"I had the fortune of eating at this restaurant on my last trip to Denver before the pandemic and was very please by my poke bowl which was filled with a generous helping of shrimp and salmon. The ingredients were high quality and fresh, and the bowl was constructed in nice layers with care and good presentation (Fish on the inside, rice on the bottom, mixes on the side). The flavor was very good, especially with the fattiness of the fish. This matched well with the fluffy rice and crisp vegetables. I was quite surprised at how much food was in my bowl as being tall instead of wide made me think that there was less food than there really was.Overall, delicious food, friendly service, big portions, and a reasonable price make this a great place to get Poke."
"Every relationship has its ups and downs. If you don't spend time trying to address those problems they fester and you grow apart. So it's a good thing that when I told RFPB that I thought we needed to go into therapy to strengthen our relationship and work through some of the friction points we were experiencing RFPB was in total agreement. We met for lunch a couple of times and at first things didn't go that well (see last review) so I was concerned and depressed. But the last couple of times we've gotten together (yup, for lunch), we seemed to have been able to work through things and now I can say we're tighter than ever.I'm back to calling her my Duchess and I hope I'm still her Duke.Attached are some pix from friends of mine. The first is a bird's eye view of my pumpkin bunny sweetheart, and the second is an ant's eye view of my little angel muffin from a very different perspective.Sign me,David "Back where we belong" M"

Visit Restaurant Page"Corner Ramem is a cozy and trendy eatery located in Denver that offers Japanese cuisine. The restaurant boasts a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which perfectly complements their delicious menu items. One of their most popular dishes is the yaki udon, which is a stir-fried noodle dish. The yaki udon is packed with flavor and features a variety of fresh vegetables and protein options, such as chicken or tofu. Customers rave about the generous portions and how satisfying the dish is.Another standout menu item is their ramen, which is made from scratch and cooked to perfection. The broth is rich and savory, and the #noodles are perfectly cooked. Customers appreciate the variety of toppings available, such as soft-boiled eggs, pork belly, and vegetables, which add depth and texture to the dish. Finally, the poke bowl is a must-try for any sushi or seafoodlover. The poke bowl is a fresh and healthy option, with a variety of colorful ingredients like raw salmon or tuna, avocado, edamame, and seaweed. The quality and freshness of the ingredients come together in a perfect balance."
"After chatting it up about J.Boog, The Green, Aiea, Pearl City, Back Alley, Nico's and Poke by the Pound my expectations kept climbing. Solid braddah at the counter and unko chopping up the ahi. Could've spent all day talking story and everything boiled down to my combination spicy ahi and ahi limu bowl...Yes, yes, and yes! If you took everything from Oahu and mixed it in bowl, this would be on point! Reminds me of the afternoons I spent chillin' on the bench at Japanese Truck No. 7 in Hale'iwa or hanging out across the street from Kualoa Ranch or even grabbing the anniversary poke at Foodland and planting my tail in KBay. These are the memories this bowl evoked, yet here we are in Denver. haha! Yes, the spicy ahi has a kick to it and leaves your tongue tingling a bit. The ahi limu tames that spice and offers a hint of Hawaiian pink salt that gives you a taste of Hawaii.Service is spot on and since this restaurant is part of the Denver Health building off Broadway, you get a super clean setup as they have only been opened a couple months. Remember to grab your Li Hing goodies on the candy wall too! Those flavors brought back memories of childhood too! Enjoy Aloha Friday specials but otherwise come down for a fresh bowl of poke. As the Terminator once said "I'll be back!" Oh yes, I will! Big mahalos for landing in Colorado!"
"I love hibachi style cooking and was super happy to see Tokyo Hibachi open up close to my office. I have tried a few different entrees and they are all good with huge portions for the price. My fav so far is the teriyaki chicken. Called in my lunchtime order a few times and it is always piping hot and ready when I pick it up. The man taking orders is very sweet."
"This place was great in the city center! I came and it was pretty sparse. They have a lot of options and I took full advantage of the toppings. He gave pretty standard portions for protein and was willing to double toppings for me when I asked! My bowl was delicious and hit the spot, I was pretty full after! Definitely would return again if I'm ever in the area. Price was around $15 before tax for 2 protein bowl."
