"I love Kenji because they have great sushi, great service, and there is never a wait! They have a great menu with tons of roll and other options. It's a great casual sushi spot and always hits the spot!"
"My friend and I decided to get dinner at this low-key looking sushi restaurant. Upon entering, the interior was also very unassuming. However, you should never judge a book by its cover, and you should never judge a restaurant by its decor and exterior. To start off this review, I want to say that THIS PLACE SERVES REAL WASABI. Nearly all sushi restaurants serve fake wasabi constituted from horseradish. The last notable sushi experience I had that came with real wasabi also came with a three digit bill. But this place doesn't charge an arm and a leg for their sushi! In regards to the sushi itself, it was extremely good! Each piece of sushi was extremely well-crafted. Nothing was falling apart, and everything was cut to identical dimensions. The sushi tasted fresh, and the proportion of rice to fish was perfect. Even pedestrian rolls were made with care, like my California roll, which was packed full of crab salad filling.Overall, I Love Sushi & Poke serves up excellent high-quality sushi with REAL WASABI for rock bottom prices! I urge all sushi aficionados to try this place out!"

"Our party of four dined upstairs, and thought the ambiance was pleasant and not too lout. Overall, we had a great dinner and great service. We tried a wide variety of dishes, and were very happy with our selections which included:* Salmon Sashimi 7pcs: $27* Shumai steamed shrimp dumplings: $9.50* Edamame lightly salted soybeans: $7* Ginger Pork Gyoza - Hapa's pork potstickers with a spicy soy sauce: $9.50* The Big Kahuna -Hamachi, negi, cucumber, and avocado inside, topped with salmon, tuna, jalapeño, yuzu miso and wakame chazuke: $22* Karaage Sliders - Japanese-style fried chicken nestled in Hawaiian sweetbread, topped with Asian slaw and zesty spicy mayo. $12The sliders received rave reviews, and the potstickers were nicely executed. The salmon sashimi was good, though I thought they were pricey for the portion at $27. The Big Kahuna roll was also tasty, we would order that again. We would definitely return the next time we're in Denver."
"I have been craving surf n turf sushi ever since I tried it at Sprouts. I heard this place had it and wanted to try it fresh. I walked into a completely empty restaurant and I had to ask if they were open. They were fully staffed but no customers. It was nice to have the restaurant to myself to take pictures of my menu and food without other people looking, however. I started with the Kani Poppers. They were AMAZING! I love the crisp of the crust and the crunch of the jalapeños. The cream cheese added some creaminess to the mix and the sauce on top added the sweetness that tied all of the flavors together. It was a well balanced and filling appetizer. Of course for my entree I got the Surf n Turf Roll. I must say I expected a lot more flavor wise. The flavor of the filet mignon on top fell flat, and they stuffed the roll with a lot of avocado which I am not a fan of but I don't mind in sushi because usually there is only a small amount. The cold roll that I bought at Sprouts was way better and a lot more affordable which was disappointing to me. I will have to keep looking for a better surf n turf roll in Denver. I will say the service was good and the staff was friendly."
"3.5 stars. Met a friend here for lunch one day, though parking wasn't any easier in this neighborhood on a weekday afternoon. Service was great, but the experience overall wasn't very memorable. I'm sure the fish was fresh, but what really stood out was the fish:rice ratio as shown by photos of their sushi. Generous portions for a reasonable price, which is even better at lunch. On that note, check out their lunch specials specifically. Okinawa seems less busy than nearby restaurants so it's an obvious choice in terms of wait and crowd. Or just get it to-go or delivered. Can't remember what exactly I ordered but enjoyed the variety in types of rolls and fish. Humble little spot right on Tennyson. Worthy contender for "everyday sushi" in Denver."
"We came here right before the dinner rush and after the lunch rush so there were two groups dining in. The sushi we ordered was really tasty. We ordered a variety of options so we got a little bit of California, avocados, unagi, and an assortment of fishes that came with our sushi order. The sushi did not taste frozen and there was a good ratio of rice and filling. It was not overpowering with rice that you would feel full immediately but just enough to enough in one bite. The staff was friendly and nice. There are plenty of tables and parking spots. It's a lovely sushi spot in Colorado."
