Mexico City Restaurant & Lounge

Wow what an incredible restaurant! Came here for a group event and was blown away by the incredible service and food. Super fun mexican restaurant with an awesome ambiance and warm, welcoming, and hospitable staff. Also really enjoyed all the Tv's located around the restaurant so we were able to watch both the hockey and basketball playoffs while we enjoyed an incredible dinner. I would say my favorite dishes were the fried tacos and the chicken enchiladas. Again, so appreciative of the wonderful staff and delicous food. It was also great to meet the owner Dave. He was hustling behind the bar, bussing tables, talking to guests, and just really working hard to take care of the guests and his employees. Thank you so much Mexico City, cannot wait to come back soon and have some more delicious food and drinks!

I can't believe I have never done a review of this place. I am a HUGE fan of deep fried tacos (also how I make mine at home) and they have delicious ones at Mexico City. Not many places make them like this. The ground beef are my favorite dripping with juices and filled with lettuce and fresh tomatoes. I love how each one is shaped different than any others because they are made fresh and by hand. I cannot get enough of these tacos. The bartenders and staff are always so cool and laid back. Make it a very comfortable place to have some good food, something to wash it down with and watch some sports on the TV in the bar. Steve was our bartender this last weekend and that dude is funny. I like his attitude. The location is great too right next to the Rockies stadium. We stop in for breakfast before games and I just learned about their Thursday special with 2 tacos and a drink for $10. Great deal. I will be back for that deal. My boyfriend and I checked this place out for dinner because it looked good, but the food wasn't great. I got this cheese enchilada, he got the steak burrito. There was hardly any flavor, besides the sauce being good. Service was awesome, but we wouldn't come here again for food unless it was for the fried tacos which seems like is what this place is known for.

We had heard so much about this place and decided to finally try it. Cute, clean, no frills place with a mexican cantina/rustic urban vibe. Service was great & everyone helps each other out, in that, we had a designated server, but a couple others came to check on us, brought dishes, the check, etc. It was nice bc we didn't have to wait long for anything. True team players here. Food came rather quickly, and it was not too loud, considering how steady they were just hours prior to the Bronco game. The salsa that comes with the complimentary chips was GOOD! Smoky, savory taste - it would be nice if that was served in a giant mixing bowl and they provided spoons for people who like to drink salsa. The entrees were pretty good. 2 of 3 in our party ordered the 3-taco combo in order to try every type. Only 1 steak taco tasted a bit "off". The deep fried taco shells were yummy, i would like a bit more salt on them, but they were still crunchy, not too oily, and yum. I had the ground beef fried taco, crispy chili relleno, and bean tostada combo plate. Man alive, the green chili drowning the relleno was off the chain! I salivate just thinking about it. The flavor was unique and delicious, & so " you look amazing in those jeans" good! Beans tasted like good ole canned rosarita and the rice was just ok, but honestly, who needs those distractions? Stopped by before a Rockies day game , possibly they will lose their 100th game of the season today. Yes there was a line, but the wait time was short (15 minutes) and well worth it.Haven't been here in years as there is always a line. Had combo #3, crispy chili relleno, bean tostada, and a fried beef taco. Smothered half hot / half mild chili. All items were delicious and a lot better than I remembered.Ambiance was "rustic", hey it's a little worn down but that's what I like. Corporate business' are supplanting all of my good old haunts down here in the Ballpark Neighborhood (El Chapultepec to name just one).Service was fast and friendly.

Fried tacos were delicious! Price and service was great, too. The atmosphere was comfortable.

The chile relleno egg rolls are amazing. The chips and salsa were delicious and unlimited. The food was good. The assorted fried tacos hit the spot, and the prices were decent. We will be back for sure.

Amazing food. Staff was wonderful. The owners took the time to ask us about our experience. It was a delightful experience.

We went here on Saturday. First you need to know it's not in the best part of town. When we got there , a man in the window asked for party size and name, you are not allowed in until a table is ready. When we got inside It is very small and crowded. We noticed the young lady washing water cups behind the bar just dipping them in not washing them. We ordered our margaritas which were only ok and 2 entries one carnitas which I did enjoy and steak which none of us could eat. This meal with the 6 tacos and 3 drinks was 70$. Which I thought it was a lot for what we got and ambiance. Sorry I didn't agree with those other people but I would not recommend this place

I used to go when I was younger before they started changing the area and I will tell you it's still as good as it was then. I bring my family in now just to eat the steak tacos.I highly recommend. Love this place it will always be a favorite.
