Oh my goodness - quite honestly the worst dim sum I've EVER had.... I've had good dim sum, also have had mediocre dim sum...but bad dim sum? This was certainly a first. My first time coming and I'm def not returning. We came in for a late lunch to a nearly empty restaurant. We ordered:-shrimp dumplings - mediocre-fried pork dumplings - TERRIBLY executed. the fried dough was SO heavy and oily. there was barely any meat inside. not even a spoonful. I'm not one to waste food but we did not finish this-chinese broccoli - ok, can't mess this up-pork dumplings - this took THIRTY minutes to come out....absolutely no apology/excuse from them. they must've given our order to another table that came after us.Get your dim sum elsewhere.

We came to Chinatown to run some errands and ended up in this parking lot. We walked around saw this spot was busy and gave it a try. The restaurant is tucked in a weird alleyway and to your right side. The interior of the restaurant is pretty old fashioned and people and tables are packed in there like sardines. I'm sure it appeals to some people but I'm personally a bigger fan of personal space. Service was very slow; we waited at the front for 5 minutes before we got sat down. They don't have the dim sum cart here so it's order off the menu. We ordered a bunch off the menu; most of the items we ordered were below average and slightly bland and doughy. My least favorite was the fried taro balls. The BBQ pork noodles/doughy item was the best tasting. The pork ribs were alright but again, the flavor was bland. Their char Siu buns was very light on the meat and heavy on the dough. Everything else was a bit bland for me; it was below par compared to anything I've had at Fung's and I got told during lunch that HK Dimsum was better. Price wise, it wasn't cheap either by any means; $50 for a lunch for two... not impressed!

Overall, it was good. We were only kind of hungry so we didn't eat a whole lot but what we had was ok. The crab rangoons were a little too crispy and over cooked but everything else we had was good. The pork steamed dumplings, and the shrimp dumplings had a good flavor. The shrimp stuffed eggplant was good too. The suave/gravy it's in was good. Inside is typical of a smaller family owned place, which I like. It typically means authenticity. The staff weren't mean or anything but also not overly friendly. I said bye and thank you to an employee and didn't get anything in return. Again, not bad service. The food came out quickly and all, but just not super welcoming. BUT the food was good, the place was clean so I'll return.

A solid dim sum place! Food was good but not mind-blowing. I wish they had lazy Susan's at the tables as it was mildly inconvenient sharing food with a large party. There's a lot of parking available.

Dim sum was mediocre at best. Literally each item took a very long time to come out. Ordered six dim sum items and we finished each item one buy one as it arrived 10 to 15 minutes apart.

We love dim sum and found this place nearby. The food was nice and hot and most of it was pretty good. We liked the fried pork dumplings the most. My daughter loves crab but was not a fan of the steamed crab dumplings. The pork ribs were good but has a lot of tiny bones. The big fat noodles were a bit much for my mouth so take small bites The reason I'm giving 3 stars is for how we felt afterwards. We got sleepy and felt so tired. We had just woken up, got ready and headed here first. No reason to feel this way except for MSG or tryptophan like after thanksgiving.

Service was extremely terrible. Other people that got there after us were served before us. I counted 3 other tables that got food first. We kept asking what was taking so long and they would say dim sum takes long. The other tables also orders dim sum and they got their orders!!!! We had to flag down waiters for refills or questions!!!

This location is tucked into the shopping strip mall here in Houston's Chinatown. About 25-30 tables in this establishment. I made a takeout order.Ambiance: staff was attentive although not super chatty. It was clean although the location could use some new carpet or a serious cleaning. Chinese music playing in the background is a nice touch.

Located in the east end of Chinatown, this unassuming restaurant has delicious dishes for reasonable price. Friendly staff and quick service. Highly recommend Crab King Shiu Mai and Shrimp Egg Roll.

I have been coming here for well over 10 years. They had changed owners once but kept the same chefs. They are usually pretty busy on the weekends but are quick to serve food. They're sort of a hole in the wall, it used to be a small space but they expanded it. They don't have carts because they don't have enough space for it, but I highly recommend coming here for their dim sum. It's reasonably priced and the portions are decent.
