"Excited to try this place after seeing the great reviews. The upfront is a little confusing, as it appears to be counter service, which is where we ordered and took a seat, only to then understand it's also table service if you're eating in. Oh well. It all worked out. Not realizing we were getting lunch specials that came with fries., we ordered a few different appetizers to split. The falafel, veggie paneer, and garlic naan were all delicious, as were the hummus, tzatziki and other sauces that came with them. We also enjoyed our lamb tikka masala burger and vegetarian tikka masala burger. The regular and sweet potato fries were fine but nothing special. However, the lunch deal of burger, fries, and drink for a set price was a nice surprise. Everything was good, and we wouldn't hesitate to come here again."

Visit Restaurant Page"Saj is Palestinian owned and it's nice to have a restaurant in Aurora instead of traveling down to Denver. It was catered at an event I had attended. There was a good variety of salad, hummus, chips, falafel, spicy potatoes, etc. Each catering tray had a lot of food so this was great for an event. A nice variety of vegetarian and meat options. I like the salad, hummus, and spicy potatoes. The salad had olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and cheese. The spicy potatoes did have a kick to them. The falafels were just okay."
"It had gotten late and we were so hungry. We selected this restaurant because they appeared to be open until 10 PM. When we said we wanted to dine in, we were told they were closing at 9:30. That still gave us ample time to eat. This place is along a row of international restaurants. Inside, it's not huge, but it's cozy and clean. The Gyros plate was large and came with a salad. The presentation was beautiful. The ingredients were obviously fresh, and the meal was delicious."
"Best falafel I have had in the city so far. I loved the outdoor seating and walkability to other places."
"Now yall know u love my Arabic food especially with me being Lebanese so I'm critical when I go to these restaurants. This one is also a gem and was so amazing. I got a chicken shawarma along with a mixed grill plate. Everything and I mean everything was perfect down to the seasonings that reminded me of home! The owners were Lebanese as well and the most friendliest people and accommodating service I ever had. If you're ever in the area you definitely have to eat here"
"Definitely a warm cozy vibe. Plenty indoor seating and a couple of tables outside as well. Staff was really nice.Highly recommend the Beef shawarma sandwiches. Everyone else enjoyed what they ordered, Chicken tacos, , chicken shawarma, harira soup and gyro.I'd recommend the place, and would definitely visit again if I'm in the area."
"Came back to try this place again after a few months and changes to the menu--and was much more impressed. It seems as though some much needed changes were made after my last visit. I have to say I was stuck between 4 and 5 stars for the food alone, but the service pushed me over the edge on giving a 5 star review. The food was much better this time--our highlights were the Beef Brochettes (so tender and flavorful), the Barbajuan (the flakiness of the ravioli was so good) and the Almond Cake. The stuffed dates were the only item we ordered that we didn't love, but that was more of a specific flavor that just wasn't for me I think. The service was absolutely outstanding and definitely made this dinner experience notable. We will be back."
"Loved this place and it is only a few blocks from the Hampton Inn Speer Blvd. They have pork souvlaki, which is very hard to find in the United States. My wife loved the Greek Salad and I enjoyed the Gyro Combo with fries and drink. The fries have a wonderful seasoning, highly recommended. The owner is very friendly and he takes a lot of pride in his cuisine and we loved the background music. If we ever return to Denver, this is the first restaurant we would come back to!!!"
"Feeling hungry and wanted a quick bite. Was wandering the food court and came across this place. Ordered their gyro plate. Omg, the food is so delicious and flavorful. The rice was light, fresh, and seasoned. The beef and lamb meat was delicious full of authentic flavor. For the price that I paid for, it is very reasonable and the food amount was good. I most definitely will eat here again when I'm shopping. Come check out this place. Yummy and a great quick fix!"
