Place kind of gave Miami vibes with their focus on presentation, ok food, and high prices. First glance at the menu shows that everything is very expensive with most wines costing around $20 per glass and $100 or more per bottle. For appetizers, we got the Chateaubriand Tartare and Artisan Cheeses, both I thought had their flaws. Assembling the cheese and jam was a bit difficult, and the lightest colored cheese was a weak player among the others. The tartare does not come with any egg mixed in so it's missing the traditional creamy flavor of a raw egg yolk, and the egg that sits on top is too overcooked to contribute significantly.Onto the steak and its sides. I heard that the restaurant specializes in a "meat board" which comes with a variety of different cuts of steak to share. It turns out that you order all the steaks separately and pay $8-$16 extra for the meats to be presented on a board. This goes back to what I said about their emphasis for display. We ordered the dry aged tomahawk which came in a board lit on fire. It was very eye catching and definitely the highlight of dinner. The steak itself was a bit tough, but the dry aged flavor was very strong. The mushrooms were our favorite side to pair with that. One downside was that the steak and bone marrow got cold very quickly, resulting in the bone marrow and any fat on the steak quickly solidifying within 10 mins of being served. To finish, we got the Sesa Brulee as dessert. The texture was great with nuts on top, a soft center, and a layer of crust underneath. The flavor however was not memorable, and I thought the cream dollops on top did not pair well with the brulee.Although I didn't find the food impressive, the service was out of this world, and I would give 5 stars for the service alone. Ashley is one of the best servers we've ever had and the whole dining experience felt smooth like butter thanks to her. We started the birthday dinner with complimentary shots and ended with some affogato and a sparkler. The vanilla ice cream was excellent, did not taste artificially sweet, and was actually better than the brulee we had ordered. Overall, the place would be fun if you come with a group and are looking to be entertained, but if you are looking for a mind blowing meal, things can be hit or miss depending on what you order.

Celebrating my anniversary at this spot was a delightful experience! Despite the bustling Thursday night crowd, we were glad to tick this place off our list. Make sure to secure a reservation, as the small valet-only parking lot fills up quickly. While the service could use a bit more attentiveness, the delectable dishes compensated for it. The standout was the Octopus - an unexpectedly delightful surprise. The Seared Scallops were a solid starter, akin to what you'd find elsewhere. The Bone-in Rib Eye & Rib Eye Steak were tasty, though I'd recommend specifying medium for a perfect cook. The Chocolate in Bond dessert, unfortunately, didn't leave a lasting impression.Even though we spent over $300, the overall experience justified the cost. I highly recommend this place, especially for special occasions!

Doris Metropolitan offers fine dining that in my opinion aligns with the prices you'll pay for the experience. Upon arrival, the first impression of the exterior is simple with limited parking so expect to get lucky with street parking or take the easy route and use the valet service. Their interior is classy and dimly lit with appreciated spacing between tables so you will feel comfortable even with a packed restaurant. The staff is very professional, courteous and knowledgeable of all menu items, so engage them. I started with incredible cocktails from their specialty beverage list which were prepared by experts behind the bar. Don't just do your usual be daring and try one! My meal started with the Jerusalem Salad which was remarkable. They offer complimentary bread and oil that you'll love and likely eat too much. It's a steakhouse so I went all in on my favorite, a big juicy ribeye. The steak was cooked perfectly to my requested temperature and well seasoned to not to overpower the meat. Doris Metropolitan feels like a great idea for special occasion dining but I recommend more frequent "let's treat ourselves" visits.

Came here for an anniversary and everything was amazing from the moment we walked in. We received complimentary glasses of wine, and the staff was exceptional all night long. They kept checking up on us and seem to truly care about customer experience. Now onto the food! We got the meat board to try a bit of everything, included was the strip, ribeye, A5, and bone marrow. It was by far the best dry aged cuts I've had, and the bone marrow was like butter. I love bread so I really enjoyed their complimentary bread. It was super flavorful, soft, and buttery. Drinks and dessert were also showstopping! All in all, perfect ambiance for date night!

A solid spot! I see why it has been around for quite a bit.Let's start by saying all day happy hour on Mondays! We took advantage of this and then added more! The CDMX cocktail was very nicely done. The sides were amazing! Full of great flavors. Don't pass on the grilled shrimp. Overall steak was good. I wouldn't say the best steak in town but still nicely done. Helps it comes out with fire! Service was lovely. Attentive without being overbearing.Parking - complimentary valet ++I look forward to exploring the menu more in the future!

Small portions, over priced and not one dish was memorable.Drinks are served table side off a wheeled dolly - extra points for that! Waiter bringing over someone else's dirty glass, setting it on our table (extra gross) while taking our desert order - subtracts all their prior points for the table side dolly service. Started thinking about his carrying the glass from the top lip, transferring those germs to us - ugh. Seriously - why the all hype? Decor is well thought out but Rumi, others easily top it. Not likely to return or recommend.

10/10 recommend! My husband and I have driven past this restaurant so many times since we moved to Houston in April and decided that our Halloween anniversary is the perfect excuse for us to go try it and celebrate. We made reservations online and we actually showed up a little early but they welcomed us like we were regulars, congratulated us on our anniversary and once we were sat, brought us a couple glasses of champagne to start our evening. Their Fall cocktail is like a boozy apple juice that I need on tap! It was so good and not a heavy drink. Their bread platter is to DIE for, I love that it's an assortment of bread and spreads. We also started off with a dozen oysters that were just so fresh and paired amazingly with their in-house tobassco sauce. Our entrees were a stead and their Fall Off the Bone short rib (which I will come in every day to enjoy if I could!). I took their short rib leftovers and enjoyed with some eggs in the morning and it was just as delicious.

Perfect for dinner or Happy Hour.Made a reservation for Happy Hour. So nice to be able to enjoy life and celebrate a milestone with a special family friend. Happy Hour is from 5-7 weeknight and 5-close on Mondays.Basically ordered almost everything on the HH menu. Israeli salad, tomato salad, their famous bread plate, tuna tartare, kebabs and tenderloin skewers. The salads are always so delicious. The tomato salads has a variety of tomatoes and is so light, so fresh and so delicious. The Israeli salad is served on a bed of tahini. Perfectly paired with the bread plate which includes three breads, focaccia, onion and cheese, and butters and an olive oil dipping sauce. The tuna tartare is a delicious bite. All of the steaks at Doris Metropolitan are choice cuts. Although I am not a steak lover, my hubby and our friend loved the kafta kebab and tenderloin served on the most delicious root purée. Add a pomegranate mock-tail and it was a perfect Happy Hour. Definitely make a reservation for Doris Metropolitan for dinner or Happy Hour. A great place to just celebrate life.

Absolutely fantastic! This place is such a vibe. I enjoyed Rico's and Rachel's service at the bar. They truly made date night an unforgettable experience!! I ordered the Ribeye and Root Puree (I also ordered the Beetroot but ate it before I could snap a pic). The ribeye was everything!!!!! So juicy and cooked to perfection, and the root puree did not miss. My date had the tenderloin with bone marrow, and claimed this was probably the best steak he's had. Everything is great. Service is friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed ourselves here! See you next time, Doris I
