Came in here last night for dinner and really glad we checked it out! The restaurant is nicely decorated & ample seating. Our server Nikki was excellent, she was attentive and so nice. She was also able to make suggestions on the menu. Started with their Bruschetta Sampler - you pick 3 and there were about 6 options I think. BlackBerry was really good, almost a dessert. The mushroom and sausage was excellent but the winner was the classic tomato bruschetta. It's soo good! I had the chicken piccata with Alfredo and broccolini. The chicken was a little bit dry, but the flavors were really good. The broccolini was so delicious, buttery and garlic. The lasagna was good flavors and just a traditional lasagna which is what we were looking for. The portions are kind of small for the prices in my opinion but probably traditional Italian dish sizes. For dessert, I couldn't decide between the chocolate mousse and the tiramisu. Loved the tiramisu, it was perfect and so good!! The chocolate mousse was not my favorite and I definitely wouldn't order again. The flavor profile just wasn't there for me, and I was expecting a more traditional mousse. This was a hard shell, with white chocolate (I think) layer, a small layer of the chocolate mousse and a layer of cake. Overall, it was a nice dinner and a great restaurant to check out! Will be back again.

We've been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened. It was previously a Perkin's and had been closed for quite a while. Our server was absolutely wonderful and offered her take on different items on the menu. I decided to go with the ravioli and I'm so glad I did because it was great! The balsamic was a nice touch! My wife played it safe and ordered the spaghetti bolognese which was equally as tasty. We will definitely be back to try a few other dishes in the menu in the future. This restaurant is a tad pricey but not too bad. One thumb up and a high five for Scalzotto's! Happy eating, my foodies!

Our family came here on a Saturday night around 6:30 PM under a reservation for my husband's birthday. This was our first time trying this restaurant. The reservation system was easy and wide open even a day before. The outside is somewhat plain, and the entrance is through a hotel parking lot. We took a mostly full parking lot as a good sign we chose a decent spot to eat. Upon entering, we noticed the decor was certainly better than expected from the outside impression. We arrived around 6:25 and let the host know we had a reservation. The host looked around for any open table, and we were sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant. If I make a reservation ahead of time, I do have an expectation that the restaurant will take extra measures to set aside a table in a desirable location rather than shuffle us into the middle for an open table usually for walk ins. This was a big miss for food customer service. We were greeted after about 10 minutes later by our server Erin. At first, Erin was engaged and explained some of the family history with the Scolzotto restaurants in the area. She also made a point of saying the pasta is made in house. The greeting was excellent, but that was the end of any sort of excellent service. We ordered two cocktails, one beer that may or may not be in stock, and a soda. We were ready to do our two appetizers as well, but Erin rushed off. Another fifteen minutes later, Erin returns to say she apologizes about the drinks, but the soda needed to be changed and she was incapable of lifting it herself. She also said the bar was backed up. She did give us three instead of four waters. She did not ask about appetizers and rushed off after her message so we didn't get to put them in then either. Another five minutes later, she dropped off the two cocktails and the backup beer selection but no soda yet. While putting them down we let her know we would like the two appetizers, and she then abruptly rushed off again before we could put our order in. Another 10 minutes go by, and we get our soda and as she is already behind us I say that we are ready to order. As we are ordering, I ask if I can sub out a salad for my side. Her response is that the kitchen is really busy back there and she doesn't want to make them mad. If we sub for a salad it will probably confuse them, and she didn't want them mad at her. Sort of a bizarre response. She knew this was our first time here from the greeting and history she gave us, but there was no sort of explanation of how it really worked with sides and pasta choices. Not a big deal to do the broccolini but it was a bizarre response from Erin. She seemed a little irritated that we didn't understand the cadence of ordering, which isn't really standard at others Italian places. We finally get our order in, and she brings a basket of bread and olive oil. We did ask for some balsamic to go with it which enhanced the taste. Our appetizers were the caprese and meatballs ricotta. These were delivered by another server who was a delight! He presented them nicely and ensured we had ever bring we needed. These appetizers were delicious! I highly recommend them. We also enjoyed our blackberry smash cocktails! This was our main order - Chicken Picatta with broccolini and spaghetti with marinara, chicken Marsala with fettuccini, fettuccini Alfredo with broccoli and chicken, and lasagna. Each of these were presented by other staff beautifully and were also delicious. However, the broccolini was tough and not tender which made it difficult to cut with a butter knife and chew but it did have a good flavor. The spaghetti did not seem made in restaurant as Erin explained earlier, but the marinara was pretty good. The sauce for each plate was definitely on point!Erin checked in on us once during dinner. We were ready to do dessert for my husband's birthday, but we sat for another 20 minutes after we had finished eating on any appearance from Erin to request a box and put in a dessert. My daughter finally caught her eye across the restaurant so Erin came over. At this point we just wanted a box and the check. These two items miraculously came promptly after finally getting a chance to ask. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here, but we were not impressed in the least with the service we received except from the one guy who dropped off our appetizers. I highly recommend they do a better job with how they handle reservations and the training of their servers. It was noted in the reservation that it was my husband's birthday but it clearly wasn't a consideration by the staff. As impressed as we were with the food, I highly doubt we will ever come back. We are sucker for good mom and pop Italian, but this was a hard miss all around. If you go, go for the food and cocktails only with no expectation for quality service.