"This is a great little spot! I came here for lunch and ate at the counter. The fish is all very high quality and fresh. They make rolls that you eat by hand which is different. I enjoyed the yellowtail, blue crab and spicy tuna rolls. I also had some sashimi and it was delicious. Great miso soup. Service was friendly and food came out in a reasonable timeframe. Prices are reasonable given the high quality. I would definitely come back!"
"We stopped in tonight for a birthday dinner with six of us. I have always enjoyed this place but have not been there since covid. This was a fabulous dinner experience and we are all glad we choose this restaurant. The colorful lights and fish pond is a nice view when you enter the building. The spiral staircase up to the dining room is unique and very cool. It's very attractive and wives a wonderful feel to the experience. We were seated immediately and our server was a wonderful names QiQi. She was fun, friendly, helpful, prompt and downright spunky. She is a fabulous server that really made our dining experience all that much better. She is upbeat and chatty and we all loved her. The decor inside the restaurant is fascinating and fun to look at. They did a great job with the Japanese decor. Now, of course, no review would be complete without discussing the food. Wow, covers it. We had everything from pineapple saki, hot saki, egg rolls, seafood teriyaki, shrimp fried rice, veggie lo mein and a few meals I can't spell. They were hot, freshly made, well presented and delicious. This dinner was worth every dime we paid for it and we will gladly return in the near future. Thank you QiQi for making this birthday dinner a complete success. Ps. We received a free warm Saki as a check in bonus."
"This spring we summited the sushi world with an omakase at Michelin-starred Udatsu Sushi in Tokyo. Since then we've bounced from restaurant in restaurant in our hometown of Chicago trying in vain to equal the experience. Maybe Nozomi isn't Udatsu, but the quality, presentation and service was as good--if not better--than any of our Chicago go-to's. We worked our way though some incredible sashimi and nigiri--the black cod was out-of-this world--before wrapping up with a couple makis. Service was impeccable. Denver, I hope you know how good you've got it!"

Parking around the place is free and you can park in the back.I must say the miso is amazing. Very rich in taste. Got a boat of sushi. Red snapper, yellow tail, salmon, shrimp, and a dragon roll. While the sushi is good the service not so much. The lady forgot to put in for the noodles, never came to check on our table. Never refilled my tea, I had to track her down. Spilled all over the table and did a crappy wipe up of it. Disappointed in the service. No apologies for not ordering the noodles or spilling on the tableI like the inside clean, fish tank in the corner. Great music to eat to

Taki has been a solid choice for years. I hadn't been in to the actual restaurant in a while because we usually do takeout but the kiddo was hungry after school and we realized we'd never been in person with him!He was impressed with the freshness of his Avacado rolls and salmon nigiri. We also splurged and got the fried Icecream, another first and delicious!Service was friendly and prompt, we will be back for sure!

We stopped by because of their happy hour, I loved the menu that they had. I got a shrimp tempura roll and also a deep fried avocado dish that had crab meat and spicy tuna inside which was very yummy! We also had the chicken skewer and dumplings that were also good. If I ever come back to visit Denver, I defiantly will be coming here again

Delicious sushi! We came here on a whim before a open bar holiday party. Mostly because we found parking right in front of the restaurant and we were open to eating wherever. I'm glad the Tennyson Street parking gods chose this place for us. All the rolls were good but my favorite was the Shrek roll. It was amazingly good and yes it was green. Service was fast and friendly. They took us right away despite not having a reservation. A lot of people ordered take out while we were there. But that didn't seem to slow down the service. I definitely want to come back and try more rolls - maybe the location in Golden.

