This was going to be my last CO brewery (for this trip). My wife thought we were taking a Capital tour, and we did, but Wynkoop was my objective. In fact it was mentioned on the tour. Apparently a former mayor owned the brewery that once occupied this building. Pretty nice menu. Was not expecting so many food options. Our server Mac C, was very helpful with the menu, and the beer. The burger was very good, and the spicy hummus outstanding. After I ate, I roamed the building. Wow, I was not expecting a pool hall upstairs. I wish I had time to try more beers, but the Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout is one I will remember for a while. I kind of wish I had bought the t-shirt (see picture).

I stopped in here on a trip to Denver and had a couple of food items and the beer. Both were excellent. The pretzel is huge and had spicy mustard and cheese sauce. It was steaming hot and chewy. The pork green chili was very spicy and in a huge bowl. A great value. The beers were excellent, as always. I prefer the darker beers, so your choices might be different, but the ones I had were excellent. Convenient located near the union station commuter rail line!

It's been a while since my last visit, and a few things have changed, but the essentials are still solid. First of all, big shoutout for adding a kids menu and crayons--always a lifesaver when dining with little ones. Now, onto the important stuff--the beer. Thankfully, not much has changed here. The beers are still good--not mind-blowing, but they hit the spot. And the names? Even better. Honestly, who doesn't love a good pun in their pint? But the biggest improvement? The service. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, which was a refreshing upgrade from what I remember. The food also stepped up its game. I ordered the Wynkoop burger, asked for it medium-rare, and surprise--it actually came out medium-rare! Toppings were on point, and the burger was satisfying overall. My wife went for the schnitzel grilled cheese, which had potential. It was good but could've used a bit less bread or maybe just a solid press to bring it all together. You come for the Rocky Mountain Oyster Beer (yes, that's exactly what you think it is) and keep coming back for everything else. All in all, a solid spot.

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5We popped in for lunch one day, our of convenience. The attractive historic building, an old train depot of sorts, caught my eye. The inside keeps some of us historic charm with the wood but otherwise it feels pretty standard bar vibe. The staff were helpful and friendly the entire time. My husband ordered a beer (me preggo at the time) and said it was "pretty good. "The food was decent - is say just a knotty above bar food in quality, but still pretty greasy

My crew ordered a table full of appetizers. The top two preferred by the table - the monster pretzel and the buffalo wings.Honestly - some of the best Buffalo wings I've ever had! Wish I would've ordered them individually instead of agreeing to share...

We always recommend Wynkoop Brewing as one of our go-to restaurants for when family and friends visit. It's one of the best restaurants within walking distance from Union Station. It's also a good restaurant to get a good variety of food or a change of atmosphere. Main level you've got your bar or dining area, then upstairs there's more tables and pool. Food is always great and served very quickly! All the food came out so fast our whole table was full. Only request would be for more water. We only had 1 refill on a hot summer day with tons of food, so if this happens to you don't forget to ask for more when you see your waiter/waitress!

Historic brewery with prime location downtown next to Union Station. Seating and service was quick on a Sunday night, with another couple dozen people eating/playing pool upstairs. Menu is fairly typical brewery food with a few unique options. Edamame appetizer was too spicy for the table while the pretzel was huge and tasty! Bison burger was cooked well and fries were crispy. Overall, good experience, you get what you expect and we will likely end up back here with friends again for food and/or one of the many group events that is always going on upstairs.
