Quick friendly service here. Been meaning to go here for years, but I'm never around while it's open. This roast pork is crazy good. It doesn't even need any sauce etc because there's so much flavor and juice. The rabe, long hots, and horseradish are a nice touch. Tons of union worker representation all over the windows, so you know it's good. Can't beat the quality and portions for the price anywhere. I'll be back for sure.

Tried the roast pork sandwich with provolone. Portions are good, service is fast, the sandwich is just OK, the meat had a rather strong gamey taste and sandwich itself was a bit dry. Overall just OK.

Soooo I'm a tourist and Dinics has been on my must visit list for at least ten years! Finally I was going to have the famous roast pork sandwich with aged provolone and broccoli rhabe. There was no line at Reading Terminal Saturday morning (5/21/22) which I found surprising. Walked right up, ordered a sandwich, paid, and it was in my hand in less than 2 minutes (which somewhat concerned me). Kinda just felt like they threw it all together. The roll was fresh and sturdy but you know, not a lot of flavor to it to be honest. The roast pork was tender and moist but was barely warm and tepid, and frankly a little bland. The aged provolone was definitely present in my sandwich, loved it! But yes yes the real star of the show was the broccoli rhabe. It was cooked perfectly. It was green, had some crunch, good amount of bitterness, and nice and garlicky. All in all a very good sandwich and but not spectacular. I wish my sandwich was hotter (temperature). And I wish the pork was seasoned more. Dinics is a rite of passage for many and was for me. But with so many places opening up in Philly, I think it's ok to break from traditions if it only enhances the food and eating experience.

My friend recommended this place to me and said it was the best sandwich in the Reading Terminal Market. So we decided to give it a try. There was a slight line but it went by fairly quick. We asked the worker what was popular there so we just ordered what he recommended. We tried the brisket sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich. The brisket sandwich was my favorite. The brisket was very juicy and tender. It came with some sort of greens but we got that on the side. It was alright...tasted like collared greens. The pulled pork was my least favorite. I think it didnt have enough cheese or something but it was dry and didnt have much flavor. It was definitely very filling and we had shared this with 4 people.

This is a review for their BEC breakfast sandwich. I know this isn't what they're known for. I had it on a bagel. The bagel was pure garbage. The egg and bacon were tasty though and a nice portion. I've had it on a long roll before which is so much better. If you're getting breakfast down in the navy yard there just make sure to get it on a roll!

Oh! My! Gosh! This food is SO good! Navy Yard setting. They have a few bench tables. It's very South Philly - order at the window. Blue collar with union decals. Union dudes know how to eat! My daughter and I split a Roast Pork with Sharp Provolone and spinach. She said, "I didn't think I was a spinach girl, but I am now!" Dripping Goodness! NOTE: I didn't take a picture of the menu, but prices have gone up about 50cents.

Dinic's Pork & Beef down in the Navy Yard is unbeatable when it comes to a juicy roast pork sandwich. I crave it almost on the daily - it differs from the Reading Terminal Market location in that it also offers breakfast and has cheesesteaks on the menu as well. I have also tried their cheesesteak sandwich and it's also really incredible (I would say one of the best in Philly too when it comes to overlooked places!).The roast pork sandwich is huge, and comes with heaping portions of sliced pork that is just dripping with flavor. Definitely be prepared with a ton of napkins. Also, make sure to order it with their sharp provolone and homemade horseradish - the combination really can't be beat. The pork is tender and has a nice peppered flavor to it as well. The price for what you get is amazing, and it's perfect to takeout during the pandemic. I would say however try to eat it on the spot if possible - the bread does get soaked through pretty quickly with how juicy the pork is. If you're getting cheesesteaks, you don't have to worry as much about that. I would trek all the way down to the Navy Yard literally just to pick up their sandwiches the next time I have a craving. I hope the other location is just as good as they are, and will definitely have to try the Reading Terminal one, but I do slightly prefer this location again because of the greater variety on the menu.

Cute little spot in reading terminal market! Checked this place out while on holiday in Philadelphia. Heard great things about the pork sandwich. I don't eat pork so I opted for the beef rendition with spicy pepper. It was pretty darn good. Once all the juices mix together the sandwich has it going on.Service was good too! You really get a genuine vibe from the waitress. She was sweet. As a side note my lover got pepper in his eye! So be sure not to touch your face while eating lol

The roast pork sandwich is delicious!! Philadelphia may be known for their cheesesteaks, but I will be coming back for the roasted pork! Add broccoli rabe, sharp provolone, and horseradish. It can not be beat.