Decided on trying Okinawa Sushi based off the pictures and reviews. I ordered take out for Tri-Color Sushi with a salad and one order of edamame. Tri Color Sushi: 2 pieces of tuna, 2 pieces of salmon, 2 pieces of yellowtail and a magic roll. Served with choice of side. It was delicious, everything tasted fresh and it was nice variety. I will try the miso soup next time instead of the salad. Not a fan of the dressing. Can't say how the edamame was because they forgot to send it, but they did charge for it. Overall, a great place to grab some sushi!

Recently had an opportunity to try Cherry Hills Sushi. This was like stepping in to a shop in Japan for a simple but delicious meal. The service was fast, meals were simple and easy to understand, the food was delicious! I would definitely come back here for a meal again.
Visit Restaurant Page"Solid 4 star and so far the best sushi I've found in Colorado! Better thsn Sushi Den. Ok, so why the 4 star not a 5 star? The reason is because I have Southern California standards. There's amazing sushi in So Cal, and down there this place could hold its own as a good spot but not as one of the top spots. But so far it's the top spot in Colorado and it's definitely good.I will continue to try and find better but also I may return because I've tried 10+ and this is ghe best out of those. The ambiance is nice for being in a little strip mall, nothing super upscale but nice and medium sized. The service was good, tge waiter was nice. The presentation of the food was really good.So far this is my only real foodie recommendation for sushi, but again by So Cal standards is a B rating- hence the 4 stars.Happy eating."
"Beautiful, delicious sushi!Osaka Sushi is a huge winner in the sushi department for having an amazing selection of rolls, reasonable prices, beautiful presentation, and awesome desserts!Had the opportunity to finally check out Osaka Sushi after a friend of mine raved so much about it. I may be weird, but I actually love fruit in or on top of my sushi so whenever I'm at a new sushi place I scan the menu for a) rolls with any fruit like mango, strawberry, or kiwi, b) spicy rolls with spicy salmon or tuna, and then c) tempura rolls. Osaka Sushi has a great selection and some very unique rolls as well. I ordered the tropicana roll and ichiban roll which satisfied my fruity and spicy sushi cravings, respectively. The tropicana roll is one of their newer rolls and includes shrimp tempura, crab meat, cucumber, kiwi, kiwi sauce, tempura flakes, and red tobiko. The ichiban roll is shrimp tempura & crab meat topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, and sweet eel sauce. My friends ordered the avalanche roll, oh baby roll, and two others that I don't remember the name of. The avalanche has baked salmon, crab, shrimp tempura. Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved the ichiban, tropicana, and avalanches rolls! The two other rolls I tried were also great. Despite being fairly full, of course we had to try dessert.I ordered the berry paradise cheesecake, while our friends had the tempura ice cream and creme brulee. All of the desserts were beautifully presented, with beautiful plate art. Not only beautiful, but they were also delicious. I love the care in the presentation that Osaka delivers for both their sushi and desserts!Friendly staff, plenty of seating. Five stars! Definitely one of my favorite sushi restaurants - wish it was closer!"
"You can find this omakase experience in the Denver highlands...Sushi Ronin is a Japanese eatery & bar featuring artistic presentations of fresh fish in modern Asian style surroundings. We enjoyed omakase here for dinner & absolutely loved it.We arrived at Sushi Ronin and were seated at the sushi bar. Marin, Ethan, & Larry were the masters behind the sushi and it was awesome to see these sushi chefs at work. All three of them were so fun and attentive during our dinner service. Manager, Ida ensured our meal ran smoothly and checked in periodically. For cocktails I started with the seasonal, Pineapple Express made with vodka, gin, basil, simply syrup, & yuzhu. The Pineapple Express was vibrant green in color and refreshing in taste. For dinner we did the 'Ronin