"I've had Bosphorus on my radar for a while now, and after seeing it make Yelp's Top 50 Places to Eat in Denver, I couldn't wait any longer!I showed up for lunch at around 1PM on a weekday, perfectly timed as another guest was just leaving -- no waiting for a table! I could have spent hours gawking at the menu. After a recent trip to Greece, I've been longing for some tasty & authentic Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food, and everything looked incredible. Somewhat of a panic decision, I went with the chicken gyro sandwich and a stuffed grape leaf. When asked if I wanted rice, fries, or a salad with my sandwich, I asked for rice, and was met with "hmmmm, are you sure about that?". Melih (very easily!) convinced me to change to fries and WOW I am so glad I did...hands down some of the best fries I have ever had, perfectly crispy and seasoned so well! The gyro meat was phenomenal and packed with flavor. The stuffed grape leaf was also delish! Huge portions and incredibly fair pricing!Although the food was awesome, my 5-star experience here really was brought together by the friendliest staff/owners, a cozy/homey/authentic spot filled with awesome Turkish history on the walls, and the most welcoming atmosphere. I will absolutely be back to try the Iskender Kebab, Fried Eggplant, and Turkish Tea (and to get more fries!)."

I thought this place is pretty good. It has a unique concept combining American and Indian food. I tried the Marsala Burger and I'd give it a 7.5 out of ten.I liked the fries with the dipping sauce. I think the place is interesting and if you're looking for something different; or looking for someplace open late- this may be your spot to try.For me, I doubt I'll be back. Keep in mind the place is good, service was great. There's plenty of seating, as it's a long shaped restaurant.Ultimately I like other burger places better and other Indian places better. The place is good but my mind wasn't blown. If you want to try something different, try everyone else seems to love this place- it just wasn't my cup of tea.Happy eating!

Absolutely LOVED the service here! The food was excellent (especially the spicy hummus and the baklava), and they have a stunning mural across the main large wall, which adds great ambiance. I also thought the prices were great.Saj would be great for a group, since they have an open, casual eating space, and the food comes out quick. I'm looking forward to coming back, especially for one of the open mic nights they host here sometimes. I think it's awesome that it's also the only Palestinian woman owned spot in our state!

It's located in an old building dying to be renovated. After carefully maneuvering the pot holes and crowded parking lot, we were able to secure the space. About 6 pm, one customer was inside. Decided to check the other restaurant which appeared to be more modern. Only one customer also. Saw gyro platter for $19.99 and, after looking at the Yelp rating, decided to try this place. Not so impressed 1st of all, the waitress was busy talking on her cell phone face timing and couldn't careless about customers. She motioned us to grab a table while chatting onnthe phone. After seating down, she brought two menus and went back to the counter. She was back at it again. Place was loud with music and her voice added to the noise assault to my ears.Since she didn't take the order and I didn't know the steps, I got up to order at the counter. She motioned me to sit down and she came over to take the order. Our grape leaves and salad came out quickly. About 5 minutes later, our food came out to the counter, but she was busy trying to take care of phone orders. The grape leaves were good. Side salad was plain but ok. The gyro plate was ok. Hummus and rice were well seasoned and loved it. The interior of the restaurant is old and didn't look too clean. Looks like the floors are new. I can also smell the faint sewage order. Good thing it didn't get worse. If I was doing the takeout, I would have given 4 stars or higher on their food. For in dining experience, two at the best. If I gave a 5-star review, I would have gotten the baklava. That's what the handwritten sign suggests.I may come back and try the other meat combo.Wish me luck!

Vesper Lounge is a fun little spot for dinner. A lot of outdoor seating. The inside is very dark. The food was all delicious but took a very long time to come out.

