Just found these guys in Houston and I'm very excited! I've been ordering my coffee from other roasters around Texas and the country but wanted to try and find a local source for the high quality coffee for my daily personal coffee consumption. Lots of options for coffee sources and notes and you can order your beans in a variety of sizes vs. a one-size bag that you blow through in a few days. Give them a try - you'll be happy you did and can also help promote a local Houston business.

Got the whiskey coffee for the boyfriend as a gift from a recommendation and he loved it. We used a French press to bring all of the flavors out and it was really good coffee. It isn't particularly whiskey ish but you can taste the barrel flavor in the depth of the coffee if that makes sense. A high quality and flavorful coffee that's very complex. We are very very happy with this choice and can't wait to taste others from the District Roasters family! Also the delivery was so fast. I'm pretty sure I bought this in the early part of this week and by the time I remembered I had ordered it, it was on our doorstep this afternoon. Plus the nice note inside thanking us was very nice

What can I say - District Roasters has some legit coffee. Probably some of the best I've tried in Houston. Was able to get this at the Heights Mercantile Farmers Market and have tried a few of their roasts: Indonesia | DARK Sumatra, Blend | Totally Righteous House, Honduras | Santa Rosa Dark, and Colombia Juan Felipe Restrepo Micro-Lot. All were great and I look forward to trying more!

District Roasters is FANTASTIC. I met Alex at our cafe where he introduced himself and asked about our coffee program. I just happened to be looking for a great, locally roasted coffee to offer our customers. Alex told the story of District Roasters and how they are "Coffee. On mission" and have direct relationships with the various coffee farmers/plantations. Alex worked directly with us (even helping with the install of new equipment) to find the right coffee beans and blends. The service is as good as the coffee product and that is GREAT.

The coffee is on point. Alex is the man and has a true passion for his coffee. Very cool location and off the beaten path. In the Woodlands this is breath of fresh air compared to the typical Starbucks.

Love the story behind this local coffee roaster. The owner, Alex does a masterful job in communicating his love and passion for coffee. It's incredible when you think how these beans are roasted and then shipped halfway across the world in order to make it to your cup. We contacted Alex to set up a time to sample some pourovers. It was great to hear his heart and how he came to be at District. We were grateful for the stories of him partnering to empower roasters from Costa Rica, Salvador, and other places. Every type of roast has a story behind it. Not to mention that he is able to supply us ground beans at a good price. Also impressed with his service and care for us as customers. Please support our local District Roasters! They are amazing.

My wife and I cannot drink regular coffee by itself anymore because it affects our sleep and gives us headaches so weve switched to swiss water processed decaf. Given that weve had to give up so much in the coffee drinking experience we try and get what we do consume to taste as fresh as possible so weve turned to getting our decaf beans roasted locally. Weve tried a couple of places in Houston and just recently came across District Coffee.Once we checked their website and made sure it was swiss water processed and not bathed in paint stripper chemicals we decided to give them a try... the head roaster Alex is a humble guy who has a family operated business near the 249/Cypress area. I drove out to the District headquarters to pick up a pound of decaf and Alex gave me a tour around the facility which was modest, but professional. Before i left, Alex asked about the reason for decaf and i explained that we mix it with regular to create a half caff blend and with that he walked over to a bin in the shop and pulled out an additional bag of whole bean half caff blend of their signature roast and said it was "on the house" since i had come all the way out from the Sugar Land area. Wow. Now that was unexpected and also very nice considering gas costs near four bucks these days.We just had a pour over cup of that this morning and it was very, very smooth. If the regular whole bean decaf is anywhere close to the smoothness of this signature half caff roast we will most likely add District coffee to our regular rotation of coffees for our morning routine. Thanks Alex. Good luck to you and your family and we'll spread the word about your brand. Take care.