Omakase' which was the culinary experience left up to the chef. The omakase is always changing and is a dine-in only option. I highly recommend trusting the chef and partaking in omakase. Our omakase experience began with a palate cleanser - the Mandarin Elixir. The Chutoro Crudo was made with mid belly bluefin tuna, pomegranate zu, dragonfruit, golden beets, lemon zest, maldon salt, and micro chives. The dish itself was a gorgeous kaleidoscope of colors. The mid belly bluefin tuna offered a luxurious texture without being overly fatty. The smooth, buttery taste of the tuna went well with the sweet pop of the pomegranate and the mild earthiness of the golden beets. The Mukozuke was the Chef's choice sashimi accompanied by wasabi yuzhu, chive oil, chili crisp, rice puffs, chili threads, & pea shoots. The presentation of the Mukozuke was stunning. The sashimi was so fresh; I loved the texture variation of the smooth fish against the delicate crunch of the rice puffs.I enjoyed chilled sake with the rest of dinner. The Bluefin Tuna Flight included sashimi pieces from fatty to lean. The otoro tuna sashimi featured intense fat marbling which resulted in rich flavoring (far left). The leanest tuna was very low in fat and had a striking red color (far right). The Salmon Nigiri Flight included fresh Scottish salmon, New Zealand salmon, Tasmanian salmon, and seared Scottish salmon. The nigiri flight was exceptional. The New Zealand salmon was balanced and herbal. The Tasmanian was light & clean. The seared Scottish salmon was my favorite - it melted in my mouth with a gorgeous richness. The Canadian Crab sushi pieces were topped with black caviar & garlic butter. The lump crab was sweet with tender chew and the crown of black caviar really took this sushi piece to the next level. The Itovori, Threadfin Bream and Hiramasa, Greater Amberjack were served on ice.The Scallop nigiri was complemented by olive oil. The scallop was excellent - sweet & mild in flavor. The Godzilla roll was made with tempura shrimp, avocado, seared NY strip, and black garlic butter. Larry fired up this roll and we could see why it's one of Sushi Ronin's most popular. The Matcha Trifle was a Japanese take on Tiramisu - lovely in looks & taste."
"Nicely designed restaurant in The Source Hotel. Great ambiance and atmosphere - incredible food and sushi Service is impeccable as the bar tenders are all friendly and super knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Would highly recommend for sushi in Denver"
"I must admit, I was skeptical before I tried Ooka. Their menu is HUGE and includes Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and all sorts of asian fusion. It makes you wonder what their real specialty is, but turns out, they do everything surprisingly well! Here's a few things I've ordered, all of which I have liked: - Sesame chicken (with white rice and steamed broccoli) - Dynamite Roll- Las Vegas Roll - yellowtail sushi- salmon sushi- potstickers - gyoza- veggie tempura- Thai Iced Tea I really haven't been disappointed by anything. You really can't go wrong with the sesame chicken, it's a great balance of light and crispy batter, tangy sauce with a little kick, and tender chicken within (though the broccoli could be steamed better). The dynamite roll is also, well, dynamite. It's a special roll with deep fried spicy salmon/eel/cream cheese combo. Great combo of sweet and spicy with a nice texture. The Las Vegas roll is also top shelf, which is lobster tempura, eel, cucumber, avocado within, and spicy scallops & mango on top. Again a really strong compliment of flavors and textures. I wouldn't call it my favorite sushi place in town (it's currently #2 but potential to take #1), but it is certainly my top overall "Asian" option. With so many options and consistency in taste + quality, I applaud the effort here and say keep it up!"
"This place is among my top 5s in Denver! Brought a few out of town vegetarian friends here for dinner and the green machine was the highlight of our dinner. We ordered 3 of these! Veggie tempura was pretty good and so crispy yet not oily! The matcha panna cotta here is a great dessert and never disappoints! Service has always been so great out here."
