Was referred here after stopping by the big Dosey Doe for a concert the week before so we made a reservation for the speak easy. My husband and son are huge whiskey and bourbon drinkers and they loved this place so much. The room was so beautiful and quiet and our waitress was just so Amazing all night. The list of drinks and whiskeys is extensive. We ordered appetizers and enjoyed the music and private room. They had live music in the main room as well. We'll be back for sure.

Breakfast here was amazing I can't believe my husband and I haven't eaten here because it is literally down the street from our home. When we walked inside, it brought me right back to being in Nashville. It's so cozy and makes you feel right at home. The service was great, Mrs. Laura is very attentive, down to earth, and so welcoming. We want to come back a night they have live music and try their dinner menu. If you are in The Woodlands or visiting, you have to come try this place and ask for Mrs. Laura!

I actually really liked my breakfast here! There is a huge contrast from the big white brick blah walls on the outside to the explosion of southern charm on the inside so that took me by surprise. It's very quaint and homey on the inside. The staff is on the younger side, but very good at what they do and offer great suggestions. I had one of the best pancakes here and was impressed by their bacon and it was cooked perfectly. It's set up very nicely and greatly priced. I wanted to go on Sunday, but they did close at 2. So for brunch I do wish they would be open till 2:30/3 for that crowd. However, still a great place to go for a really good breakfast and tasty cup of coffee!

Place had a great atmosphere. I would love to come here for some whisky at night and watch a live band! Breakfast was okay. Nothing crazy.

Stopped in wanted some BBQ really had been wanting to try this place, it's not to far from Memorial Hermann Hospital, so easy to stop in for a bite. So much going on with this menu it was really hard to choose...I decided to go with the Trinity plate it gave me the best option to try three different meats plus two sides for a good price. Everything on my plat was delicious‼ Going to have to bring more than just me next time. I stopped in at the start of lunch just about the end of breakfast time there. It wasn't packed or busy so had time to chat with the charming waitress. Definitely a place I'll be back too. The are a music venue as well but non-performance was happening at the time.

I love Dosey Doe it has the cutest interior with the country antique vibe all with super yummy food. It's perfect because I get my brunch fix and my husband can order lunch which works out for the both of us. My breakfast plate was excellent, super yummy fluffy scrambled eggs with a super buttery biscuit and the gravy is to die for. My husband said that his BBQ sausage is the best sausage ever and that it was excellent. We always have good service when we come here super friendly staff. I would highly recommend coming here!

Also waiters are so awesome, we made great friends with Gwen. She is awesome, environment is great, very welcoming and family friendly and overall food is great. Truly a great place, definitely should check it out!

Dosey Doe BBQ is an ok restaurant, breaking down the pros and cons.Pros,Very family friendly, the employees here are attentive and nice, at least for breakfast/lunch, they check in on you often and are very polite. The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained. They expanded the restaurant to include a secret set of rooms that are also very well decorated, a great place to just chill and enjoy relaxing, you just need to know where to go and wave hello ;)Cons:For breakfast, we ordered the two egg scramble with hash browns, extra done, we also ordered the deer camp breakfast with the eggs over easy plus I ordered an extra side of grits. The hash brown came out light, mushy, and not cooked crisp, so we had them take them back to the kitchen to have them made to order. The eggs came out over hard cook on one and on the other it was over medium, so I sent the eggs back to be redone to have correctly made eggs over easy. The grits had cheese and I just pulled off the cheese because I didn't order them with cheese, but saw no point in having new grits made. Then we returned for dinner, we had heard they had great brisket, sausage, turkey and ribs. Unfortunately, that is not the case, for any of it.Turkey was dry and old, discolored and flakey, it literally had a powder texture to it and even looked like last weeks cut. Sausage was so over cooked it was rubbery and burnt, regardless of how much bbq you add to it, it's inedible. The brisket was so dry and old, adding sauce did nothing for it, plus it was simply warm to cold, had set to long in the kitchen before they brought it out, and we literally were the only customers. Finally the ribs, simply don't bother coming here for ribs, they gave me the junk pieces, the pieces no one wants to serve any customers, they were the end cuts with practically no bone but only the gristle, the second one was half bone, but both pieces were 100% over cooked and dry, only flavor to them was the fat that wasn't charred. In all fairness, the server offered to not charge us but we refused because we pay for our food and we tip, so we insisted on paying, adding to the fact that all the bbq is prepared from the Dosey Doe theatre and brought over, i highly recommend not getting any bbq from here but instead maybe from the theater, i will review that another day.One additional note, the employees hung out at the bar just chatting away then hung out in front of the restaurant chatting, not a care in the world to keep an eye on the order or time. As I mentioned a little bit ago, we were the only 2 customers, and frankly the food came out between room temperature and simply cold, so even though the lunch crew is great, and you couldn't ask for a kinder owner, the evening crew is lacking majorly, with just us 2, we spent 35+ tip, and were fed crap scraps that was clearly last weeks leftovers.I only have the dinner receipt to show, but unfortunately not the breakfast one.

I organized a private dinner party at Dosey Doe Breakfast BBQ and Whiskey Bar for 40 people. The facility was closed for the evening - only open to our folks for the night. Joan was incredible to work with. She has the patience of a saint. She went back and forth with me numerous time to ensure we had the menus just as we wanted them, organized perfectly, and accomodated our dietary restrictions, as needed. It was such a wonderful, wonderful evening! The group had a truly AMAZING time. There was a live singer/performer on stage, Joan ensured we had a dance floor available, it was exactly what we were looking for. Our group had only gushing complements for everyone and everything at Dosey Doe. The food, the service, the ambiance, the EVERYTHING. From start to finish, it was simply a joy to work with Joan and her staff. Every single need was met immediately and with a smile the entire evening. We were simply blown away. Our event was so memorable and such a treasured evening - thanks to everyone at Dosey Doe's. I HIGHLY recommend them for your next party or special event!! You will not regret it!!

It was a visually nice diner to visually visit but the food... not so much. Unfortunately the breakfast that I ordered was rather greasy with griddle Grease and caused an upset stomach. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Dosey Doe. Walking in, we were greeted and there's a nice Texas kitchen feel to the decor. There's a lot of nostalgic things around the restaurant and it looks very homegrown. The staff was courteous enough to see us quickly and take our order. They brought out the coffee rather quickly and the coffee was good not too bitter not too watery. We ordered the blueberry pancakes and the standard American scrambled egg breakfast with hash browns and biscuits. The pancakes were not only dry and texture but also dry and flavor. The blueberries were nothing more than shriveled raisin remnants of blueberries past. The egg breakfast was a slight challenge. The eggs were okay but the hash browns left a literal puddle of grease on the plate and a they tasted like old griddle grease and not butter. The biscuits and gravy were okay but the gravy was pretty bland. The gravy was basically a flower paste. The bacon was a bit overcooked and also a bit salty. Although the restaurant looked inviting and the service was nice I cannot recommend Dosey Doe due to the most important thing: which was the very disappointing quality and flavor of the food. I felt that we did not even receive a standard meal but something below standard. With so many other restaurants in the area in the Woodlands there's too many other great options within a 10 minute distance. Disappointed to leave this review but it's an honest review.
