Dewey's F'ing Bar

Walked 1/2 way across town & they were closedEven AFTER calling to make sure they were openLooked inside thru the doors & it seemed like a dumpStunk outside like stale cigarettes

This place could be the hottest local spot...It needs a deep clean and the kitchen needs to reopen!We have NOTHING in the area like this as -Well...It's just not what it used to be!Maybe have someone take it over so it can be the neighborhood go to once againIt's open, it's closed-One never knows anymore

Now this is what you call a locals dive bar with great. Fun place just to enjoy a beer and chill. Bartender Olga was really nice and great conversation. Good spot for a late night beer

It's a decent well lit corner bar. It's definitely not a dive bar like the reviews say. Drinks are standard south beach price, but being off the strip it may be worth a visit. I'll most likely go back to give the food a try.

Decent place, a little pricey for a dive bar in my opinion but its SOBE, also do not park Down the street from the place. The parking lot nearby is a death trap for towing. Bartenders were nice though.

Wonderful, classic corner bar that has maintained it's simplicity. This local watering hole is perfect if you are bringing your own party/gang, which I have done several times. During major sports events, the big screen sports crowd dominates because they can sit all night and drink relatively inexpensive beers etc. But most nights its a mellow venue with a sweet bartender and good music.There is a great outdoor seating area for smoking or enjoying the night air. I hear they are going to start a Salsa night with a DJ playing classic NY 60's - 80's hits! Stay tuned for more info.

This place was terrible for a drink. I went in and someone was burning plastic to warm their hands. The smell was repulsive.

The place is ok and the staff too. The brew is a little beat expensive for a dive bar. The problem with this bar (at least this Friday) is the regulars. There were just two a** h**** who were all the night screaming and trying to get attention, without any suggestion from the staff to calm down. I saw people who stay for a couple minutes and leave because these two characters. Probably, this happened just tonight. I don't know. I will give to this place one more chance, though.

Gerta, the bartender, is extremely unpleasant every time I come to Dewey's. It's not just to me, but to everyone at the bar. I've even witnessed her being rude and disrespectful to her own coworkers. She doesn't belong in the service industry at all with the way she treats customers. And, when she isn't being "interrupted" to help customers, she's sitting on the back bar on her phone. It's clear that the owner doesn't make his customers a priority by the fact that she still works there.However, most of the bar staff has been replaced recently, and the current crew (with the exception of Gerta) is doing a great job. All the girls are pleasant, friendly and attentive.