I had kept seeing this restaurant whenever I drove on Colorado Blvd for years. This row of middle eastern restaurants had always intrigued me so finally today, I made a quick stop to get me some vegetarian food for lunch. Its entrance is quite grandiose compared to other restaurants' but once you're inside you'll be amazed at its simple/clean interior. I kind of saw a lady cleaning the floors/tables while I was taking some photos outside; that same lady greeted me at the ordering counter. I sensed some warmth coming from her; thank you!!Their menu is simple, too. In a way, it was easy for me to decide. As soon as I spotted what I was craving for (something vegetarian), I wasted no time to order it. The prices are kind of high for entrees at this restaurant though ($19 and above.) And it appears that they serve the same things throughout the day so there appeared to be no separate menu for lunch or dinner. Even Hummus plates are $18. Sandwiches and salads are decently priced however. It took them good 15 minutes before my food was ready. This was okay; I wasn't in a huge hurry. I tried not to have any expectations but was slightly hoping that the quality of the food would be top notch(because $26 after tax/tip was a bit too high for a quick lunch plate.) As soon as I got home, I started my lunch right away. When I opened the container of my veggie plate, I was shocked to see some French fries lying on top of everything. How weird!! I've never seen a middle eastern food decorated by French fries so I kind of thought what the need was for that (lol!!) Is this necessary?? Without further ado, I started digging into the main ingredients of the plate. Falafels, grape leaves, hummus, greens and rice were all beautifully placed inside the container and they all tasted really good. Their falafels are probably the best tasting ones I've ever had. While I was still enjoying the nice meal, I still couldn't get over the unnecessary French fries. Don't get me wrong; I have nothing against French fries. I just think that they don't belong in this middle eastern food (lol) is all!!Overall, this place does serve good quality Lebanese food. One thing I enjoy eating at a middle eastern or Lebanese restaurant is (stir fried) eggplant This restaurant doesn't serve it (I don't think.) I don't know how long it's been since the last time they updated their menu but it'd nice to see some eggplant dish added to it in the future (that is my little request/suggestion.)

We were immediately greeted when we walked in. The vibe was nice and felt like walking into someone's home with the sofas against the walk and an older feel. I felt great being greeted by the nice lady at the front. Our food came out on the slower side given we were the only people in the entire place. I ordered your standard gyro and it was actually good along with the salad. However, we were never given an update on food or offered refills on our water. I may go back to get something to-go but doubt I will dine in again. I hope that changes for future patrons.
Visit Restaurant Page"This gem was fantastic! Their homemade bread was mouthwatering coming out of a clay oven. The koobideh (ground lamb/beef) was juicy and flavorful and the rice was perfect. The lentil soup was divine so rich and light/ packed with flavors. Highly recommend everything on the menu! Their desserts are delicious as well, looks like it's owned by a couple, mom and pop style which I loved. Ambiance was elevated for the fast causal experience."
"The place was empty when we arrived accept for on person finishing his bill settlement. We stood at the counter a few minutes looking at the menus on the counter. A pleasant woman emerged and as if we wanted anything and we said we wanted to eat i . We grabbed the menu and chose a table. She appeared to be working alone. We were finally able to order after about 10 minutes and were given drinks from the cooler. Doesn't seem full service but it was Monday at 1:30 so maybe no staff??The food to me was average in taste. I might try the lamb next time if in the area. I wasn't impressed as some reviewers with the ambiance or the food. The prices are reasonable so it's worth a visit and let your tastebuds decide."
"Very good take-out order of baba ganoush and lamb kebabs. Those who read every review I write (yeah, right:), will know that I'm on a quest for the best baba ganoush in Denver. So while my honey was partying this evening I picked up some to-go-ganoush at the Tuti Grill down on South Holly just past Evans. Had its high and low points. The baba ganoush was lemony and well finished with olive oiled. I'd give it a four out of five ganoush stars. The kebabs were well seasoned and tasty, but were made of ground and formed kebab pieces and not cubed fresh cut chunks of lamb. The pita tasted fine but store-bought (though I might be wrong about that). Fairly priced and a good amount of food I'll have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. All-in-all a very good but not spectacular experience and it left me still looking for the perfect baba gee.Sign me,David "baba gee gee" M"
"Love Byblos and never disappointed. The gyros are some of my favorite and don't sleep on the garlic dip as a side. Drool worthy! The baklava is also a great way to end the meal. Very easy to order online and the service is impeccable. Not only are the extremely fast, they are the absolute nicest!! Byblos, thank you for being such a great, tasty option in our neighborhood."
