everything is fresh so I had to buy more than just a tea. He mentioned the freshly made scone, so I jumped at the idea to go with my oat milk chai latte. When I asked about the moussaka vegetarian, he was kind enough to tell me about the value of chickpeas in the vegan dish. I was excited to learn more, so I will have to return again soon.

My coworker/friend and I came here for lunch. It has the feel of a classic NY style cafe. Zia, the owner is very friendly and full of facts and knowledge. I had the Moussaka vegetarian dish. It was delicious and full of flavor, not to mention a nice portion. I took half with me. He prides himself on fresh, preservative free food. You need to check it out! We'll definitely be returning for his famous hummus.Also, the best gluten free Italian wedding cookies! Yum! I'm looking forward to trying the cakes.

We like to Eatwell and that's why we came to Eatwell.Little locally owned bakery in Westchase with amazing delicious delights. We've been here at least 5 times (it's in the same plaza as our gym, grr), and we love a lot of the items. It's not too expensive, but it's all about the pastries here rather than the coffee.They have tamales and falafel and such, and I'm excited and eager to try them since the pastries are so great.It leans towards 5 stars anyway for me, especially for ownership and homestyle food, but the fact that everything here is made in as healthy a way as possible puts it over the edge.

Pre-Ordered a chocolate vegan cake for my moms birthday! They were very helpful in placing the order and giving me options to put "happy birthday mom" on cake and when I could pick it up! Really excited to try the cake when it's ready - loved them service and kindness that was offered and preparing for the special event!

Love this local Houston restaurant! Everything here is made with love and is good for you natural. They sell breakfast items, baked goods and lunch.I tried the oatmeal w yogurt and fruit. Loved every bite!

Such a cute little bakery, whether you are here for breakfast, lunch, brunch, or dinner, you can quite literally find some thing for everyone! They also have some pretty good vegetarian options as well, and as a bonus, a really fun-loving cute little owner! He loved telling his stories and really getting to know the people who come in. Cracks some witty jokes, very friendly and makes this place even better :) super home-y feel, Can definitely see myself coming in regularly. I had the chicken wrap! You can tell they make everything pretty fresh and with lots of love. The chicken was just a tad bland but I really enjoyed the delicious garlic sauce on the inside. You can find pretty healthy food here, super delicious, highly recommend!

I visited this healthy coffee shop / Mediterranean market since I had some time to kill one morning. I thought I'd been here before, but I guess it was another business. This place is unique, small, tidy and clean. One employee was dusting and cleaning during my entire visit, things I've never seen businesses clean....which is amazing!I ordered an iced cafe au lait,, and a package of double chocolate chip cookies. They only sell cookies in a package of four, so if you're looking for single serve pastry items, you're s.o.l. here.The coffee was really good, the cookies were definitely on the dry side as they don't use a lot of sweeteners, oils and definitely don't use artificial flavors in their products. This holds true as one of their mottos is, "if we didn't make it, we don't sell it". I love that concept as it's rare to see these days. I love homemade items!! However, the product still has to be good for return customers.Many of their items on the menu sounded delicious, and I will likely be a return customer to try one of their breakfast, lunch or early dinner menu items.One interesting note is that they charge $2.75 for hot water. Guess they are trying to persuade customers from bringing in their own teas here?

I love how I can always count on the owner/chef to always have gluten-free cookies! This time he had three types. Almond, wedding cookies, and peanut butter. I am so disappointed at other bakeries when there is not one sweet, treat that I can eat.I love how everything is made on site, without preservatives. I found out that the Chef has been busy making and delivering gluten-free cakes and goodies for different events around Houston. I'm so happy that he is getting more business from outside his neighborhood. He also told me that he is planning to open early in the morning for people who want takeout in the morning for breakfast or for lunch. I am sure that will make many people very happy! The chef works really hard. He believes in healthy ingredients and in feeding us fresh food made totally from scratch. Let's support his little shop!!

What a breath of fresh air! Prideful ownership, people who care! If you want fresh food prepared with good intention, if you want to talk to the owner who is a pioneer and a historian- well traveled - you've got it. Again, you'll have Fresh food - made with good intention, come to Eat well and eat well. We picked up their homemade salsa among other freshly made desserts and had a great lunch. Come eat well.

Love the message behind this company. The food was good and the service was efficient. The owner was welcoming and had a nice sense of humor. I would come and eat here again! It's a cute mom and pop style diner and feels very home-y.
