Cool store, friendly service and nice selection of European specialty items that you won't find elsewhere. Picked up some tea and sweet goodies that I can't wait to try. It's the place to come for breads, meats, chocolate, and other odds and ends. Thanks for the suggestions and for being helpful.Try the individually wrapped chocolate covered marshmallow treats. They are so good.

FOX NEWS!!! FOX NEWS!! I like to support local businesses, but each time I was at Solomon Market (twice), the guy behind the counter had a TV loudly blaring the incendiary garbage of Fox News. If this guy wants to feed on conspiracies and lies, he should at least do it in private, and not subject his customers to such awful trash. Never going back.

The folks at Solomon's Grocery and European Deli want you to come up and see them sometime. No, really! And you don't have to peel grapes for them either. The Bukharian (no, not Bulgarian - you're thinking of East Europe Market off of Colorado Boulevard) owners of this spacious shop (in a Havana strip mall prominently anchored by a bingo hall) are here to confound and astound you with their merchandise. Dark rye breads, rich with flavor! Stunning Russian sodas (I like the medicinal-tasting cola called Baikal and the tarragon-flavored Tarkhun, although the clerk I spoke to told me she's not a big fan of that last one). Elegant salads (maybe a potatoey Olivie or beety Vinegret is calling out to you?) You will find savories and sweets from the whole swath of Eastern Europe, and further afield, beckoning you. And then, just when you thought it couldn't get any better, you can pop a few doors down and treat yourself to an Ethiopian nosh at Nile (see my previous review)! Really, how can you say "no"?

So first off, I only really come here for one thing, and that is chicken liver pate. They have a good one in the deli case, and you can get a pound of it for around $5.00. However, since they do have a $10.00 minimum for credit card, I usually also pick up some rye bread and maybe some rugalach. The bread comes from Germany and is baked in-house. I have no idea where the rugalach comes from. Both the bread and rugalach are great, and reminiscent of an afternoon at your Eastern European grandmother's house. Be aware that the liver pate does not keep too well, so be committed to eating a lot of liver pate over two days or so. Those are days I hope I do not get gout. They have a lot of European stuff, but I have not really tried most of the products. I like this place. They have the specific item that I want at a reasonable price, so 4 stars.

Stopped into the store on a whim and was super surprised. Purchased some loose tea and the quality was amazing. The fruit teas smell and taste amazing. Very curious to try the breads, jams, preserves and pastries. The guy at the counter was super nice and friendly. Maybe I will find some Czech items. Will definitely be coming back!

The worst customer service ever. If you do not speak in Russian, they'll never answer your question nicely.

Seems like a nice place, looks like it has interesting items, I will never know if that's truly so. Yelp says they are open at 9am. When I got there their door says they open 10am. A common Yelp vs business inconsistency but still here's ONE star for wasting the customer's time. Careless mistake that would take them a couple of minutes to correct by updating their hours of operation.

Came back here around a week later, around 7:35PM, but they were already closed. The closing time should be 8PM. I understand you want to be home early, but it was just disappointing.