"So found this place on IG and of course IG made it seem like we HAD to eat this place. For some reason IG keeps disappointing me. So and away we went. To be fair I wasn't 100% disappointed. It was in a cool location minus quite a bit of tweekers shooting up in front of my kid or asking us for money every few minutes, it's actually in a prime location after dark. So it's on a corner lot and when we showed up it was not busy at all maybe a few patrons in the whole place and the whole place I would say is very small. There is maybe 10 tables and then a wrap around table thing that wraps around the sushi conveyor belt that you can grab what you want. We walked in and initial greeted and sat where we wanted to we decided we wanted to sit in front of the conveyor to get the full experience. We got our menus and began choosing what type of broth we wanted for our hot pot. I will say we waited a good 10 mins before our server even came for our drinks and the whole thing. I honestly think he was the only server. So if you come keep that in mind and just be patient. He's super nice. They did bring us water while we waited for him. But while we waited we began helping ourselves to the sushi conveyor belt thing which was cool and good. So our waiter came and took our orders. FYI if only one person wants the wagyu meal all must get it regardless. So we went with the regular meat selection because we didn't want to pay 50 bucks a person times 3 for only me wanting wagyu. So I ordered the spiciest broth, which honestly wasn't spicy at all but was still very delicious. The meats we ordered were brisket, bottom round and lamb. All were very good. Our favorite was the brisket. Very good cuts! Then he asked us what sashimi we wanted and tbh I can't remember the name but it was white tail something and I have NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER ate raw fish before and I LOOOOOVED it. Found a new food I love! They also make you each per person whatever sushi roll you like besides the ones that come around in that conveyor belt. After we placed our order we got up to make our plates that we want to cook in our broth. This is where I was a bit disappointed. There wasn't much of a selection to make your dipping sauce and not much of a selection for cooking in your broth. There was some veggies and some other like fish and shellfish stuff and dumplings and noodles. But nothing like were use to at other hot pots. I'm more of a veggie girl so I was disappointed when a few of my favorite veggies I like at hot pots weren't there. It didn't ruin my night I still made the best of it because it was still a fun experience. Through the conveyor belt I did eat a ton of the green seaweed that's my freaking favorite. And as one of the alcoholic drinks I drank this peach saki which I could have drank like water because it was so freaking good!!! I highly recommend getting it you go. Overall the experience is cool and the area is totally horrible and if you're okay with a wait for your server it's worth it. For our meal we paid 39.99 a person which isn't bad for what all we got. I would go back again for sure."
"I love Pokeworks! It is a chain and I first found out about it when I lived in the DMV. When I saw they had a location in DTC I had to check it out. When I visited I was helped right away and the staff were friendly. I did the create your own bowl and all of the ingredients inside of my bowl were fresh! My go to order if you want to replicate and like spicy is: half brown rice, half greens, spicy tuna for protein and/or spicy salmon, cucumbers, sweet onions, cabbage, sweet corn, edamame, serrano peppers, pokeworks classic and sriracha aioli, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, with ginger on the side.So delicious!"
"The food was exactly as expected; hot and fresh as it should be. The service also was fast and super friendly. The price is right for the right food and service. Dining hall was clean and well organized. A lot of people carry-out here (since the tables are mostly filled?) The food is good but it's a bit pricey. Overall, we may or may not come here again since it's pricey; and there are other Ramen options close by to this location."
"Food, service, and cocktails here are great. This is my go-to sushi spot. Their crispy tuna appetizer and lemon salmon rolls are my favorites. My only qualm is I wish they offered green tea with their beverages, I'm not a fan of Barley tea."
"The food! The sushi was nice and flavorful and just the right amount. The ramen!!!!!! Yes, i'm screaming because it was that good-too 3 in Denver periodddd"
"Was such a great find. Just a few miles from downtown Evergreen so you won't have to struggle finding parking. The menu has everything you need after a long day of exploring. The food is very flavorful and made to order so takes a little while but it's definitely expected. Medium level of spice was perfect for me but you can even go one level up if you like your food really hot. Very small and simple inside but it's perfect for lunch. 10/10 if you are craving some Thai food!"
"Go Fish has stood the test of time and has proven to be a reliable spot for sushi. Prices are right with no rolls over $20. You never leave here hungry.I've never strayed away from the sushi. They do have appetizers, kitchen items like fried rice and tempura dishes, and desserts. I've always been in a sushi mood here. They do have a vegetarian/vegan menu as well! And to be honest, we've never been disappointed. Here are the specialty rolls I ordered last time we dined in a few weeks back.+Fantasy Roll // spicy salmon, crunch, masago, avocado, mango, topped with seared togarashi salmon and white tuna, crispy rice puff, eel sauce, wasabi mayo.+Triple X Roll // spicy yellowtail, spicy tuna, crunch, jalapeño, topped with seared tuna, garlic chips, eel sauce, house sauce.Dependable sushi here at Go Fish. It's right on the main drag of Broadway on a lively corner, so expect to see some type of action while you're here. Once you're inside, you'll be taken care of. Weather permitting, sit outside on the patio!"
