Park shops is completely being renovated so I didn't get the full experience and there was lots of stair climbing. The food was okay. I'm hoping to visit the new location in Allen Center downtown soon. Once this location is completed, I'm excited to come back and give it another shot. The veggie dumplings had spinach and glass noodles, they were tasty.

This is an obsession for me. You like dumplings? This is your place. Get them all - veggie, chicken, pork. It doesn't matter. Just do it dumpling freak. If you don't like them, go seek counceling.

How in the hell did you get my email address after eating there? If you traced my credit card information I am reporting you to my bank AND BBB!Besides that the dumplings were like eating a under seasoned pork ball wrapped in cold raw dough,

Located at The Shop in the Houston Center building, this lunch spot is perfect for something quick and easy. The staff are always friendly and super quick with their service. My favorites are the pork dumplings with hot and sour soup. The perfect combo. They also served spring rolls and soup noodles. Menu is small but a good variety of options. Prices are also affordable. I like supporting small businesses in downtown and this is one of my favorite lunch spots.

This hidden gem is greatly priced, efficient and delicious!! Loved their veggie dumplings. Can truly taste that they are homemade and they also have tasty fried rice (more like an onion fried rice). The service was super quick and the dumpling sauce you get is absolutely delicious!

Dumpling dough was super thick. I asked for the mixed dumplings and all I got was pork. I wasn't impressed, won't be back.

Best downtown dumplings imo and one of my go to lunch spots. There's usually a line, but don't worry... the staff has their system down to a science. They are super speedy and the line moves quickly - so quickly that newcomers may be overwhelmed and need a minute to figure out what to get from the menu. I'd recommend knowing what you want to order before jumping in line just so you don't feel rushed when it's time to order. The dumplings are packed and very filling. It's one of the few places where I'll order veggie dumplings because they're just that good. The spicy sauce is like crack. Get it extra spicy if you like that extra kick. I'll typically do half veggie and half pork. They also have a good selection of fresh fruit.

This is my first review of Doozo, but I used to eat here regularly - generally at least once a week - between 2008 and 2020. After most downtown workers were sent home due to Covid-19, I didn't eat here for a couple of years. This was my first visit since mid-2022.Their dumplings were, at one time, the very best in downtown, if not all of Houston. Something has changed in the last couple of years such that their dumplings - while still quite good and worth trying - are not the same. My go-to order there is the pork dumplings, extra spicy. It seems the dough is tougher than it once was, and the meat inside has also changed in texture. I noticed that neither member of the couple that had run Doozo for years was there, so it's possible they passed the reins to someone else. I do not want to suggest that this restaurant isn't worth trying - it absolutely is. It is just not the same restaurant that it was five years ago.

This place used to be SO GOOD. During the workday, the line would be 30 people deep. During Covid, it changed ownership and it has completely gone downhill. The dumpling dough is thick and heavy, like the top of the dumplings have about 1/2 inch of thick dough. I used to love their veggie dumplings but recently ordered them and literally took one bite and through the rest out, they were inedible. I bit into something hard in the pork dumplings and they weren't served warm. Giving 2 star review because the hot & sour soup is still pretty good as is the fresh fruit. So sad that this is no longer a good lunch option.

The dumplings were cold and some of them were hard like they were old or reheated. I expected better and left disapointed.