"The food was delicious! I really enjoyed the duck wings! The service was super fast and very friendly. The ambiance was perfect for a new restaurant!"
"This place has wide selection of ramen. It was kinda hard to decide so I stuck with my normal Shoyu. It was very tasty and just what I needed on a cold winter day. I also ordered edimame which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Service was good and prices were good considering it was a huge bowl. You can actually make it 2 meals if you're not that hungry to finish it in one sitting. Good ramen if you're in the area!"
"I love Pokeworks! It is a chain and I first found out about it when I lived in the DMV. When I saw they had a location in DTC I had to check it out. When I visited I was helped right away and the staff were friendly. I did the create your own bowl and all of the ingredients inside of my bowl were fresh! My go to order if you want to replicate and like spicy is: half brown rice, half greens, spicy tuna for protein and/or spicy salmon, cucumbers, sweet onions, cabbage, sweet corn, edamame, serrano peppers, pokeworks classic and sriracha aioli, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, with ginger on the side.So delicious!"

Finally! Some legit poke in Denver. This place is pure awesomeness and sunshine! It's actually real poke - Hawaiin style! The portions are very generous and the owners are very kind and hospitable! I am definitely coming back here again! Dare I say this is definitely the best poke in Denver!

Don't get me wrong, the food is good. We've gotten it to go a few times but decided to eat here. The flavors are on point. The employee at the register was quiet and didn't answer my questions. No biggie though. If you want hibachi but not pay the high price, eat here. I know I'll be back and the yum yum sauce tastes house made.4 stars: the beef was huge chunks instead of small bites. The beef also had a lot of gristle and was difficult to eat. My daughter spit out several pieces because they were just too hard to eat. The dining area is on the chilly side.

A tiny locally owned spot. Simple menu. Super fresh. Offering exactly what they say they will. Delicious fishies and great portion size. Walkable to many downtown hotels. The perfect place for a really quick take-out lunch.
Visit Restaurant Page"I gave this place another try and happily increase it to 5 stars!Walking in, the restaurant is tastefully decorated and clean. The person who prepared my meal was pleasant and generous in scooping in portions. I got the medium bowl- tuna, spicy tuna, salmon. 2 scoops of crab salad were also included free of charge, along with a side of miso soup that was complimentary. For sauce, I got the spicy sauces. There is enough for another meal tomorrow! Food was top notch and I'll happily go back again!"
"Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical of a new ramen and poke restaurant in a strip mall. Not that I practice the judge a book by its cover mentality...but c'mon you never know! Luckily, Yelpers hit the nail on the head. I eat way more ramen then I do poke. However, the other night I was actually craving a poke bowl. Asuka popped up as one of the only places open in my neck of the woods, so I figured I knock out a local spot from my bookmarks. These cats are no strangers to the scene, with two Denver locations. One down E Colfax and one in Greenwood Village. The digs are simply laid out and very clean. A bright menu board spells out the ramen dishes, poke bowls, and various appetizers. The Spicy Combo Bowl - fresh ingredients are the name of the game here. I'm not expected grade A fish at a place like this when you're mixing all the ingredients together. But hell, the tuna and salmon were fresh and packed with heat. The crisp veggies were a nice touch. Plus, they put a massive portion of white rice in the bottom of the bowl.Additionally, the woman behind the counter prepared this within seconds. Fast, tasty and won't break the bank. Cheggitout!"
