So this little food truck is in a cleared field/area called Montgomery Grove. We thought it was going to be multiple food trucks out here but apparently we were wrong. Right now there is dizzy pies, and we were wrong about this too. We thought it was going to be fruit pies and we were wondering why it was so busy on a Friday night. We are here on Saturday afternoon and loving it. The wide open beautiful clearing with lots of shade and ...knock on wood ...not a lot of bugs. We both ordered individual pizzas , did not need to do that. The pizzas are big enough that we could have easily shared one, wouldn't have been any to take home but still would have been enough. It sounds like late summer than will be an actual restaurant here as well as the food truck with the pizzas. Definitely something you'll want to check out. Back to the outside seating, again, this is really a nice area, there are places for bonfires which would be fun to be a part of. Lots of tables with umbrellas, but really not needed because there are so many full trees and shade out here. Great country music is playing loudly and depending on where you sit, it's wonderful. I guess if you were right in front of the speaker it would be a bit annoying, but where we are was just perfect. The Grove is spectacular. I keep looking around expecting to see the deer come out of the Treeline. I bet it happens at night. I highly suggest checking this place out.

My husband has been wanting to try their pizza for a long time and today we finally stopped by. We had the Rocky Texas Ranger pizza and it was freaking fantastic. To me the most important thing about a pizza is the crust. Their crust is very tasty and light! Perfect wood fired crust! The second thing, to me, is the sauce. The sauce has a great flavor and it's no super herby..just very flavorful. The third is the cheese. You can tell that they use a high quality mozzarella on the pizza. There wasn't too much or too little. It was just right. Finally, the toppings were top notch, fresh and flavorful! If you are walking around the food trucks and trying to decide what to get, do yourself a favor and get one of these pizzas!

These guys know how to cook a pie! Definitely best in Montgomery! Crisp crust taste just like a brick oven pizza!

I'm from out of town and _love_ wood-fired pizza. I had never spent much time looking for a place because I'm usually overruled by my kids with some other type of food or a different type of pizza. We went to Deacon Baldy's, so my kids could get what they wanted. Win. This place looked legit, so I checked it out.I was recommended to try either Maverick County or Southbound 35. I usually prefer red sauces, but figured I'd try Maverick County because the artichoke dip sauce sounded interesting.Man, it did not disappoint. First, the cook was just right on some great dough. No soggy bottom, and there was just enough chew where you wanted it. The toppings improved on that stellar base. Just the right amount of creaminess from the sauce, with smokiness from the bacon and pancetta, and some acid from the tomato to cut through it. Pair that with good beer from Deacon Baldy's? Yeah, that was a good meal.I'll _absolutely_ be back here to try more of their pies. So happy we found a place like this!

FIRST of all, da lil handicapped homie supports everything at the Deacon Baldy's Food Trucks. Seriously, the list of craft beer is extensive, staff is super friendly, bartenders speak fluent beer, it's great. (Had to get that tidbit in.) Dizzy's Pies? Yup, go for it. Now, that doggone Southbend pizza that they've mastered? That mug immediately stole our attention. Yoooo, it has mexican creme, beef fajita, grilled onions, cheese, cilantro, lime... My kids devoured it at a historic pace. They fought over the last slices! My wife was not so impressed with the Mexican creme. To paraphrase, "after the first slice, I just didn't want a 2nd slice. The flavor was good but I was over it quickly." That was just pizza #1 and we have every intention of trying everything on their menu.

So for starters this is a food truck just Incase you're looking for a restaurant like we did. They are located at baldys which does have (very clean) bathrooms. The staff was very friendly The food was reasonably priced. Now to the food aka pizza!!!We got the alright alright alright pizza and the red headed stranger and we couldn't finish it.Honestly I think we could have just shared just one pizza and it would have been perfect. However, we wanted to try another pizza. Both pizzas had great flavor and had good pizza flop. The crust had a good thickness and crips. Our only complaint was the pizza was brunt enough that you could taste it. However, it wasn't overpowering the taste of the toppings. Overall the pizza and the environment were perfect. Well done to the ladies that helped us and made a great pizza. This was just what we needed for the day. Also we were told they have pies, cupcakes and other desserts. Hope y'all enjoy

Why 4 stars? Because the BBQ chicken pizza hit the spot. --- --- ---After quickly becoming a fan of Wiches on Wheels before they temporarily shut things down, I was excited to try Dizzy Pies, which is under the same ownership. I went with the Fayrweather Byrd (BBQ Chicken) and the Southbound, which is like a Tex-Mex pizza - headlined by beef fajita meat.I thought the fayrweather byrd was pretty ideal. I ordered mine without jalapenos because my wife and I are really wusses when it comes to spicy food. My wife tried one bite of one slice and I ate the rest of the entire pizza by myself. Not because I was still hungry by the end, but because it was so delicious. And to make matters worse for my appetite, I also ate more than half of the Southbound, making it 13 slices in one sitting for me. I didn't have to include these embarrassing details in my review, but here I am, outing myself. I thought the southbound was fine, but would probably go for something else on the menu next time.Lastly, we finished with a mother fudger brownie. When I ordered it (to-go), he asked if we wanted everything on top: ice cream, whip cream, etc. I said yes, because I assumed it would be kept separate. But unfortunately, it was all packed into one box, so by the time I got home, it was virtually all melted. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious, but I'd probably only order this if you plan on eating it as soon as it's made.I will definitely check out Dizzy Pies again, as it's a very solid option in the neighborhood.

We had such a lovely dinner under the shaded canopy of the trees, and the weather was perfect for an evening outside! The kids loved running around on the turf, and the pizza and desserts were delicious! We hear they make a mean burger on Saturday, so we will have to come back and try it out! Friendly service, and excellent menu choices. We will be back! We love supporting small, local businesses.

Dizzy's recently moved to Montgomery, parking the pizza trailer in a grove next to the old Heritage House restaurant site. We tried it Saturday evening only knowing it had thin crust pizzaThe setting is beautiful. A park like atmosphere with lots of wood picnic tables. Kid and dog friendlyThe pizza was great. The two of us split an Alright Alright Alright. It had plenty of toppings, sauce and cheese. My husband wanted his half all the way, I requested and received mine minus mushrooms, cilantro and bell pepper. I was surprised to see his bell pepper appeared add after baking making it fresh and crispVery pleasant setting, great food and cold beer. We'll be back