Ordered Lamb Shank with Asparagus and potato. I was served 2 lamb chops, overcooked, 4 one inch pieces of asparagus and a few potatoes wedges all smothered in an orange sauce that would have been tasty if I could cut the meat. I gave our waitress a 20% tip but she was really terrible. No water refill, didn't ask to replenish my wine. She had delivered the dessert menu before I had swallowed my last bite of potato. NOT worth 60$...

I don't know where to begin. The service was terrible. We asked for napkins with our meal and were cocktail napkins. We were sat by a large extremely loud party who kept yelling for more vino. Their children ran rampant through the area. The food was cold and I asked that my meatballs be heated up again. When they arrived they were again cold. The Lasagne was mealy in texture. The "homemade noodles" were mushy and tasteless. It was over priced to say the least. Absolutely horrible experience. Buyer beware.

This place was recommended and was not a good one. I give this place a 3 because the food was okay but I've had better. The garlic bread seemed like it was garlic power sprinkled on it. The drinks we had were good. My husband got an Italian soda and I got the blackberry smash which I recommend. The pasta norcina was okay and I ate it all but compared to another restaurant I had back home that served it, it does not compare. My husband liked the chicken parm and broccolini. That was pretty good. The lasagna we split was also okay. All in all not a bad experience and service was good but didn't win me over to make a 30 minute drive

Scalzotto's will always have a place in our heart, we had our marriage rehearsal dinner at the original location and fell in love with their food. We hadn't been to the new location yet so we thought we would give it a shot. We went in Mother's Day weekend which it was extremely packed but they got us in fast. The new restaurant was very nice, all the decor looked great. The food was still delicious just as we remembered it. I got the carbonara which was great, the chicken was a little dry but not bad. My wife ordered the green chili gnocchi and said it was the best gnocchi she has had. If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant look no further than Scalzottos!

I'll start off by talking about what I liked- the ambiance. The place is well decorated & it's significantly better than what I thought it would be like just by looking at the outside of the building.Unfortunately, my wife and I both ordered the lasagna and were significantly underwhelmed. We both felt the lasagna was very much over salted. We both enjoy salt but not to this extent, my wife didn't eat much of her order. The waitress did an average job, not much to say there. Also, we came in for lunch and they don't have lunch specials so each lasagna was $20.00- basically over $50.00 with tip.Not a place we would go back to which is disappointing because this place is close to our house and we love Italian. I do notice that this place does good business so other people must feel very different about the place. For us we won't be back but wish them the best.Happy eating out there!!

Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's the inside that counts! Lots of tasty pastas to choose from! All the ones I've tried were really good. The tiramisu was also really high quality too. Highly recommended.