"We were meeting a family member of mine that was in town staying in Boulder and figured the Lakewood/Golden location was good to meet in-between us for dinner one night. She accidently went to the Boulder location so she was running late meeting us. This turned in to us dining pretty late right before they closed. I felt bad for being ' those people' who walk in shortly before a place closes and they are trying to clean and wrap things up. Whoops, sorry guys!We all order some sushi burritos (rolls) and sat down while they made them. They came out quick and asked if we needed anything else. We got some wasabi and started chowing down. I got the hamachi crunch poke burrito. I would have ordered mine as a build your own but my burrito would have easily been over $20 so I stuck with the hamachi one. The fish was fresh and the roll had great flavor. I loved all of it except that it wasn't rolled tightly enough and just fell apart. I ended up having to use utensils to eat it as everything kept falling out. But great flavor. After we were done, which was past their closing time, the manager greeted us at the door and you could tell was really grateful we came in, even if it was late. He was really nice and asked us to spread the word! I hope more people hear about this place and check them out. Great sushiritos!"
"This is some of the best sushi you're going to find in Denver. The quality and freshness of the fish is exceptional, even reminding me of some of my favorite west coast sushi joints. The bluefin tuna tasted like the ocean, which previously I only thought possible when eating sushi on the west coast. The size of the rolls and handrolls are substantial, so you can get full eating here and spend very little relative to other sushi places. The ambience here awesome. It's a really tiny place, seems like they can fit at most 20 people. It smells and looks great in there, and during the evening they have nice dim lighting. The sushi chef and the rest of the staff are very nice and attentive. It's a great experience eating here. And it's the kind of place you can come anytime without reservations (still very little people know about this place, not sure why). They also offer delivery which is definitely something I'll take them up on at some point. If you're familiar with Sushi Sasa downtown, I think this has the same owner and the food is similar. I would say though that this place edges out Sushi Sasa slightly because the fish tasted fresher and the rice was warm right out of the rice cooker. I've ate at all the sushi institutions around (Sushi Den, Uchi, Matsuhisa, Temaki Den, Makizushico, etc) and this is legitimately right up there with all of them."
"After so many years the lime green walls are still there and I have been back a number of times. My experience has gone from A-OK to Wow, this is a really good place at an affordable price.Service is very pleasant. The kind waitress seated me about 5pm on a weekday. I was in the area already and decided to catch a quick bite before heading home to watch the Buffs play SDSU. (Go Buffs!). I ordered a couple things to go but also ate there too. I try to mix things up when I can.I had a salad and drunken tiger roll while I are there. Then I took a yellowtail handroll and playa roll to go. Everything was excellent. Taste and texture surprised me with many familiar flavors. Whether you want a quick bite or gather with friends, this is the place for you.I saw a number of people drop by for pickup orders and many others shuffle through for bigger parties. They seem to get a good number of return customers. I will certainly be back. Ding Tea and Beard Papa's are in the same shopping strip. Very convenient to satisfy your sweettooth and even grab some yummy sushi beforehand!"
"My wife and I visited this really nice place a few days ago. It's right next to Chopsticks. Be careful because you might go to the wrong one, depending on what you want. The black garlic noodles are fantastic. I highly suggest them; they're really good."
"Poke, poke, I love POKE! After two visits to Denver Poke Company, I can safely say, "I'm a fan!" Why you ask? Let's talk about it:1. Denver Poke Company is located on Platte St. in the heart of the Highlands neighborhood. There's limited metered street parking nearby, but convenient light rail access.2. The staff is super friendly and more than happy to guide you through building the poke bowl of your dreams. 3. They offer my favorite Aloha Maid Pass-O- Guava drinks to go with my bowl. Def the perfect pairing. 4. They serve up either pre-selected bowls or build your own customizations. I opted for a customized bowl piled high with bamboo infused rice, salmon, spicy tuna, seaweed salad, crab salad, edamame, pickled ginger, furikakae, and spicy poki sauce. YUM!5. Everything tasted wonderfully fresh and extra delicious. Just how poke should.Denver Poke Company is just what I needed to curb my poke craving."
"In the middle of an icy cold snowy day, what more could warm the heart up than a delicious bowl of ramen! We found this place to warm ourselves up for lunch and discovered a simple and delicious ramen place in the heart of Denver. Hidden away amongst a handful of shops, this place was simple and small but not overwhelmingly busy. Their menu is large and covers both poke and ramen; even letting you build your own poke bowl with an enormous amount of options. We got the chicken ramen and the ton katsu ramen, both absolutely delicious. This bowl is large for the low price and worth every sip. The service is fast at turning around the food too. If you are in need of some delicious ramen that really hits the spot check this place out!"