"** CLOSED DUE TO FIRE DAMAGE NEXT DOOR ** I don't want to give a negative review, so just adding this here. They were closed on a Sunday night and had a sign on the window mentioning their closure until further notice due to damage from the restaurant next door that took place from arson earlier in the week. I actually heard about the damage on the news, both there, as well as the sports bar a few doors down in the strip center. Anyway, I'd recommend calling before going by to see if they've reopened."
"Super nice service, the ladies there were very friendly. Feel like a family type of food. For $14 I got a Kobeda kebab plate, everything is freshly made, taste like home. Highly recommend this small gem in Boulder for Halal."
"I hadn't utilized Fel Fel in a long time until I finally went here to grab a plate of food from it tonight. Glad I did!!This is one of the best eateries in the very neighborhood I reside in. I can walk here from my house.I have to say that the last occasion was at least 3 years ago. I think I utilized it during the heavy-duty COVID time. I remember getting an annoying stomachache after eating their food so maybe this discouraged me from going here. It sure had been a long time since. It was time that I tried them again. The ordering system is a bit different now. Before COVID, I had utilized it a few times. I do remember walking up to the ordering counter and interacted with a live person to place orders. They now have several kiosks. I kind of like this system better (not that I don't want to talk to a person.)Kiosks truly walk you through the menu thoroughly. There are no confusions. They even make some recommendations (as to which hummus goes well with the plate or bowl you are ordering etc.) I actually went against all the recommendations the machine made and went with what I wanted (it is the rebellious side of me!!) Instead of the spicy hummus, I went with the non-spicy (the spicy one is too spicy for me; I remember my mouth was on fire when I had the spicy!); instead of the Mediterranean salad, I went with the Baba Ganoush, instead of the tabouleh, I went with the garlic sauce and so on....I got me a little add-on at the end: 2 falafels for $1. I also signed up for the rewards (I cannot wait to accumulate points for free food in the future!) Once paid, the lady who was standing to the right of the kiosks told us (the diners) that she'd call everyone's name upon their food being ready. The receipt produced by the kiosk even showed the estimated time of food being ready. The same lady who was standing right next to the kiosks called my name at the exact time on the receipt. She politely thanked me and handed me my food. Before I took off, I made sure everything was on the plate. Yup, everything looked good. When I was leaving, the same lady thanked me again and this time with a big smile! Great service indeed! As soon as I got home, I started my dinner. By the way, what I got was Lamb Shawarma plate with regular (non-spicy) hummus, baba ganoush, garlic sauce and two falafels. Although the meat was a bit dry, everything tasted really good. The smokiness in the baba ganoush, rich garlic sauce, hummus tasted very traditional, and falafels were nice and crispy. This plate made my night for sure!***Note***What I appreciate about this restaurant is the fact that they care about our health. I noticed three messages on the restaurant wall when I was there and they said, "99% of our menu is gluten free", "avocado oil used in all of our marinades" and no hormones no antibiotics". Personally, I only cook food with single sourced extra virgin oil (and occasionally avocado oil. Three healthiest oils are extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil and coconut oil; I do my best to avoid PUFA oils as they are extremely unhealthy.) Although I can consume gluten, I focus on gluten free foods. And no hormones/no antibiotics? Heck yes!! They all resonate with me! And the restaurant inside was absolutely spotless clean!!!"
