Waldos Chicken And Beer

I ordered the BLT Chicken Sandwich which came with Mac and Cheese, I could have gotten Fries, but decided on Mac and Cheese, I also ordered 2 biscuits (which were rather small. The Mac and Cheese was Delicious, and he told me they make it fresh every morning. , thick and had wonderful cheddar cheese taste. The BLT Chicken Sandwich had Mayo and honey mustard with lettuce, it was on toasted bread, was also very tasty. The guy at the drive thru window was incredibly helpful, which I sincerely appreciated. This restaurant is in the Southlands shopping center, in Aurora, CO. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Went twice, because it was average and I really wanted to like it. My table was dirty with crumbs, as was the booth seating. Food was ok. Not as good as I read about in the web site. Fried chicken was very dry. Good Mac n cheese and great little cheddar biscuit.

After browsing the stands at the Southlands Farmers Market and shopping at the nearby mall, we found ourselves hungry. Rarely in the area, we were excited to see a big banner waving in the wind with big words "NOW OPEN!" and felt compelled to see what was new to the area. Waldo's Chicken and Beer- a brand spanking new spot serving southern inspired eats and variety of brews, did not disappoint. Here's why:FIRST - we entered the building to be welcomed by a friendly staff, waiting at the counter to take our order. With the menu overhead, we decided on our lunch items, snagged a number for delivery, and made our way to the vast seating area. With an expansive bar, outdoor patio, booths, and tables throughout, there is a spot for everyone and parties of every size. We picked a booth with a view of the entire place, which allowed us to soak it all in. The space is large, is decked out in southern flare and gives off a relaxed and chill vibe - the perfect spot for a weekend lunch!SECOND - The food itself is outstanding! I opted for the Fowl Mouth - a spicy fried chicken sandwich featuring habanero oil, jalapeno slaw, cheddar cheese with may and spicy sauce on a toasted bun - and OMG, YUM! The chicken was breaded perfectly (and not too heavy), the habanero oil was spicy, and the slaw created the perfect crunch - all in one bite! I opted for fries and collard greens on the side - and while the fries were nothing to write home about ( a little soggy and meh), the collard greens were savory with notes of spices and bacon! Delicious! My husband got the OG Chicken Sandwich, which he seemed to like as well. The array of sauces is noteworthy and worth a try! My husband loved the spicy Asian sauce as well as the habanero oil - because YUM! We washed it all down with freshly brewed sweet tea and house made soda - but the array of bar offerings is also worth mentioning! THIRD - Pricing is reasonable for the quality of food; service is beyond friendly, and we left with full bellies and excited to return! When in Aurora, go find WALDO!

We stopped at Waldo's at Southlands yesterday. We absolutely loved it... from the staff to the decor to the music and especially the food! It has a definite down south vibe, feels like Tennessee or Alabama which is a plus for us! The chicken strips were the best I have ever had, I LOVED the tomato cucumber salad, and the collard greens are stellar. Can't wait to try other things. We brought home half the chicken!We loved our beer too! Great selection!

Did pickup here the other night. FYI they do have a drive thru. Food was ready on time. Fries are like show string fries. Chicken was bomb. Cucumber and tomato salad was bomb. Totally coming back here when I'm the area.

We have been here about a dozen times and our last visit was not like the rest! Usually the chicken wings are plump, large and juicy. The ones we recently had were tiny, overcooked and tasteless. We were disappointed to say the least.

Fried chicken. Yum! A new place to try and boy am I glad I did. I was welcomed by the staff and clearly appeared a newbie so was offered a menu and suggestions on various menu options, sauces and sides. BBQ and Jalapeño ranch were my choices with the chicken tenders. Plus Cole slaw and then they offered a complimentary order of their biscuits. Wow, those were amazing with their honey butter. Then the chicken came. Deliciously tender and well seasoned. Fires and coleslaw great too. Staff even came by to check on us several times to make sure everything was good. Great meal! Great service!

I was searching for something delicious and unique when I stumbled upon Waldo's Chicken and Beer int the Southlands area of Aurora. Having lived in the south for 12 years before returning home to Denver, Waldo's menu sounded delicious, and they delivered.When you arrive at Waldo's you will place your order at their counter which is uniquely placed in the restaurant. They have a wide variety of chicken offerings including standard fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, and chicken fingers. They soak their chicken in buttermilk which in the south is a must. Their sides also have a good touch of the Southern recipe charm as well, including classics like mac and cheese, slaw and fries. If you are really wanting to get a taste of the south get some of the collard greens.I ordered the 1/4 chicken fried dark meat. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The fry on the chicken was just right, not over done and thick, but just right like a southern grandma would make. I had fries and collard greens as my side and I liked both, but the winner were the greens.Waldo's also has a full bar serving a hearty selection of craft brews, domestic brews and cocktails. It was a Friday night so I went for a Margarita on the rocks. The drink was well prepared and was just what I wanted. My wife ordered the Paloma and it was also done well and served in a pint glass.I was really happy with the food at Waldo's. The atmosphere is designed to be casual and fun, just like you were out on a picnic eating friend chicken in the south. In addition to the bar they also have an arcade if you like to have some family fun and play some video games.All the staff that we encountered were friendly and efficient. Check it out if you have not tried it.

The chicken strips are really good, but you need to try the white beans. No, really, trust me, I am fat. They were the best beans I've ever had. I will be back for the beans.

The food and environment were great! We had the chicken tenders and OG chicken sandwich. Would definitely recommend. Andrew was a great bartender and made great recommends. Will be back!
