Denver's RiNo Art District continues to add to its culinary hotspots, and The Greenwich 2.0 is no exception. Once known for its New American fare, the restaurant recently unveiled a new Italian menu, which blew us away! We experienced fresh, seasonal ingredients and house-made creations that elevated the traditional Italian dining experience. We arrived at The Greenwich and were seated in the main dining room, a bright space that buzzed with friendly energy. Our server Andy had stellar recommendations - he knew the new menu inside & out - he made sure we had everything we needed while we dined & we loved his energy. The first order of business: cocktails! To complement the new Italian menu, the restaurant also curated a new cocktail & wine list featuring craft creations, Italian reds, whites, and sparklings. Whether you're a seasoned Chianti drinker or a Pinot Grigio novice, the knowledgeable staff will help you find the perfect pairing. The Ibisco Margarita was made with Campo Bravo tequila blanco, Solerno Blood Orange liqueur, Frangelico, & hibiscus. Just look at that gorgeous purple - this cocktail had floral & earthy notes. The Almafi Coast was made with Family Jones gin, cucumber, & basil EVOO. This cocktail was refreshing - light & herbaceous. The Naked & Italian was made with Bozal mezcal, Aperol, Strega, & lime. This cocktail was smoky & citrusy with a delicate bitterness. We had several Piccolini dishes which stands for "little ones".The Fried Mozz was served alongside sweet garlic salsa - golden perfection with the ultimate cheese-pull we were looking for. The King Mountain Wagyu Carpaccio was made with sunchoke chips, black garlic aioli, & sunflower sprouts. This luxurious dish was stunning - I've never seen a prettier carpaccio. The House-Made Stracciatella was the gooey inside of a burrata ball served with sourdough crackers. For Insalata we had the Insalata Di Gem which is their take on a Caesar-green goddess, with croutons & tarragon. This salad featured crisp romaine with a bright and creamy dressing & croutons for texture. No Italian meal is complete without pizza, and The Greenwich 2.0 did not disappoint. We opted for the Calabrese & Hot Honey Pizza, a delightful combination of thinly sliced Calabrese sausage, spicy tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella, & red onion. The thin, crispy crust was the perfect base for this flavorful and slightly spicy pizza. We couldn't get enough of the hot honey drizzled on each bite. For Piatto Grande we had the Famous Greenwich Roasted Chicken which was a half a 3 lb. chicken with lemon-caper sauce and served with Jacob's Mushrooms & pistachio-garlic crunch. This chicken stayed on The Greenwich's menu for a reason - it was so succulent. For dessert we had the cheesecake and torta. The Greenwich Cheesecake was made with a graham cracker crust, olive oil, & sea salt. The Torta Caprese was a a brownie-like, flourless chocolate cake with whipped crème fraîche & hazelnuts.Buon appetito!

The meatball + polenta is very goodThe Negroni is also superb. But they didn't mention there will be 20% mandatory tips, wasn't written anywhere and wasn't told. Service was also not up to par.I drive for Lyft and Uber and people rarely leave tips. This restaurant has the gut to put mandatory tips is really beyond my imagination. Mandatory tips is theft

Such a cute NYC inspired pizza & tapas restaurant. We were seated outside at a small 2 person table. The waiter recommended a handful of dishes which made it hard to decide what to order. Everything sounded delish. We opted for the stracciatella small plate, clams & fregola pasta, the calabrese & hot honey pizza, and the cheesecake. Everything had great flavor, a little on the saltier side but still flavorful. The pizza was our favorite. The sourdough crust, thinly sliced sausage, and hot honey was a great combination. I wasn't overly impressed with the pasta but it was a nice addition to our meal. The prices are on the higher side with 20% service fee included. They did charge for soft drink refills - $8 for 2 glasses of Diet Coke seems crazy. Overall, a great place for a group dinner or date night. I'd like to come back to try their chicken piccata or happy hour!

We dined here a month ago and I've been stewing about my review ever since. Julep, the original in this space, built a nice bar with a large kitchen and great food. The Greenwich is still a nice bar, but the kitchen is wasted on a place with delusions of grandeur and a failure of execution. We arrived fairly early, but the space filled up quickly. Perhaps it was a bit more crowded than usual because it was raining and the large patio could not be used. Most people were ordering drinks or drinks and bar snacks. They appeared to be satisfied. We came for dinner and had a different experience. We started off well with an excellent glass of wine and a well-made negroni. Things went downhill fast. We ordered the Gem salad, a Caesar variant with green goddess dressing. The salad came to the table in precisely 15 seconds after ordering. It had clearly been sitting in the refrigerator for hours, if not overnight. The dressing and greens were stale and the croutons were soggy. Ick. We did not complain. What would have been the point? No legitimate restaurant would do something like this. I've had better salads at fast food restaurants. A month later and I'm still outraged. We carried on with "Jersey Ernie's" meatballs which seemed to be something of a specialty. They were adequate. There were hard lumps of something in the meatballs that had not been ground properly. The brown-butter polenta had a very odd consistency. I'd guess a combination of insufficient whisking and cooking too quickly. Sigh. We're gluttons for punishment and were still hungry so we ordered the Greenwich cheesecake. This wasn't bad, but would have been so much better if it wasn't served ice cold, straight out of the refrigerator.I don't know what happened here. The photos on the restaurant's Web site, on Yelp, and on Google show what is clearly far superior food. We didn't receive much of it. Did the chef quit that morning? Something was up, but I can only review what I was served. Service was good, the drinks were good, the space is nice--if a bit noisy, and there's a great patio when it isn't raining. Again, I'd recommend sticking to drinks and snacks until they get their kitchen sorted out.