"What exactly is this place? It's a home cooked meal, typical central Asian cuisine of Uzbekistan.Staples are:Samsa: lamb and onion filled pastry made in a clay tandoor.Plov: rice pilaf topped with carrots and beef (3/5 in this place) Kebabs: marinated, scewered pieces of meat grilled over charcoalShurpa: lamb soup Overall it's a well executed meal, it's tasty and ok value for the money. Consistent, filling and unusual. Give it a try, homey spot in this area."
"Fast casuals like this I'm totally on board. Everything that we tried here is delicious! We started with their delicious Arugula Caesar with this incredible housemade dressing and croutons. I could eat a big bowl by myself! They're not kidding with their fettuccine Alfredo. Pasta is made in-house. Suppose you order the adorable and delicious pizza log. Think of them as really fancy mozzarella sticks only to be wrapped with an egg roll wrapper and stuffed with mozzarella and pepperoni, and served with a side of warm red sauce. A staff favorite :) 4 pieces to an order. The addicting Garlic Broccoli ( I swear!) is soo good! Their chicken Parm with eggplant is so yummy! You have to order the sizeable house-made meatball. Finger licking good! They carry their own house white and red wines. And some local beers. Now for dessert, they have this house-made Ricotta cookie to die for! For 11 years Ryan the owner has been running this lovely little Italian heaven.Highlights:Arugula Caesar with an incredible house made dressing Pizza Log-housemadeMeatball-housemadeGarlic BroccoliSpaghetti Eggplant ParmItalian Sausage Ricotta CookieAll the photos on the walls are actually the owner's Ryan DiFranco's family! "Lots of Moroccan influences, but I wish they served my Lamb Tagine in a Tagine. We also got their Mezi Platter with Lentil soup, but past on the Lentil soup. It's not as creamy as I would have preferred. This place has a large bar area to sit and great for large parties. However - it took 70 minutes for our entrees to come out. So, make sure you have extra time in-between whatever you need to get to while coming here."
"First-time experience at Zaman, and I'll be glad to return.Hadn't eaten lunch and only had some coffee and a bit of yogurt for breakfast, so come 2 pm I was hunnngry. But the problem was my honey and I were meeting friends for an early dinner out and so I didn't want to ruin my appetite. Hence the question of what to do. Passed by Zaman and had seen some very good reviews of it and had the great thought: hey, maybe they sell appetizer sized portions of one of my favorite Middle Eastern dishes--baba ghanoush with a pita. I was thinking, maybe I could have a few bites of that and not spoil my appetite for dinner a little later. So that's what I did. I stopped on by and picked up a to-go order since they did have that on the menu and bingo...food problem solved.Didn't just like it. I loved it. Almost as good as Yayha's, my favorite Middle Eastern spot, so I will be happy to try out some of their other dishes. Liked the fast casual set-up and the nice people who ran the place. All-in-all an excellent experience.Sign me,David "Satisfied but not filled up"M."
"Not really fancy digs. But that allows them to bring wholesome food at a reasonable price. We had the chicken kabob. Comes with a side salad a nicely seasoned rice. Our other dish was the gyro, also with sides. The gyro was a little too heavily salted representing the only flaw in our meal. Overall a pleasant experience."