"Poke Me is a special place that's relatively new to the Belmar shopping district of Lakewood. Unassuming from the outside, but when you enter you're greeted by the most friendly people in a bright and welcoming atmosphere. To be honest, I haven't had a great poke bowl in quite some time. Maybe I just don't seek poke spots out enough. The truth of the matter is, this place separates itself from the pack. Every single ingredient they offer is served fresh. They also make their sauces in house. And boy what a difference it makes!I went with a dealer's choice of sorts. You can trust the amazing team behind the line to put together something memorable that caters to your taste buds. I went with Tuna, Salmon and Sweet & Spicy Ground Tuna (an absolute gamechanger!) One thing I like is that they marinate the fish in their sauces before assembling the poke bowl. This is key for optimal flavor! As far as toppings, I couldn't say no to everything they recommended. It was the kitchen sink of poke bowls and I mean that as the ultimate compliment. Adding spicy mayo on top of it all took an already amazing dish to new heights. The owners are actually a brother/sister duo, Huy and Linh. It makes the experience all the more rewarding knowing it's a family owned and operated business behind the scenes. One thing I noticed while dining in is that they talked to each table when they weren't busy preparing dishes. They value their customer feedback and their warmth and generosity shows.I hope this restaurant prospers all the way to the moon. Legitimately one of the best poke bowls I've ever had in my life!"
"Once upon a time, just to spoil myself I would buy some lunch with my meager savings. As a college student, I often brought my own lunch, but one day I thought hey, why not.s'ONO! first opened up on campus my last year of college. My first poke bowl and certainly not my last. It opened doors for me in the Poke world.I ordered the Spicy Tuna Poke. For the price, it was piled with vegetables and tuna. You can opt out the rice, but I love rice. The vegetables were fresh, the tuna was fresh, oh my god, everything about this meal made me feel healthy and happy. The best kind of combination."
"Came for lunch and had an amazing meal here! Kings Hawaiian sliders were solid, but the highlight was the mini spicy tuna poke bowl - so good. Spam musubi was also great!"
"This was my second time to Turtle Boat. The first time was when they first opened and I was new to poke and only liking Poke City style poke. This second go around I really enjoyed Turtle Boat so much more. I loved that they had more unique fish and toppings options, some of which were local. The portion also felt huge! My cons were I really didn't love that they used fake crab for their crab salad and though everything was fresh it really lacked depth of flavor. Maybe I should have tried 2 sauces rather than just the spicy Mayo to bring things together better!"
"It was a gloomy day, so I needed a little "sunshine" lunch. I placed my order online and it was awesome! I ordered their regular sized bowl and was able to do SO MUCH customization. The bowl turned out perfectly to my taste and there was zero wait when I arrived to pick up.I'm a huge fan of this place and I've only had them twice!"
"Craving a poke bowl as I made my way home from my morning classes, I decided to make a little pit stop near Union Station at Menya Ramen and Poke. The LOCATION: Locate at the foot of the Millenium Bridge in the heart of Downtown Denver and close to Union Station, Menya Ramen and Poke is perfectly situated for the busy commuter. The SPACE: I really enjoyed the set-up of the restaurant. There's a ton of different seating, and it has a really fun aesthetic. I think the only drawback I noticed was that it smelled a little odd during my visit. I'm hoping it was just a one off, so I won't hold that against them. They do have a patio space that would be great for soaking up those sunny Colorado days. The EATS: For my meal I opted for the DIY Poke Bowl with the following: Poke tuna, poke salmon, seaweed salad, avocado and crab meat over rice. You then choose additional toppings to customize it just how you'd like. I always add edamame, ginger, and avocado. It was definitely fresh and delicious! The DRINKS: While I decided to sip on water during my visit, they do offer a variety of soda, tea, sake, and beer for your enjoyment! While I chose to not get an RTD pass this semester, I'd pop back by Menya Ramen and Poke to check out more of their menu offerings if I find myself in the area again!"