Best. Meatballs. Ever!!!!Ambiance was cozy. It's a trendy Italian eatery that also has a bar and offers a happy hour menu!We ordered the mushroom pizza and the meatballs off the happy hour menu. The pizza didn't blow us away.. we thought the crust was a little too dry. But the meatballs! Omg. They were so juicy and flavorful that we got a second order! Our server was great and very attentive! Overall I would recommend having a meal here!

We had a great first visit to The Greenwich with a group of six last night. It was like dining in NYC right in RiNo.Having been opened for three years, chef Delores Tronco is the visionary behind Greenwich.Walking up the walkway to the restaurant, you'll see some amazing murals of people and sites synonymous with NYC.The two level restaurant is an artistic wonder inside. It projects a very cool vibe. The New American cuisine is exemplary. This is like a farm to table restaurant taken to the next level. Expect to be wowed by the unique ingredients used. Many reviews have complimented the high touch service you'll expect. Michael was a super host who made sure we had a great dining experience.Much of the menu is designed to be shared, plus there are some large entrees to choose from. The craft cocktails and decadent dessert complete an amazing meal. The sourdough pizza baked in a wood-fired oven, with some creative toppings, is what you'd experience in a top notch NYC pie shop. It may be the best pizza in Denver. Some of our favorites from the starter section included the Fresh Bread and Butter, Hawayek-spiced Lamb Meatballs, Thrice-Cooked Potatoes and Stracciatella. The White Pizza and Golden Filetti Pizza were perfectly prepared and very authentic. The Lemon Roasted Half Chicken was juicy and oh so flavorful. A very unique preparation. The Basque style Greenwich Cheesecake and the Prickly Pear Bavarian were yummy deserts to finish our meal.A small thing I appreciated was bringing new share plates throughout the meal. Many restaurants have you mixing course after course on the same plate.I was also impressed by the pacing of the whole meal. We ordered only a few items at a time and they were served with amazing speed.I hope you have an experience equal to our meal!

Great ambiance, amazing wine list!Cheesecake: 3/10 my friend and I both thought it tasted lemony and burnt and weren't big fansPizza: 7/10 dough was a bit soggy but other than that flavors were greatHamachi Crudo: 3/10 Honestly the flavors just didn't go well together for me, the sauce was amazing but the topping was too sweet and grapefruit was very bitter so the combo just didn't pair wellHalf chicken: 10/10 absolutely amazing, would eat this every day and never get sick of it. The sauce was insane the CRISP on the chicken ohhh my god Service: 1000/10 our server was so incredibly on top of it, we had an amazing time To wrap up, some things on the menu were meh but there are some gems and the wine selection and atmosphere were great

Came here for Valentine's Day dinner and it did not disappoint! Walking in, the space felt really chic and cozy. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful throughout the evening. We started off with drinks and I was excited to see a couple of zero proof options on the menu. I ended up trying one of each because they were really good! For food we ordered the bread and butter, thrice cooked potatoes, the pesto pizza, and the short ribs. They ask that you order everything at once and the food the comes spaced out. Everything came out in a timely manner. The bread was nice and crunchy on the outside and we loved the turmeric butter. Next came the potatoes and those are a must order. They were so crispy and the romesco sauce was absolutely delicious, my husband and I were scraping it off with spoons at the end. Next came the pesto and burrata pizza. My husband didn't care for the squash on it but that wasn't a big deal since I ate it. The crust on the pizza was perfection. Finally came the short ribs. The sauce was amazing and the texture of the short ribs was perfection. Highly recommend The Greenwich for a date night! The food and drinks are top notch and everything was so reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back!

The Greenwich has become our go-to gem in Denver. Whether it's for ringing in the New Year, celebrating birthdays, or just capping off a hectic week, this is the spot we tell everyone about. One must-have is the white pizza paired with their house-made hot sauce--though we still miss the green version, the red hot sauce definitely holds its own!Just last night, we brought some old friends who were visiting from out of town and used to come here all the time with us when they lived here. We kicked things off with the fresh bread and turmeric butter (absolutely stellar), the 'simple' salad, and the crispy Colorado kale, which totally reminded us of kale chips. For our mains, we dove into the usuals: the white pizza, roasted half chicken that's always flawlessly tender and crispy-skinned, and the braised short ribs that literally fall off the bone.We also grabbed the roasted broccolini and thrice-cooked potatoes on the side. Those potatoes are always a hit, but I confess I've never actually tried the broccolini here, even though broccolini is my favorite veg--I get too caught up in the ambiance and good vibes, conversation, and drinks, and before I know it, they're gone. But, no complaints, the fun we have here more than makes up for it.The highlight of our evening was definitely our server, McKenna. The whole team at The Greenwich is fantastic, but McKenna really stands out. She's super bubbly and goes the extra mile, especially with my husband who has recently discovered a laundry list of food allergies after being ill for a decade. McKenna took it all in stride, helping us navigate the menu with ease and making adjustments as needed. She took the time to mark up a menu with what was safe and what could be modified with sauces and garnishes on the side. Absolutely incredible. It was the best dining experience we've probably ever had. Ever. So great, in fact, that we made another reservation for tonight with some other friends coming in from out of town and requested to sit in her section. Big thanks to McKenna, and big thanks to Delores for assembling such a standout team. And a massive shoutout to everyone at The Greenwich for consistently being a step above the rest. You remain our favorite, hands down!