"While at Zeppelin Station, I was drawn in by these unique sushi rolls. I had a hard time deciding what to get, but ended up going with the Maui Wowie Roll. It was delicious and a pretty big roll. I Ioved the unique ingredients like goat cheese that they use. There were so many other rolls I wanted to try so I would definitely come back to try more."
"After my sister's fitness competition, she was READY TO EAT (and so was I)... So I randomly found Zen Asian Bistro about 9 min away from where her show was taking place, and we sped over there as fast as we could! The reason I chose this place is because they offer up SALMON SKIN and HAMACHI KAMA. Now how did everything taste when we plowed through:- 2 hamachi kamas- 9 salmon skin Handrolls (no rice)- 2 orders of salmon sashimi- 1 order of white tuna sashimi - 1 naruto roll- 1 order of pad Thai TERRIFIC!!!! But seriously. Amazing! I would maybe liked a tiny bit bigger salmon skin Handrolls but that's just because I'm a glutton for salmon skin. But really everything was perfect! I can't complain at all!"
"We've been here twice now for happy hour, the food is incredible and the service is super friendly. The nigiri pieces are really well prepared (with warm rice of course) and the 2 fancier rolls they have (the butter one and the spicy one) are amazing."
"Wonderful service, great prices, and delicious fresh sushi! I have nothing but good things to say, and I love that they put all your sushi in a boat if you order enough! Sushi Harbor doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that stop you. Definitely give this place a try next time you're in the area!"
"Hana Matsuri is still easily a five star experience, 6 years later. We love Hana Matsuri. Why, you may ask? Many of the same reasons as originally shared. - Quality: we've never had a bad experience, food wise. Sushi has a shelf life, of course, and if you're not astute, it shows. - Service: wait staff are incredibly attentive, as if they just opened and are happy to see anyone walking through the doors. Attention to detail cannot be faked. - Affordability: Hana isn't cheap, but you will pay for quality fish, well made rolls, incredible flavor combinations and variety. You will NOT pay for downtown Denver prices but you'll get the same experience. Are you a sushi lover or think you might be? Never had sushi? Hana is your place. Don't ruin the experience when Hani is waiting."
"We dined at Sushi Sasa for a friend's 40th birthday. The service was absolutely perfect. From the host to paying everything went really smoothly. We got several dishes and everything was delicious. My favorite was the hamachi jalapeno. Such an amazing dish with cherry tomatoes and delicious ponzu sauce. The prices are a bit high but great spot for any special occasion."
"This is some of the best sushi you're going to find in Denver. The quality and freshness of the fish is exceptional, even reminding me of some of my favorite west coast sushi joints. The bluefin tuna tasted like the ocean, which previously I only thought possible when eating sushi on the west coast. The size of the rolls and handrolls are substantial, so you can get full eating here and spend very little relative to other sushi places. The ambience here awesome. It's a really tiny place, seems like they can fit at most 20 people. It smells and looks great in there, and during the evening they have nice dim lighting. The sushi chef and the rest of the staff are very nice and attentive. It's a great experience eating here. And it's the kind of place you can come anytime without reservations (still very little people know about this place, not sure why). They also offer delivery which is definitely something I'll take them up on at some point. If you're familiar with Sushi Sasa downtown, I think this has the same owner and the food is similar. I would say though that this place edges out Sushi Sasa slightly because the fish tasted fresher and the rice was warm right out of the rice cooker. I've ate at all the sushi institutions around (Sushi Den, Uchi, Matsuhisa, Temaki Den, Makizushico, etc) and this is legitimately right up there with all of them."
