District 7 has perfectly fine American fare. I thought my shrimp fish tacos were good, though I didn't love the tortillas on the tacos (clearly store-bought). But it's a fine spot for a casual lunch.

Not the same place I remember. Place is hot inside. My veggie burger was microwaved too high. 15 minutes later and it's still steaming and not edible. .

Customer service was great! Got the chicken fried chicken with gravy, everything was delicious a little stingy with the gravy. they served it in a small container, but no biggie asked for more and received also got a pancake ... it was a lil dry and thick not my favorite... brought my baby of course and ... there's no changing table. However there's an area next to the sink you can kind of work with. My child is in size 12-18 months and he legs were definitely dangling luckily it was a quick #1 change but if it was a #2 we would have probably had to step out to change her out in our vehicle.

In town from Florida for the Astros game and stumbled across District 7 Grill.... EXCELLENT PIZZA!!! Cannot say that enough. Highly recommend it if you're in Houston!!!!

Ate lunch at District 7 yesterday. This was probably my fourth time having lunch there. This location is less than 10 minutes from the University of Houston campus, and offers a variety of affordable meal options. Ordered the chicken penne pasta, and the portion size was perfect for lunch. Flavors were on point. Parking lot is small, so it gets crowded on busy days. Staff is friendly. Service is reasonably quick.

This was pretty good. It wasn't many people besides us , so the service was quick. You do have to order at the front, but i'm okay with that. The food was cooked really well and the sauce on the chicken was sweet and savory. The broccoli was nice and crisp (how i personally like it) and the mash was great , if you like your potatoes not too smashed. I had the Chardonnay as well and it was pretty good. The server was hilarious, he has great people skills, even with his bizarre music opinions lol. Id definitely return.

3.5 to be exact. Breakfast was chicken and waffles which was decent. Waffles were very good and the fried chicken was decent.The next day back for their patty melt. Just ok. The bread looked like white bread (Texas Toast) instead of the expected classic and flavorful rye bread. The onions and cheese were a melted mess without distinct flavor. Overall a miss especially at this price but still was consumed.Both days the "server" was hardly there, strange considering the low low table count.The atmosphere was under construction with no obvious work in progress. However there was a sign on the door apologizing. Given they are walking distance from George Brown convention center and the expensive Hilton with a $30 plus drink breakfast, District 7 is missing an opportunity by not opening earlier (now 10am) to entice some of those thousands of people over for a simple breakfast plate or waffles. I had asked the Hilton front desk for something like this diner but District 7 was closed at 7 am and was not mentioned.

Came here for brunch and it was such a quaint spot. You order your food at a counter and then find a seat. The menu has a good variety. I ordered the pizza... they make it all from scratch and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. My friends had breakfast and I did sample the breakfast potatoes and they were seasoned really well. We ate out on the patio and they bring you your food and clean up after you leave. You could even hear the music from the club next door. I will be back as there is so much on the menu I want to try.
