Doña Juana's Dominican Restaurant

Nice clean very tasty appetizers! Ordered three of them and they were all perfect!!! Great looking place and the workers/servers made me feel very comfortable! Clean place!

The Bacalaitos were delicious and I really enjoyed my Chimichurri. The Tostones and Madurai were also good. The bistec was a little too savory for my taste, but still pretty decent. The Sopa de Pollo was definitely tasty and perfect as the weather got a little colder. The Chicharron de Puerco were extra crunchy.The service was great. The place is a little small, but we were able to sit 7 of us together.

My first time trying Mofongo! So yummy. I really enjoyed this dish here. The waiters spoke limited English so it was difficult to ask them the best way to dig into this dish. The empanadas were delicious and crispy/crunchy. We came an hour before closing time on a Friday night and besides a takeout order, we were the only ones dining in. It was quiet. The mural on the wall was very pretty. It's a far drive for me but I think people living closer should give this place a try!

I am so excited a new Dominican restaurant has come to the area! I usually have to travel across town to get my Dominican food fix. I came by here specifically to have the pollo guisado and absolutely loved it. The food is absolutely delicious and always fresh. The decor and presentation are also really fun. Service was friendly and fast, we will definitely be returning!

the owner contacted me very apologetically about what happened. She offered to give me a refund or another Mofongo. I decided to give them another chance and try another Mofongo. After talking to them I believe it was just an unfortunate incident that they did not realize the issue with the prior dish. I commend them because their customer service is definitely top notch. This time I only got a shrimp mofongo, couldn't take a picture but believe me it was really good and I would definitely order again.

Really great food. Tostones Rellenos we're a 10/10. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Excellent place to go when you're craving ethnic cuisine. Staff was super nice and friendly.

Coming from a Dominican Queen herself.... This place is the Sugar Honey Ice T!!!!!! Everything is authentic to the T. The food is outstanding. The service is incredible; I've met the owner a couple times now and she is the sweetest lady with such a moving story about how her restaurant came to fruition. The inside is beautiful, it looks just like the streets of Puerto Plata, DR. When my family & friends come to visit, this is the first place I take them. LOVE Doña Juana's!

I love the ambiance when you walk in. It's decorated nicely, made me feel like I was in DR lol. There are traditional decorations and highlights throughout the restaurant.I ordered the chicken dish with white rice and sweet plantains. The flavor of the chicken was good had a lite flavor not bold at all. I've never had Dominican food so I was interested to taste the flavors that made the dish unique to Dominican cooking style but i didnt get a unique bold take from it. It would have been nice if the rice had peas in it to make it a more hearty meal. They did serve beans on the side. Service was excellent. The young lady at the counter offered me samples of the jaimica, tamarind and horchata drinks. They were pretty cool. Overall I'd say give them a try, the food is good. I'll have to try the mofongo. I believe that will give me that authentic Dominican experience.

The beef guisado was good but different than what I've had in the past. The steak sandwich and the empanadas were to die for. Definitely will be going back! Staff didn't speak English, but it was easy to order. The vibes are very colorful and comfortable.

Terrible food. Raw dough, greasy. Bacalaitos...Do not recommend. Will not return... plus expensive for the quality and quantity of food.