"Their near perfect reviews left by many truly speak for the kind of restaurant it is. It's only 10 minutes away from my northeast DTC house. How come I didn't discover this place until a few days ago? This is not necessarily a fancy restaurant in any way but it sure is a clean restaurant. When I arrived at the peak dinner time, one of the workers was cleaning the little mess left behind by a diner. And she was very thorough in cleaning. I picked up one of the menus at a table and that was when this super friendly gentleman in the kitchen asked me, "Is this here or to go, my friend?" Ahh, thank for calling me a friend! Like I always do, instead of getting me a huge entree plate, I got me a few sides as a nice accompaniment to what I already have at home. Grape leaves and tzatziki sauce definitely sounded good to me on top of falafels. The same guy in the kitchen continued to be friendly to me while I was placing my order. He carried on a nice casual small talk conversation with me without any pause. He truly made an effort to get to know me. Once home, I immediately started my dinner. I was truly impressed with the grape leaves. They are marinated with jalapeño so they've got a good kick in it. This is very unique for grape leaves as I've never had spicy ones before. Falafels are nice and brown with perfect crunchiness. The tzatziki sauce was great for dipping some raw veggies I had in my fridge. Later that night, my daughter came by with empty stomach. To the question she asked me, "Do you have any food?" I replied with an evil looking grin on my face, "Yes, I've got just that!" and gave her some of the leftovers from my earlier dinner. She was beyond impressed with everything especially the grape leaves! "Where did you get all this great food?" she asked to which I replied, "Grape Leaves Mediterranean Restaurant on Mississippi and Peoria!" "Mom, we need to go back soon to get us more of those!" she uttered! This restaurant instantly gained a few die hard fans that night!!"
"The letters on the door say closed on Sunday, but there are two lit signs that will say Open!Great chicken shawarma, best falafels, and surprisingly enough for me - the gyro meat was amazing. I am not a fan of lamb, but this I will have any day!I think the location just changed names. I recommended going here for a great Mediterranean meal."
"Good foodGood service Cozy ambiance I recommend it for family gatherings Good for lunch Lamb Chops"
"Amazing food and amazing ambience! My husband and I came here after our wedding for a celebratory dinner. Our waiter was amazing and the staff made sure we had a table with an amazing view, outdoors. I cannot wait to go back here again"
"Sadly disappointed. I was looking forward to trying this place with my half-Armenian mother-in-law who thought this place would live up to its star reviews. It was almost empty when we arrived on Saturday evening at 5:00 PM and the employees seemed eager to be helpful. Our server was very sweet. We ordered grape leaves and garlic dip with pita for appetizers and the grape leaves were fresh, warm and tasty. It was served with a yogurt dip which had little flavor but the garlic dip had ALL the garlic in Denver whipped into its fluffiness. It was actually too garlicky (I can't believe I'm saying that) but I added it to all the rest of the food I ordered which helped a little. While the pita bread looked freshly made, it was too hard and crispy to enjoy, like some ingredient was missing or the flour was old. My "salad" was comprised of chunked cucumber & tomatoes with a sprinkle of red onions but no dressing. Kinda bland. The 3-kebab plate I ordered came out smelling terrific and the rice was fabulously fragrant but the koftka was dry and over cooked as was the chicken kebab. The lamb kebab was tender and tasty however. The hummus was beautiful to behold but was sadly flavorless. It's like they forgot to season this batch when making it. A band began to set up prior us leaving, so perhaps it was good that we left. I really wanted to like this place but regrettably I cannot recommend it."
"Small menu means they know what they're doing! It shows! Delicious food and awesome service! Carefully curated plate a Persian restaurant with the most tastiest meat ever! The Koobideh ( ground beef) and Chicken Kabob ( joojeh)charbroiled, was so tasty plus the Lamb! It was the best lamb in recent memory! The Basmati Saffron Rice was unbeatable in taste. The grilled tomato and charred jalapeño on the side were an added bonus. The Smoky Eggplant( Mirza Ghasemi) and house made hummus. The is smoked and so delicious. Roasted tomato, garlic and Himalayan Salt, with a plateful of warm pita bread. The hummus was creamy and so tasty! I'm thinking of returning when I walked out their door!"
"This is the best spot for authentic Mediterranean food at a very reasonable price considering the amount of food you get. The gyro meat is incredibly good and flavorful. Also love their falafels and wouldn't go anywhere else. The kataifi is incredible and their baklava is great as well. Located in a small strip mall and not the most assuming place at all with a small amount of parking spots in front. The inside is a grocery store selling all sorts of really cool foods from all over the Mediterranean. The owner always behind the counter is very kind. Love this place and have already gone here twice! There is a small table inside so taking out is the best way to go."
